“I’ve stopped in a few times with my husband when we are on long walks to get the beer and hotdog special that runs until 5pm. The service is always excellent, extensive beer selection with something for everyone. The hotdog is a good size and really delicious. Atmosphere is excellent and it’s usually not too crowded. Really nice pub experience.“

“We had the pleasure of eating at Four Mile Brew Pub on Sep 2nd, 2024. We were visiting Victoria on a Cruise Ship and a local couple picked this establishment for lunch along with another local couple. The food and service were outstanding, and the building is beautiful inside and out. We ate in the pub area and really enjoyed the experience. The manager really came thru, though. When paying a card case dropped to the ground and we didn't notice it. The manager found it, and seeing a California phone number called and got the house sitter who gave the Cruise Ship information, and then let us know. The manager dispatched an employee to return the card case. The house sitter let us know and we were able to talk to the manager and since the employee was on the way, we were able to meet him and retrieve the case. High praise to the staff! Thanks!“

“We were surprised to find a pub with so many gluten free options! Bartholomew's has a dedicated GF fryer and has lots of options on the menu that are all clearly marked. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We had the loaded potato skins, fish & chips, and chicken parmesan (not GF). Everything was fantastic!“

“We had dinner here while staying in the hotel. The views from the patio are amazing, the food is about what you’d expect from a good but not great hotel restaurant. As a celiac diner there were not that many gluten free options, but our waiter explained their allergy/cross contamination protocols and it’s clear they take it really seriously so I felt safe with what I ordered. They also gave us really yummy gf macarons as a free sweet treat at the end of the meal!“

“Came in today after dealing with my elder dad in the hospital. Music has always been a big part of my life. I attended the jam and for 3 hours I didn't have a worry in the world. Thanks to my server for great service the cook for a delicious beef dip and the musicians that gave me a well welcomed break from worrying about my Dad. My new must visit venue on every trip to Victoria.“

The choices for each course were excellent as well. The noise level in the family section of the pub was pleasantly moderate, a change from the usual LOUD!“

“Lovely little vacation on campus. Aside from having my marriage reception there in the 90's, I was a member for a time decades later and have been to several events, or just wandered by after work for a meal and a drink. Nice surroundings with the headwaters of Bowkers creek outside on the patio. Occasional deer sightings and of course water fowl in the pond. For a while they had a whisky club that I was a member of. Perry the bartender was absolutely brilliant.“

“Never went here before last night but was really impressed by the food service and atmosphere. We had a party of 10 for a family Christmas dinner and it was amazing. The staff were so friendly and welcoming. First we had Sesame Ginger Gyoza and the Calamari and Chicken wings for appetizers which started our night really well. Followed by an assortment of entries including the Hollywood Burger Steak Frites the Szechuan Beef Noodle Bowl and the #28 Dragon Bowl. Each of these entries were all delicious. Then we had the desserts which were the Key Lime Pie and the Oreo cheesecake which both were very delicious. This place checked all the boxes. Service to Friendly staff to exceptional food. They can serve a small party of 2 to a party of 10 without a sweat. We are making this place our place not only for a place for Christmas gatherings but a fun place to go for dinner and drinks and lunch every day of the week. I am really looking forward to trying more items of their menu in the near future“
