“My absolute go-to coffee shop in town. The staff are always super smiley, friendly, and happy to tailor your drink exactly how you want it.
As a tea person, this spot is hands-down my favourite for a proper London Fog—paired with a fresh ham & cheese croissant or one of their juicy, house-made loaves after a Saturday run along the seawall. Pure bliss.
Special shout-out to their double-shot flat white: it’s on another level compared to the big chains. You’ve honestly resurrected my faith that a tasty, perfectly-tempered (not mouth-burning!) coffee actually exists.“

May I start by saying that I had the best egg&cheese muffin paired with an even amazing Americano ☕️ - kudos to the connoisseurs behind the scenes!
On a different note, I am saddened and slightly annoyed at some of the tone-deaf and negative reviews about this location. My work experience in the service and quality assurance industry has made me resilient to subjective behaviour, but this one takes the medal 🏅 The over-sheltered and pampered individuals who disliked the service, taste and temperature of their cafeteria food not being able to meet their inflated standards, could have easily communicated eloquently and asked for a little more to make their experience better - a simple smile, a different food item or correction to the order may have been more helpful; kindness will only come back as kindness.
Finally, the purpose of Google reviews is to help the public make educated and friendly choices and not to be subjected to an individual's frustrations. Peace ✌️ and Praise 🙏“

He was incredibly attentive throughout the entire evening and possessed a deep knowledge of the menu, explaining the dishes with great detail. What impressed us the most was his impeccable pacing; he managed to attend to every single table with absolute precision, without ever making anyone feel rushed. “The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.“

As expected from the Glowbal Restaurant Group, the service was absolutely top-notch. Our waitress made the evening even more special—she happened to be a fellow Swiftie! We ended up having such a lovely chat about how we millennials grew up listening to Taylor Swift, which added a fun and personal touch to our celebration. She truly went above and beyond to make our anniversary memorable. I arrived about 20 minutes before closing, and even though they were getting ready to close, Sakshi was incredibly kind and never made me feel rushed. She happily took my order, customized my pizza exactly the way I wanted, and provided excellent customer service with a smile.

“Chau Cafe has been a popular vegetarian spot in my neighbourhood for years, and I can't believe I forgot about it. I hadn't been back in a long time, so I decided to stop by yesterday.

The first thing I noticed was how clean and organized the restaurant is. They have a self-serve station stocked with water, utensils, napkins, and takeout containers. This is such a thoughtful touch and makes it so convenient.

Yesterday, I ordered the Namaste Fresh Rolls, and they were absolutely incredible. There were fresh, and the peanut sauce was perfect. Honestly, I could have eaten several of them! I also had the Rickshaw Bowl, which was packed with flavour. To drink, I tried their signature coconut shake, and as someone who's a sucker for anything coconut, it did not disappoint. Before leaving, I also picked up a pint of their Vietnamese Coffee ice cream (still in my freezer)! If you're a peanut butter lover, you have to get their dark chocolate peanut butter. It was amazing!

I enjoyed yesterday so much that I came back today for dinner. This time I ordered their famous Golden Temple Soup with noodles and organic tofu, along with the Sunrise Fresh Rolls. The soup lived up to the hype. The curry broth was rich, comforting, and full of flavour. The noodles had the perfect texture and the organic tofu was excellent. And once again, their fresh rolls were fantastic!

Before I left, I had the chance to chat with the owner, who was incredibly kind and friendly. She shared a little about the business, and it was clear how much care and passion goes into the restaurant. I genuinely wish them continued success.“

Last year I found myself unsure of where to take my girlfriend for our first real dinner date due to her dietary restrictions and tentatively made our way for this Vegan restaurant that both I and her had raised a brow about (For more on that review seek out Raven Bramblepaw on Google reviews to see!) But we are more than pleased to say we have returned and couldn't be happier to have done so, this time bringing with us my girlfriends parents. The food was just as good as we remembered, possibly even better as it is not an over exaggeration that if you did not know what was infront of you was vegan, you likely wouldn't guess. This restaurant will continue to be a staple for my relationship with my girlfriend Fox, and we will continue to come back every year if we should be so lucky. “Two of the last three times I’ve ordered my usual x-large double cheese/double pepperoni pizza I received a half cheese/half pepperoni pizza. Both times I took the latter pizza because I didn’t want to wait for another to be made.
I’m giving a 5 star rating because the staff is always pleasant and the problem was due to lack of English and lack of training.
You guys make good pizza but your new staff doesn't know the difference between “double” and “half.”
Please train your staff more fully. Thanks.“

I enjoyed my lunch here, I'll bring a friend next time. They have pretty small glasses of beer on offer too which is a great idea if you want a beer but don't want much. I wish more places had this.“
