50 Best Korean Restaurants near West Vancouver

“I come to this restaurant quite often because it’s one of my absolute favorites in West Vancouver. I usually go for the K-chicken, tteokbokki, seafood pancake—honestly, there are just so many dishes I love here!

Yesterday, I happened to be passing by and noticed a new promotion sign outside, so I decided to try their new lunch box as takeout and brought it to the beach. Oh wow—it was amazing! Generous portions, delicious flavors, and a really reasonable price.

I actually stopped by again today to try the cold noodles, (the server yesterday strongly recommended this) and they were super refreshing. The balance with the kimchi was perfect—I love kimchi, so I really enjoyed it.

The service here is always wonderful, and I appreciate the great music too. Sometimes I feel a bit sad that it doesn’t look super busy, but I truly hope this place continues serving the West Van community—people like me who really appreciate it.

“I came here because it's said to be the hottest Korean restaurant in Vancouver, and it truly is a clean, delicious, and friendly place. Everything on the menu is tasty! I'm a naengmyeon (cold noodle) enthusiast, so I even come here in the winter, and it's definitely the best in Vancouver! The galbi (grilled ribs) was also incredibly tender and delicious. You can't go wrong with anything you order at this restaurant!“

“I ordered their Fried Chicken Slider which was excellent. It was flavourful and juicy on the inside. I was underwhelmed by their toast though. The bread tasted like it was well buttered and the sandwich itself was flavorful. I just wasn't blown away because it's something I can easily recreate at home. It's still a good sandwich though.“

“One of the best and unique hot dogs I’ve ever had! Got the vegetarian kimchi with marble cheese… and the Seoul chicken dog… SO DELICIOUS!! And the service was great, she was really nice and helped me choose the best options :)

“I recently ordered Ja Jyang Myun on doordash from this restaurant after hearing about the dish from a friend.

I’ve never had Ja Jyang Myun before, and i really enjoyed it !!! Although I don’t have much to compare it to, i thought the black bean sauce was awesome and the portion they give you is massive. also a very generous side portion of rice which came steaming hot.

We got the Half and Half of Soy Garlic and Buldak (spicy)... whoooaaa. those were so good!

All the kids grabbed the food before I could take a picture lol.

“This is by far my favorite food truck but I go out of my way to come to its location during work hours and it's rarely ever there! Unfortunately my lunch break is not earlier in your hours so I generally get there around 1:15 or 1:20 and by that point you either were never there at all or you've left early. “We went in for family dinner. The restaurant is under new management since the beginning of September. Tteokbokki and corn cheese were a match made in heaven. Regular chicken was delicious and crispy, and yangnyeom chicken was just right for us. (not too spicy) Each table were equipped with ordering tablet which were self explanatory. Definitely will visit again.“

“This is my first review since I came to Vancouver for a few months.
I miss Korean food, so I've been to a lot of Korean restaurants, but this is my favorite restaurant ?
Service and taste are everything!
At first, I went to drink soju with a friend.
For snacks, I ordered tofu cheese salad, pork cutlet, and grilled pollack roe.
But everything was so delicious and the owner was friendly, so I went for drinks a few times after that.
Whenever I want to eat Korean food, I order takeout or delivery, and I was impressed after eating "Kimchi Jjigae" ??
It was much more delicious than the kimchi stew I had in Korea. The depth of the soup was different.. The quality of the meat was also good.
I'm sad that I'm leaving Vancouver soon.
If I had known about Lorimomo a little earlier, I would have gone more often.
I recommend all the menu items I've tried: kimchi stew, Namsan pork cutlet, kimchi oden udon, and tofu cheese salad??“

“We've done takeout a number of times and we have been extremely happy with all our orders. Our usuals are salmon sashimi, chopped scallop roll, dynamite roll, and salmon maki. Sashimi is always fresh, firm, and tender (never those tough scrap pieces). Rice is really good and never mushy nor dry.

While disappointed that we were not able to enjoy the food from that restaurant, especially with two hungry one-year-old who were at dinner time ?,we were hoping to order takeout from this restaurant and eat next door at Chicko Chicken (nobody was dining in at that moment). Angela graciously allowed us to come in and stay so we don’t have to stand outside in the cold winter night and figure out the alternatives. We ordered the take out, and some delicious chicken from Chicko Chicken. It was a memorable night!! Everyone in our group wants to express their sincere appreciation for Angela solving our awkward situation. “I have been supporting them for 10 years since I first came to Canada.

Price has always been Good and it comes with good food. I have tried all Korean restaurants in downtown and Lougheed, good food like Sura and Todam are way too expensive and small portion. Other restaurants tasteless and cheaper. Then Ofc Chosun is the best option here.

On top of that, their servers are very cute and friendly. The boys are very nice, girls are attentive. Compared to others like Zabu Chicken which had the most unfriendly service.

I love their Lunch Menu. Such a good deal and I ordered on Uber Eats all the time.
Never order the downtown location as its more expensive and smaller size lol.“

“This has become my go to spot for KFC whenever I am in Vancouver. Right on Robson, steps from BC place, they have a great selection of Korean fried chicken and also a variety of other Korean dishes. I’ve tried their KFC a number of times with different flavours, and the bi bim bap was really tasty too.

“I always have a good experience with Chung Chun. Sometimes if the line is long there is a bit of a lengthy wait time but it's well worth the wait because the hot dogs never disappoint!

I highly recommend the half mozzarella flavor and my favorite sauces are sweet mayo and spicy mayo. Don't forget to add the honey butter powder too!“

“I came to Vancouver with family as a visitor on spring break, and one thing I really wanted to do was have sushi in this city. We decided to try out Sushi Howe, as it was walking distance from my hotel. We were not disappointed! This place is located beside the Tim Hortons on Davie St, so you can’t miss it.

As an appetizer, we ordered assorted tempura and sashimi.

As a meal, I ordered 8 dragon rolls for ~$16, and I could tell the ingredients were high quality. My dad got a bento box. It included 8 pieces of sushi, teriyaki beef, 2 spring rolls, a few pieces of tempura and salad, all for $16. Every bite of it was splendid. Even the salad dressing was amazing! My mom ordered two platters of spring rolls (about 12 in total). Again, it was amazing. I liked having some, and I’m not even big on spring rolls! We got one more plate of beef teriyaki as well.

The restaurant has a beautiful, cozy atmosphere. The staff are amazing people, and we felt at home the second we walked in.

In total, we spent $82 (Including taxes) and gave a 20% tip. I think we spent less than we would have if we ate at McDonald’s or Edo. The value we got for our buck is amazing, especially considering this place is in downtown Vancouver. We came home with 3 takeout plates, that’s how much food we had!

Don’t go to Edo, go to Sushi Howe!
