“We had the pleasure of eating at Four Mile Brew Pub on Sep 2nd, 2024. We were visiting Victoria on a Cruise Ship and a local couple picked this establishment for lunch along with another local couple. The food and service were outstanding, and the building is beautiful inside and out. We ate in the pub area and really enjoyed the experience. The manager really came thru, though. When paying a card case dropped to the ground and we didn't notice it. The manager found it, and seeing a California phone number called and got the house sitter who gave the Cruise Ship information, and then let us know. The manager dispatched an employee to return the card case. The house sitter let us know and we were able to talk to the manager and since the employee was on the way, we were able to meet him and retrieve the case. High praise to the staff! Thanks!“

“This is a bit more mainstream than the places I like to eat. But what can I say? I always end up coming here. I travel a lot for work and there always seems to be a brown social House close to my hotel.
I usually end up there just by elimination and I'm never disappointed.
Of course I'm always looking for something weird and out of the ordinary, but there is something to be said about the reliable . Browns is that.
I always get the blackened chicken fediccini because it's always good and enough food .
Staff is always pleasant .
I am a typical middle aged bar Parton , heading in after a long day for dinner before bed .
Sometimes the servers face is the only smile I'll see all day . I don't think she is in love with me or we are going to hook up . It's just basic warmth , human comfort . I really do appreciate it .
There's always a spot at the bar ,
There's always a cold beer
There's always a warm server .
To top it off - started in North van , that's a home grown fanchies , and that's a forsure right on .“

“I love the drinks and the bartenders. I always sit at the bar and have the greatest time and great service.
Very disappointed to hear that they are cutting down the amount of taps. It’s one of the main reasons I come here and many others do as well.

They have Non-Alc for those who dont drink but like to be social, many options on top, and bottle. Food was OK. It may have just been an off night but the atmosphere is fantastic. “I found myself venturing out to the Snug at the Oak Bay Beach hotel on a quiet Friday morning, I was nicely greeted upon entry and given the option to sit inside the well decorated and cozy portion of the pub or to enjoy the stunning water front views on the patio.

Upon sitting on the patio I was given a menu and a quick ask for what sort of beverage I wish to have. My server Charlotte was outstanding with her hospitality, made me feel with the upmost welcome to my brief visit to the restaurant. My coffee was quickly delivered and was delicious to say the least. I was able to endrudged in a amazing muffin which was so tasty I find myself craving for more. Followed by the eggs benedict which was delightful surprise.
All in all a wonderful experience. With the peace and serenity and the amazing hospitality from my server Charlotte I felt so welcomed and felt almost as if it was my own home, I will definitely be returning.“

“I have been in Victoria for just over a year now and as a musician it’s a fantastic place to hang out, to jam, and to meet people.. open mic jam nights on Wednesdays and Sundays are always lots of fun and you never know who or what you’ll see… entertainment seven days a week highly recommended !!“

“My husband popped in for lunch. He had the burger & fries - both were delicious. I had the chicken salad sandwich and soup. The soup was really spicy, tasted a bit like curry. I couldn't eat it but my husband enjoyed it. The chicken salad sandwich was disappointing. The chicken salad was mostly sauce, way too much. You couldn't even taste the chicken. The apple slices were mealy and the arugula was old and wilted. The foccacia bread it was on was good but overall it wasn't good.“

“BBE. Best Birthday Ever. Friends took me to 1550's for beer and wings for my birthday. I love chicken wings and the selection here is awesome and delicious.
