“This location is one of my favourite ones yet!! Everytime the owners see me walking up they automatically wave and know my order by heart. Me and my husband love the service the food and also the kindness of the owners. Thank you so much for everything you guys always do for us!! My favourite yellow curry chicken with extra extra extra hot chillies ;) thank you for your services!! The portions are massive and i can eat it for two leftovers!! We love the food and services hands down!!!“
“I have been coming here for years now and the vegetarian options are amazing. While no doubt there Vegan missio rekka ramen is bomb the wait time can be north of 30 to 45 min which can be tiring but the ramen is worth it.They only accept cards no cash heads up. Also if you live in Vancouver get their stamp card worth it.“
“This was our first visit to the restaurant. It was a bit chilly, so didn't venture out to the patio so can't comment on that. Inside it was cozy, but the layout was a bit awkwardThe food has very good. We were especially impressed by the Mustard Fish Curry. We did make a mistake, however, in ordering our mo-mo's fried. Next time we'll have the steamed, which seem the best bet by all accounts. Our server was charming and polite. A fellow diner had experience trekking in Nepal and enjoyed a friendly interchange. We look forward to another visit soon.Parking: Davie on a Saturday night is crowded, but the adjacent parking lot had space. It turned out to be crazy expensive but a spot on the street on the next block was cheap - saved $20 or so!“
“Loved our meal here! The noodles tasted very fresh, and we did indeed see the noodle dough being worked through the viewing window. He is just like the logo! Staff were kind and attentive. Good amount of food for the price. And so delicious!“
“Indulge your taste buds with the great food here. The food is tasty, authentic and service is top notch. From Pasta, burgers to momos, chhoela and butter chicken to Biryani, you are covered for all your cravings. Must try, you won’t be disappointed.“
“The food here is delicious! Owner and his crew are very friendly and took his time to help me how could I add a review. I made a mistake by myself because I found the bowl not big as I expected but the owner explained that if I paid $1 more I could get as much as I wanted . I had the Braised Beef Noodles and the beef was so fresh and it was delicious! The noodles were cooked to perfection and the broth was flavourful and savoury. Each table doesn’t have the pack of chilly oil, vinegar and soy sauce even though I recommend this restaurant to everyone like asian foods.“
“Finally, I had a chance to stop into Fat Mao and they didn't disappoint. Was also glad i beat in the lunch rush.Ordered the roti and spicy boat noodles. I was happy that the roti wasn't oily, it was nicely cooked & crispy. The spicy boat noodles were flavourful and definitely a good serving size. Can't wait to go back.“
“I had heard about this place but hadn't had the opportunity to visit it until this Sunday. It offers some of the best ramen in Vancouver and is an excellent choice if you're looking for a delightful meal. Unfortunately, the space is small, and you may have to wait in line, but trust me, it's worth it! Also, thanks for your excellent customer service!“
“This place is definitely a gem. Have been meaning to try this place for a while, but OMG! It's not a fancy place, but food is outstanding. Prices were very reasonable. Service was great ?! Entire Japanese staff, so it's quite authentic. Parking was easy, there was parking right up front. I would definitely go back to try other stuff.“
“We've been wanting to check this joint out and it was most satisfying! Food court atmosphere, very clean & quiet. My husband and I even shared the crispy pork belly lunch box and we were both very full with the delicious food. Can't wait to try the other specialties!Vegetarian options: Eggplant omelette is very tasty!“
“Appetizer appreciation post! I came to try a few appetizers, ordered more than I should, and can't wait to go back again! Service was perfect! Super friendly and very quick! Prices seem high for veggies but this is the age we live in! Located in the heart of the west end, finally a place that appeals to the crowds! I got the Veggie Spring roll (Carrot, taro, mushroom, vermicelli, tofu, bean) and this is something you all need to try. Perfectly crispy, flavoured with the fresh veg, and the sauce works so well! Then the Spicy Crispy Cauliflower (Cauliflower, peanut, sesame sauce with housemade Korean spicy sauce). I would pass in this. The cauliflower was huge but the batter didn't stick well and the sauce was mid. You must get the Lemongrass Crispy Tofu (Garlic, chili, tofu, soybean floss, lemongrass). They were so flavourful and the perfect amount of garlic and chilli. I don't recall what the soybean floss was, but whatever it was, this dish was delish! Lastly I got the Wok Fried Brussel Sprouts (Wok fried brussel sprouts with housemade sauce). The sauce caramelized in the perfectly cooked Brussels. Kind of sweet, kind of salty. Very melt in your mouth! I cannot stress how happy I am this place is here and I look forward to going back!“
“An elevated and unique Asian restaurant in the area that is clean and a little away from the traffic on Granville. My chicken was delicious and fell off the bone, the curry broth was flavourful as well. The iced tea was also good but nothing out of the ordinary.“
“I began eating at Healthy Noodle House when it first opened in 2007, and it is one of my favourite restaurants in Vancouver. The the soup is hot, ingredients are fresh, and the flavours are excellent. (The hot sauce is has a great aroma and is not very spicy! I highly recommend adding it to the broth.) Colin loves his business, and he consistently provided friendly service. If you want a hearty and delicious meal with good value, then go to Healthy Noodle House.“
“Best Thai food in the town!I’ve been trying different Thai restaurants and this is the best.Really flavorful tamarind Pad Thai!!!! Some restaurants don’t use tamarind sauce but tomato sauce instead. This Pad Thai is the best one I’ve tried so far and they can do really spicy too ( more than Thai spicy ).Not only Pad Thai but other dishes are good too, such as Khao Soi chicken, pad see ew, curries and soup. The chef is from Thailand and has decades of experience. She said customers are like her kids and she enjoys making delicious food for us and seeing us eating happily!Highly recommend!!!!!!Parking: Underground parking“
“After get off work on Saturday, I searched for beef noodles on Google Map. I saw that this restaurant is available in down town and the West District. The price is not very expensive. The place looked good in the photo, so I drove over to try it. I originally wanted to order tomato beef noodles, but then I saw herbal beef brisket noodles and changed my mind. If it's not too heavy, it tastes good, but it's a bit greasy to eat alone. The medicinal food lingers in my mouth after eating. Maybe it's because I've been a little dry recently.Next time I come, I will definitely try the braised beef noodles or tomato beef noodles, they should be very good. There is always some good music playing here, and the decoration has a nice atmosphere and is very comfortable. I arrived at around six o'clock, and there weren't many customers on a Saturday night. I wonder if it would be more popular if it was later?“
“Always love to go for fish or squid cake noodle with lots of herbs and now price is abit high than before ($17+ per bowl) and the big plate of chicken wings is yum too.Vegetarian options: They have veggie soup if you want.Kid-friendliness: Spacious for scroller and comfy restaurant“
“Best ramen we’ve had outside of Japan!! The line out the door is justified, so try come at an off peak time.My broth was rich, fragrant, flavourful and so delicious with the cha shu pork. I chose the thinner style noodles and they were also cooked to a perfect consistency. My husband got the dipping style ramen noodle, which he enjoyed so much. Noodles were bouncy and sauce was very flavourful, can tell it was cooked for a long time. Both noodle bowls were very generous servings for very reasonable prices.Food came out really fast and service was attentive. If I come back to Vancouver this is top of my list to return to“
“I love this location, as it's a centrally located in the heart of Vancouver's bustling Chinatown. The staff are super efficiently, friendly, and they seated us right away. We've had lots of Taiwanese food through mutual friends, but we love the flavours this restaurant serves up. For a quick snack, we shared the beef noodle soup with a side of brisket + pan fried beef wraps. The broth for the soup is amazing, and the meat is super tender. The beef wraps are an incredible ratio of savoury to sweet. Definitely left us wanting more, but we had dinner plans so didn't want to put us over the edge. Will def come back with friends, as we really enjoyed it. They have a pretty diverse menu for both vegetarians and meat lovers and seafood lovers.“
“We have ordered from here several times and have always been happy with the quality and service. We placed a large order for a work event tonight and were once again thoroughly impressed. The fish is fresh, prices are reasonable and the food is reliably good. We will be back again and again!“
“Came for the first time on St. Patrick’s Day. I ordered ramen and requested to remove veggies. I tried Yokohama Iekei Ramen & Karaage on my first time here. I ended up eating karaage without dipping the tartar sauce because it was better without any sauce.“
“Came here from the amazingly high google reviews and this place did not disappoint. Had their Xiao Lun Bao and Beef noodle soup. On the corner of the kitchen there's a little old lady making the baos by hand. Each were amazingly done and food came super quick after ordering. It is cash only so be prepared. Really good authentic food. Will definitely return.Parking: Parking is horrible in the parking lot. I parked on School ave near safeway and there were ample free parking. No time limit.“
“Small restaurant with less than 10 tables. Came on a weekday late afternoon so it wasn’t busy. Ordered a couple of the clay pot rice and they came with soup of the day. The food came out piping hot. The rice was cooked well. The rice crust at the bottom of the pot had a nice crisp and absorbed the flavor of the sweet soy sauce. My favourite part of the meal. The soup was bland so I didn’t finish it. Each pot is made to order so expect to have a little bit of wait.“
“Today I want to eat some healthy food as my lunch. So I went to Salad House tried their Poke Bowl ( I think is one kind of salad bowl). The food was amazing, fresh and tasty, lots of choices. And these 2 owners very friendly, I love the smile on their face and the happiness feeling. Most amazing thing was I got the Poke Bowl for FREE! Yes FREE! Cause I made a right guess on the weight of my food, 310g exactly. It was a wonderful experience, I will remember it for a long long time. Thank you Salad House you made my day!“
“Ordered take out here for the first time. Easy to order over the phone. Pick-up was exactly what time they estimated. There was parking in the back where the entrance is accessible on the side of the building. Restaurant was full at 7:30. Patrons were very diverse. It's not fine dining inside but it looked very clean including the glance I had into the back. I ordered sweet and sour pork and beef fried rice noodle. The portion size was good (decently filled to fit the container). I frequently order these dishes at other restaurants and can say they were nicely done. I'd say the value is on par to other similar establishment if not slightly less expensive. The discount for pick-up was also nice. I think this might be my new go-to rather than trekking it to Fraser Street.“
“More like a 4.5 rating. Randomly discovered this place through social media. It operates in coho commissary kitchen so it is takeout and delivery only. I ordered through delivery app and was able to pick up my order at a reasonable time. Got the Deluxe Bowl with grilled prawns and striploin steak, Chicken Banh Mi and Spring Rolls. The bowl and banh mi were delicious with fresh ingredients and balanced flavors. 1/2 star deducted because of the spring rolls. They were a bit too salty to be eaten on its own. Taste better with the vermicelli. Portion size was ample and I got a good deal from Uber Eats. I would definitely go back especially for the banh mi!“
“This place has the feeling of a small family run restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and fast. Our family of 6 was served and fed in under 30 minutes . We did their family special dinner for 5 .The food was brought out immediately from the kitchen as soon as it was ready. It was great to have a steady flow of new dishes to try, and it allowed us to be a little early to our next appointment.Street parking was the only challenge.Parking: Street parking only.“
“Hong Phat is a great restaurant for South Vietnamese (Do not get it mixed up with North Vietnamese Pho as it is very different style) comfort food. I was introduced to this place by my girlfriend and we go there once in a while to enjoy their food. Had a chance to try their new menu today and they added a few new items on there. As always, it was a pleasant meal. The staff overall is very courteous and helpful when taking order and helping out. Highly recommended for lunch/brunch for a good price in the current economy! The Salted Caramel Coffee is a MUST HAVE for those who are coffee drinkers! It is a great combination of the South Vietnamese coffee robusta beans with a nice layer of salted foam on the top. Great balance of the coffee.“
“Great service and food. Hot tea was poured for us as soon as we entered which was really appreciated as it was raining a lot outside. The lady who served us was very friendly and helpful with going through the menu with us. We had the Dan Dan noodles and Cumin beef noodles along with the green onion pancake. Everything was delicious and arrived very quickly.“
“A must stop on the YVR food list. We have been here at least 6 times and never disappointed. Consistency one would expect, great service and Sherman’s Old Man playlist on Spotify kills it! Eat here and subscribe to his play list in that order.“
“Such delicious food. I am a total novice and the soya / pork broth one was fab. I ordered extra veg and gave my friend my meat. My friend has the spicy one - quite oily with little spice (and I am usually rubbish with spice). Kimchi was great too but made at the Korean place on robson and haro.“
“We had heard great things about this restaurant and decided to drop in for a bite. The bun bo hue dac biet and banh bot loc were delicious. All three of us ordered the bun bo hue. The toppings were generous. Soup was hot. Spiciness near perfect. The menu is small as the restaurant focuses on a few items. Next time we will order something different each. Definitely worth coming for the Bun Bo Hue!“
“Great food, well prepared and no corners cut.I'd been coming here weekly many years ago, and just had a chance to revisit. Its as good as I remembered, and definitely recommend you try it. The Vietnamese crepe is particularly brilliant.“
“It’s quite a small and cramped restaurant but it’s well worth it for the quality of service and the ramen that they serve. You might have to wait so be prepared to stand outside.I highly recommend their tsukemen ramen with cold noodles and karamiso soup. It’s a little bit spicy but rich with flavour and the noodles have the perfect texture. We also tried their miso tonkotsu ramen, which was also pretty great, but I wouldn’t say that it’s as good as the tsukemen.Their sides were pretty good, I recommend okonomi gyoza if you want something to complement the ramen.Overall, I highly recommend the this restaurant if you want to try one of the best tsukemen ramens in Vancouver!“
“Authentic flavors. Great spice on the spicy dishes. The noodles are made to order and the kitchen is small so can be a bit slow. Dishes are large and priced accordingly. If you like spice the 大盘菜 is great with thinly sliced pork belly. Would not recommend thE 韭菜盒子 minimal filling and slightly flaky dough just doesn't taste right to me.“
“I ordered a bowl of kidney noodles and Wenzhou meatball soup. Among other things, the kidney noodles taste quite authentic for a new Hangzhou native like me! The only drawback is that there are not enough service staff. I saw some customers waiting for a long time before ordering their food.“
“It’s been a minute since I’ve last eaten here in person. Thanks to an event at the PNE, I came back here again with a friend.Super casual and unpretentious ~ just how I like it!They never disappoint with their great staff, fresh delicious food and good portions.I ESPECIALLY wanted to say a MAJOR thanks for allowing me to substitute the vermicelli with bean sprouts instead! Super helpful for those needing to reduce the carbs. Thanks so much!Pictured is 49A - grilled chicken with spring roll & typically vermicelli(find me on Instagram via @aida.loves )“
“*Make sure you bring cash or debit*This is one of the top pho places I’ve visited in Vancouver. Sprouts and basil were very fresh which is usually a good sign. The spring rolls seemed handmade and were delicious, and so was the pho with rare beef I ordered. They have a few parking spots located in the back of the building.“
“We have been here at least 5-6 six times in the past two years, either just ourselves or with one or two guests (seem like max 4 pp per table....a small place but petitely decored and .....very popular. So on busy weekends, or even week nights, we always try to arrive before 6pm to get a table, or arrive after 1;30pm for a late lunch.....It's worth the wait though.....once you get your table, feel free to watch the chef behind the glass windows pulling authentic noodle from scratch.....especially a popular must for first timers.....There's a All Day daily special every day (but signs only at door I think). We had a Tuesday special and the beef noodle was marvellous, and the pan fried dumplings just to perfection (not overburnt/too dry as in some other placesWe also had All Time combo D (see combo photo): fried noodle with cumin lamb pieces + pork jelly + a free pop. You can change the combinations freely just tell the waitress.....we like the flexibility. The pork jelly (spicy) was our all time favorite...the fried noodle was also good but we preferred the signature beef noodle in soup. There are many more choices to choose from the full menu. (Previously we had chive cakes....yum yum.....big pan chicken....OMG reminiscent of our travels to Lanzhou, Dunhuang....Gobi Desert.....)Had another enjoyable dinner here again to satisfy our sudden craving for spicy food. Pls note Wednesday is their day off.“
“Extensive selection of Asian comfort food. Had the beef brisket and tendon with dumplings and noodles. It was reasonably priced around $11.25 and came with 3 hearty dumplings. However, on the meat side, there were more fatty pieces than I would have preferred. Nothing special but fair pricing all around. Service was friendly and the restaurant is cash only. Visited for a late night snack, but I imagine it's popular during lunch and dinner as well. Would give 3.5 stars but rounded up to 4.“
“My experience at Mui Ngo Gai was EXCEPTIONAL. From the moment I stepped in, I was greeted with warm hospitality and a vibrant atmosphere. The food here is simply divine, with a perfect fusion of Vietnamese and Singaporean flavors that left my taste buds dancing with joy. It's evident that they use only the freshest ingredients, some even imported from their original countries, which adds an authentic touch to every dish (the best quality of mango imported from a specific region in Vietnam which is famous for their mangoes and its name I can’t recall haha). The staff were incredibly polite and attentive, ensuring that every aspect of my dining experience was top-notch. I also had the pleasure of meeting Vy, the owner a genuinely sweet and kind person.Whether you're a food enthusiast or just looking for a memorable dining experience, this restaurant is an absolute must-visit. I’m so glad I discovered it and I can't wait to return for another culinary adventure!“
“I just had, to put it frankly, the most LIFE CHANGING, EYE OPENING, REVOLUTIONARY, sushi of my life. This enlightenment has allowed me to reach a nirvana of sushi. All parts of the restaurant were amazing, from the food to the service, to even the decor. As a native resident of the north shore area, this is by far the best sushi in this place. And to the people who rated this place one star, you truly have no taste and should try flavour for once.“
