May I start by saying that I had the best egg&cheese muffin paired with an even amazing Americano ☕️ - kudos to the connoisseurs behind the scenes!
On a different note, I am saddened and slightly annoyed at some of the tone-deaf and negative reviews about this location. My work experience in the service and quality assurance industry has made me resilient to subjective behaviour, but this one takes the medal 🏅 The over-sheltered and pampered individuals who disliked the service, taste and temperature of their cafeteria food not being able to meet their inflated standards, could have easily communicated eloquently and asked for a little more to make their experience better - a simple smile, a different food item or correction to the order may have been more helpful; kindness will only come back as kindness.
Finally, the purpose of Google reviews is to help the public make educated and friendly choices and not to be subjected to an individual's frustrations. Peace ✌️ and Praise 🙏“

“We celebrated our 10th anniversary on January 25 at Coast Restaurant during the Dine Out Festival 2026, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. As expected from the Glowbal Restaurant Group, the service was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress made the evening even more special—she happened to be a fellow Swiftie! We ended up having such a lovely chat about how we millennials grew up listening to Taylor Swift, which added a fun and personal touch to our celebration. She truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. Not only did we receive a complimentary cake as a thoughtful gesture, but she also surprised me with a Swiftie friendship bracelet—such a sweet and unique detail that we’ll always remember. The food was amazing from start to finish. My husband had the New England Chowder for his appetizer, while I enjoyed the shrimp salad. For our mains, we both chose the surf n’ turf—our favorite—and it did not disappoint. We ended the night with a delicious sticky toffee pudding, along with the complimentary cake. “The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

“I had previously raised a complaint because my pizza wasn’t up to the mark, but I’m genuinely impressed with how well the management handled the situation. They called me personally, listened to my concern, and resolved the issue properly. They even offered me a free medium pizza as a gesture, which I really appreciated.
When I went to pick up the replacement pizza, the cashier was also very polite and treated me with great respect. They even apologized, and honestly, I felt a little bad because I realized my complaint may have put the employee in an uncomfortable situation. At the time of my original complaint, I was genuinely disappointed with the pizza, so I only wanted to make sure my concern was heard.

But this time, the pizza was 100% satisfying. The quality and toppings were much better, and I really appreciate the team for taking my feedback seriously and making things right.

Thank you to the management and the entire team for handling the situation professionally and going the extra mile to make a customer happy. Not every restaurant takes complaints this seriously, so I really appreciate the effort. This experience has definitely changed my impression, and I’ll be happy to order from here again. ❤🍕“

“We've been coming here during our bike rides, when we're super hungry. The sandwiches are huge (easily could be shared by 2 people) and pricing is fair.

The staff are friendly and efficient at pumping out the food. Even when we have a lage group (+10 people) the wait isn't long before everyone gets their food.

The crispy chicken parmigiana sandwich is always a hit. The chicken was crispy and not dry. Add in some marinara sauce and melted cheese? And you have a winning combo.

The beef dip with caramelized onions and truffle mustard was also amazing. Throw in the dipping sauce and you have another classic.

We always look forward to coming here during our bike rides. I can see why it is a fan favorite with the locals.“

I arrived about 20 minutes before closing, and even though they were getting ready to close, Sakshi was incredibly kind and never made me feel rushed. But we are more than pleased to say we have returned and couldn't be happier to have done so, this time bringing with us my girlfriends parents. The food was just as good as we remembered, possibly even better as it is not an over exaggeration that if you did not know what was infront of you was vegan, you likely wouldn't guess. “Trust the reviews! First time here and coffee was great. Pretty picky (pallet is my favourite) about coffee, got an iced latte and it was strong with my preferred notes! Coffee is chocolate notes instead of acidic fruit or floral. Only gripe is they dont have many dairy options (skim, 2%) BUT its a small cafe so I get it and they have plethora of milk alternatives. Latte is higher than average but again, small business :)“
