“I was pleased with my visit to Thaigo in the Park Royal shopping center. I ordered tom yam, it was light, not spicy, lots of vegetables and shrimp. I needed a little heat and some coconut milk or cream. But overall the soup was good.
I also liked that this place has an open kitchen and it doesn’t look like fast food at all. The soup was prepared right in front of me. The kitchen is clean and the cook seemed very neat.“

“The food and drink was absolutely delicious when I went with my friend and partner. We ordered mango sticky rice, cauliflower wings and lychee/peach iced tea. On a hot summer day, it hit the spot so good. We also ordered some noodle dishes whuch were delicuous to devour on the go, though they were soupier than we thought. Our waitress was very kind, welcoming and accomodating, though also loud and people pleasing, which can come across as a bit much for some. Our group was fine with it though. We went in for a quick bite and got exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was beautiful and homey, separating us in a calmer bubble from the busy Vancouver streets.“

“Stopped by on a rainy day to warm up with some ramen for lunch. It was still early so many open seats and decided to sit by the window.
The service was prompt and friendly, adding to the experience. The ramen broth was rich and the noodles were a good firmness, they also had sauces on the side so that you could customize your bowl.
Overall it was a nice experience and would recommend to anyone looking for a ramen spot to stop by. If going during peak times I would recommend joining the waitlist or making a reservation.“

“Delicious noodles! Prompt service. Tom yum was the perfect level of sour and spicy. Got out with the thick noodles which had a really nice chew. I don’t usually love shrimp, but these were fresh as they had a nice bounce.
Only down part is that it’s really warm - perhaps not enough AC / fan. Air circulation not great, but otherwise the space is cozy and cute.“

“First time here for lunch and it was good. We were fortunate that we got a seat right away. Food came out within 5min and we were in and out in 30min. After we were done there was line up out the door abiut 5-6 ppl. $6 for 6 pieces of pork is worth it. I recommend to add extra noodles for $1 or $2! I was still hungry afterwards. Add the 3 gyozas and pop for $5 was ok too.
$48 plus tip is about right to have food food on Robson.“

“Delicious food! Chicken ramen is super rich and creamy, noodles is nice and aldente. I ran here after work and got here two minutes before closing, owner was super nice and was able to make me a bowl of ramen in 5 minutes! “It was quite good. Expected a little more flavor wise but all in all very good and the house made noodles were delicious. Be aware though about their restrictions when it comes to paying with CC or Amex. They’re quite upfront about it though, so it’s hard to miss.“

“We were trying to go to the PhoGoodness next door and bewilderingly they close at 8pm. So as we were famished we found a Vietnamese restaurant right next door. We were blown away how rich and authentic their food tasted. The salad rolls, spring rolls and banh mi were amazing. One criticism would be the combo portions were a bit small. I am intrigued by how good their food was and will be back to try their other pho!“

“The owner, Mehdi, created this salad house because he saw how eating good food contributes to good health. When people are healthy, they are happy and kind. He told me about people he lost from cancer and illness from unhealthy eating. When he opened this store, I saw how much love and care he put into the decorations, selections of ingredients, preparation of food and serving people. He always have a nice smile no matter what day he has. He wants to make the world a better place by getting people to eat yummy, fresh and happy things. And he like to play the game of you guessing the weight of your bowl for a chance to win a free salad.“

“A sleeper hit as far as we're concerned. The epinymous noodles are very satisfying - authenticity not withstanding as we are unqualified to judge. Options for the spice-averse are limited, though the ye bin noodles are consistently crunchy and refreshing. We get them with fried egg and a side of blanched leafy greens.
Our only complaint is that the style and volume of the music is often giving karaoke club. There's just no good reason for me to have to raise my voice in a restaurant with only 1 or 2 other patrons present.
Way better to eat in than have delivered.“

“Stir fried ( Shanghai thick round noodles ) with BBQ Pork, fish, squid, shrimp. Very good ( very good Wok Hei ) intense wok flavour, follow by the pan fried pork dumplings ( no soup liquid inside ) as the steamed. C/C and cash payments are accepted.“

“I came here for the second time with my boyfriend, who is Vietnamese, so I knew I was getting a more honest opinion than usual. I personally don’t always connect easily with Asian food because the flavours are sometimes very different from what I’m used to, but this place honestly surprised me in a good way.
We ordered grilled meat dishes with rice, salad, dipping sauce, and soup on the side. The food looked simple at first, but the flavour was really satisfying. The grilled chicken was juicy, well seasoned, and had a nice smoky char without being too dry or heavy. The rice was fresh, the vegetables made the plate feel lighter, and the sauce added a sweet and savoury balance that worked really well with the meat.
What I liked most was that the food felt homemade and comforting, not overly complicated.“

“The broth is perfect! I feel the taste absolutely the same as one I had in Japan! At first the portion seems a bit small compared to Canadian size but it turns out enough for your tummy. The dine-in area is not spacious so my recommendation is avoid the peak hours.“

“Tried the beef siu mai and the preserved mustard greens pork noodle soup:both were delicious! The beef siu mai was flavorful and juicy, and the noodles were comforting and well-seasoned. Service was friendly and attentive as well. Overall a great dining experience, and I would definitely come back.“

“My husband and I came here for a late night dinner after 9pm. The restaurant obviously had less customers. I had a “深夜食堂” feel (a late night canteen. I felt it was still lively and warm to customers who could eat late night dinner or snacks.
We ordered their signature beef noodles and one with intestines. Both were good. The noodles were freshly made by the chef in the kitchen. We could see the chef who pulled the noodles was a lady. She had strong arms and great energy pulling the noodles and making them fresh for customers. That’s was awesome 👏🏼. Usually we see a male chef to do that.
The broth of the signature beef noodles was light but I could add their special vinegar or spicy oil to get to the level of spicy I wanted.
There is free street parking in the neighborhood. Service was great. We would like to go back and try other dishes especially that we can choose the thickness or width of the noodles. That’s the most interesting part 👍✌🏼“

“Walk in and order walk out happier. Why do I wait so long between visits!? This place is awesome! The Banh Mi buns are always fresh and rewarded upon order. With a slight crusty crunch with morsels of tender yumminess on the inside!
I order the Roasted Pork Belly and my “partner in crime” ordered Lemongrass Chicken, both of which were exquisite!
Service is efficient to keep the line moving, but with a few chairs inside and a bench outside there still a chance to savour the flavour-flavour (and if there’s leftovers maybe some for later).“

“Prepare to be transported to Thailand! The owners are incredibly kind are welcoming, and bring the underrepresented Central Thai flavors to Vancouver. Pad Thai, Green Curry, Larb moo, pineapple fried rice, and roti were all prepared with generous portions of fresh ingredients and full flavored spices. Go for the fresh coconut to cool down. Plenty of free parking off of main street. Highly recommended.“

“A good spot if you love udon. Motonobu Udon, located at 3501 E. Hastings Street in Vancouver, does not have a traditional Michelin star, but it is an esteemed Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurant. This award highlights eateries that serve high-quality food at an approachable price.
Our waitress recommended to try with beef, brisket, and I also noticed a lot of pictures in the reviews regarding their Inari sushi. 🍣
My mother and I both tried the NikuToji hot, so they’re standard udon with beef brisket, and something they described as an egg swirl, which was a generous portion of egg swirl within the broth. The brisket was very tender, and there were three slabs. The broth was flavourful as well. And if you really enjoy udon, you will like it, I wish there was a little bit more meat that had come with the dish.
My daughter has an allergy to eggs, and they were accommodating. She had the plain udon and added beef brisket. It was also good.
For the Inari Sushi we tried the shiitake and also the Salmon. The inari itself is quite juicy and flavorful.
Our server was very nice.
A good spot I don’t know if I would go out of my way to eat here, but that’s partially because I’m not the biggest udon fan either. If you prefer udon over Ramen or Pho or Big Wah pot - then this is probably your spot.“

“Edit: 6 years ago their bun bo hue was one of the best in the city. I just tried it again and now it is just average. All the chopped spices are gone and the broth taste bland. I have to change my rating from 5/5 to 3.5/5
I love their bun bo hue. It's the best bun bo hue I've had in Vancouver. The broth is full of finely chopped herbs and spices floating on top that I don't see in most other Vietnamese restaurants. Their pho with lemongrass grilled chicken is delicious as well. Their grilled beef skewer is amazing and I love that you can order a single skewer as a side instead of a full dish. Lastly, this is kind of a silly thing to say but they make beautiful and perfect sunny side up eggs.“

“I love neighbourhood restaurants as usually they aren’t too noisy. The vibe in here was nice and the service was excellent. Food was good but for the price it didn’t quite match the value. I’m glad that I checked this place out but it wouldn’t be a regular place I go too.“

“Light light light! Had the Bun Rieu and Bun Cha Ca Dac Biet. Both were very light. The Bun Cha was very dilly which made for a very different flavour than the go to bite flavours. Pretty unique. The Bun Rieu was good. Very light compared to the bun Rieu I’m used to. Solid. The crab meat were more shredded than in meatballs. I prefer the meatball form.
Overall a nice experience. If you prefer a lighter broth then come here. Service was good. It was very busy when we went.“

“This is a hidden gem on Fraser St that my mom’s friend recommended. I like that the food isn’t too oily or salty which is common in many restaurants. I recommend the beef rolls. A tip: unless you like sweet hoisin sauce, request to have it removed from the rolls or to reduce the sauce as there’s a lot of it inside. I also liked the soup noodles with lamb and vegetables. It is refreshing although it may be mild in taste but that is what I prefer. I did wish they put more cabbage and vegetables in it.
The menu has a wide variety of mostly northern Chinese dishes. Don’t expect much decor here as the menu prices reflect that.
Also, remember to have a debit card or cash with you. They don’t accept credit card.“

I’ve been coming here for what feels like 20 years(?) lol!
I love this location. It just feels cozier.
The servers are nice, especially if you flash them a smile.
All of their dishes are super solid and come in good portions sizes. The food comes out fast and piping hot.
Pricing is reasonable and the authentic flavour can’t be beat.“

“I was thoroughly impressed with the pho broth, it has been awhile since I’ve had such authentic flavour. The portion is very generous and having pickled spicy garlic was just an extra special experience. The staff were good, what was quite endearing was one young man saw me packaging my own takeaway and offered to put Saran Wrap to make sure it didn’t leak. I was initially drawn to this restaurant as they offered a new menu with clam congee and pate sticky rice - while advertised outside, it wasn’t shown inside. Plenty of seating in front with also a backroom, clean, friendly staff, complimentary iced tea, and easily can pay via card. (Noticed menu varies from other franchises but I guess that is what makes each location unique)“

“PROS:Have really on tried the spicy beef noodle soup, bbq pork fried rice, duck fried rice, and spicy won tons. They all have been tasty or satisfactory. No complaints in the taste department from me.CONS:I used to eat here twice a week at least when they had the 10% off when ordering online, but since the removal, I have eaten there a few times since last year. The price is similar to restaurant food, so a bit expensive considering it is food court food. Maybe this is due to the addition of the "free" drink. Maybe it is now due to the cost of food. The "free" drink included with some of the items should be removed. One reason is because of the cup fee in Vancouver. The other is that I don't care much for the drinks. Choice would be nice and hopefully will reduce the price of the meal and reduce unnecessary waste.“

“I ordered the Mega Tray A and salmon sashimi. Two adults and three kids ate until we were completely full.
The reason I love this place is that the taste is always consistent and the ingredients are always fresh. I haven’t tried every sushi restaurant in Vancouver, but in West Vancouver, I think Mega Sushi is the best.
The food tastes truly high-quality and suits my palate perfectly. I’ve never had a disappointing experience here. Even if you don’t live nearby, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal when you’re on your way to catch the Horseshoe Bay ferry!“
