“I was pleased with my visit to Thaigo in the Park Royal shopping center. I ordered tom yam, it was light, not spicy, lots of vegetables and shrimp. I needed a little heat and some coconut milk or cream. But overall the soup was good.

I also liked that this place has an open kitchen and it doesn’t look like fast food at all. The soup was prepared right in front of me. The kitchen is clean and the cook seemed very neat.“

“Probably the best Dan Dan Noodles I’ve eaten in Vancouver! The beef roll was also excellent, crispy and full of flavour. Only reason this isn’t a 5-Star review is due to the strange charges. 5 cents for take-out containers, 5 cents to use a Mastercard? Not the craziest thing, just odd. Seems unnecessary. Otherwise, I will happily be going back to try everything else their menu offers.“

“It took me many years to give this place a try. Call it beef noodle fatigue, so many places were opening up around the same time. But this one out lived them all.

Beef noodles were great. Fresh made noodles were very chewy. Soup was just right. Same goes for the wontons.

Service was good. People were sweet.

Atmosphere. Not the most comfy seating. They opted for bench seats for the vibes. But the decor was nice. The lighting was bright warm and too in your face.“

“Maruhachi Ra-men has great ramen. There are many options to choose from. The chicken-based ramen is very flavorful.
Despite the amount of reviews, they didn’t seem to have too many customers at the time I went there (1:30 pm)
The service is excellent. Staff provided baskets for coats and bags.
I recommend parking in Safeway to avoid having to find parking on the street.“

“This is some really good ramen. I wanted to give it 4 stars for the lack of variety and toppings but it was just so good you really do not need anything else. Spicy level wasn’t spicy, i got it extra hot and spicy but I’d give it a 6.5-7/10 spice level.“

“Absolutely love this place. One of my go to spots! We had the Spicy Boat Noodles and the Hot and Sour Pork Noodles and they were both amazing. I think my favourite was the Hot and Sour one tho because it has a tanginess that’s just so unique and refreshing. I can’t recommend this place enough. It does have limited seating and it gets quite busy so just be prepared.“

“Great Vietnamese food with generous portions. We ordered stir-fry noodles and combo dishes, and everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The chicken was tender and plentiful, and the prices were very reasonable for the portion sizes. Food came out quickly and tasted authentic. Highly recommended — we’ll definitely be back!“

“Incredible! Stopped here on a whim when visiting the area shortly before they closed for the night. I ordered the Ma Po Tofu with veggies and it was absolutely incredible. I would say this restaurant is easily a “hole in the wall” blink and miss it type of place but DO NOT MISS it! Easily in my top 3 noodle spots in the PNW. They make their noodles in house which I watched while waiting for my order, it doesn’t get better than that!! They packed the bowl full, excellent amount of food for the cost. I loved it and can’t wait to go back.“

“Hidden in the back of the most hidden mall in Vancouver (City Square). Don’t miss out like I did before I noticed it! The salad and juices are delicious, and the owners are super nice. They’re running a fun game where you get your salad free if you can guess the weight. They’re also do protein smoothies so I’ll be stopping here instead of the body builder store from now on.“

“Had an amazing time coming to Motonobu! The food has always been delicious, one of the better spots to bring people out of town to eat! Been here multiple times and every visit has been pleasent! “Wow! What a surprise! My girlfriend and I wondered over to this place after a massage, I was unsure at first due to the location. Once we ordered are food, I could tell the quality was top notch. This place is a hidden gem. I ordered the lemongrass chicken pho and my girlfriend got the beef stew. Who ever is in that kitchen is a true chef. This is the best pho I have ever had. The chicken came on the side and it was amazing. The beef pulled apart with the fork. Spices were rich and a perfect blend. Veggies were fresh, meat was top quality. Don’t miss out, get in there! I wish we weren’t in a rush. Pricing is perfect for the portion you get.“

“Prepare to be transported to Thailand! The owners are incredibly kind are welcoming, and bring the underrepresented Central Thai flavors to Vancouver. Pad Thai, Green Curry, Larb moo, pineapple fried rice, and roti were all prepared with generous portions of fresh ingredients and full flavored spices. Go for the fresh coconut to cool down. “Wow did not expect to be this impressed with order out pho. The broth is fantastic, deep rich flavor with noticable star anise and smokey flavor from dry frying the spices. They do it right here this is legit pho . The Cha Gio is also one of the best I've had.“

“My Vietnamese friends told me this is a rare soup and hard to find. The fish cakes were very good and I’m glad they sliced them thin. I don’t know how I feel about dill in Vietnamese soup. The broth was a tad on the sweeter side but this is my first time trying it so I don’t know it’s authentically supposed to be the sweet. You can taste the fish/shrimp paste as a main flavor component.“

“Wo’s Chinese Restaurant serves authentic Chinese food with flavors that feel traditional and satisfying. The wonton bowl is generous with plenty of wontons, which is a plus, but the amount of soup is quite limited. It would be better if a bigger bowl were used to accommodate more soup, or if wonton soup refills were offered when reasonably needed.

The restaurant could improve on cleanliness, as it doesn’t feel as well-maintained as expected. On the positive side, there is ample parking space available at the back, making it convenient for customers.

Overall, a good spot for authentic Chinese food, but some improvements in cleanliness and portion balance would greatly enhance the dining experience.“

“Another one of Vancouver’s culinary Chinese hotspots.
If you’re looking for some authentic Chinese cuisine, this is definitely the place to go.
The beef and tripe dish were excellently flavoured with a perfect blend of spices. A nice hint of Szechuan peppercorns gives this the authentic flavour and slight numbing of the tongue.
The fried rice was well flavoured and perfectly seasoned. A little bit disappointing with the frozen vegetables, but still a very good fried rice nonetheless.
I highly recommend this place and I am looking forward to trying more of their amazing dishes“

“PROS:Have really on tried the spicy beef noodle soup, bbq pork fried rice, duck fried rice, and spicy won tons. They all have been tasty or satisfactory. No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year.The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food.The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“

“I came here for the first time recently and I'm already wanting to come back. The food was everything I wanted from a Chinese comfort meal. Everything was clearly handmade and the flavours and textures were all delicious. The cut wok fried noodles with cumin lamb were a highlight. Our server was also really attentive, helpful, and friendly. The only critique I'd give is that I wish the pork and chive dumplings were bigger but I know some people who prefer small dumplings, so maybe that's personal preference haha.“
