“I ordered the Mega Tray A and salmon sashimi. Two adults and three kids ate until we were completely full.

The reason I love this place is that the taste is always consistent and the ingredients are always fresh. I haven’t tried every sushi restaurant in Vancouver, but in West Vancouver, I think Mega Sushi is the best.

The food tastes truly high-quality and suits my palate perfectly. I’ve never had a disappointing experience here. Even if you don’t live nearby, I highly recommend stopping by for a meal when you’re on your way to catch the Horseshoe Bay ferry!“

“I was pleased with my visit to Thaigo in the Park Royal shopping center. I ordered tom yam, it was light, not spicy, lots of vegetables and shrimp. I needed a little heat and some coconut milk or cream. But overall the soup was good.

I also liked that this place has an open kitchen and it doesn’t look like fast food at all. The soup was prepared right in front of me. The kitchen is clean and the cook seemed very neat.“

“The food and drink was absolutely delicious when I went with my friend and partner. We ordered mango sticky rice, cauliflower wings and lychee/peach iced tea. On a hot summer day, it hit the spot so good. We also ordered some noodle dishes whuch were delicuous to devour on the go, though they were soupier than we thought. Our waitress was very kind, welcoming and accomodating, though also loud and people pleasing, which can come across as a bit much for some. Our group was fine with it though. We went in for a quick bite and got exactly what we needed. The atmosphere was beautiful and homey, separating us in a calmer bubble from the busy Vancouver streets.“

Every one of his broths are sublime. I have tried the tonkatsu, chicken and the shoyu and they are all incredible. His black garlic coconut oil is delicious . it’s perfect. “Meaty and good for a bowl but I needed more noodles and I ordered then I ate them and ordered more and more the wait it is worth it to order extra noodles and make them all line up until you can’t eat another and then when they think you are done you say I need a minute to digest some of this noodle“

“I went there because there were ads outside saying they won best dish of the year. However, the taste was a little disappointing. I couldn't find the umami.

Their service was great; it was fast, and the waitress was so nice. For that reason, I'm giving 4 instead of 3.

“A sleeper hit as far as we're concerned. The epinymous noodles are very satisfying - authenticity not withstanding as we are unqualified to judge. Options for the spice-averse are limited, though the ye bin noodles are consistently crunchy and refreshing. We get them with fried egg and a side of blanched leafy greens.

Our only complaint is that the style and volume of the music is often giving karaoke club. There's just no good reason for me to have to raise my voice in a restaurant with only 1 or 2 other patrons present.

Way better to eat in than have delivered.“

“Pho Khanh Express absolutely delivered. The first thing that stood out was the broth—one of the cleanest, most flavorful broths I’ve had in a long time. It was crystal clear, rich without being heavy, and tasted like it had been simmering with care for hours. Every sip was comforting.

The lemongrass pork skewers instantly reminded me of home. They had that familiar Cambodian-style flavor—fragrant, slightly sweet, perfectly charred, and incredibly nostalgic. It brought back memories of family gatherings and backyard grilling.

The fresh spring rolls were crisp and refreshing, the peanut sauce was creamy with just the right amount of peanut crunch, and the herb plate was vibrant and fresh. Add a spoonful of their chili paste to the pho, and the whole bowl comes alive without overpowering that beautiful broth.

This is the kind of place that lets simple, well-executed cooking speak for itself. Fresh ingredients, comforting flavors, and a broth that deserves the spotlight.

“I originally planned to try the Ramen Danbo near Robson Street, but the line was quite long. Later, I happened to pass the Kitsilano location and was glad to find that there was no wait.

The restaurant is small, and the counter seats are fairly close together. I dined alone and sat facing a wall, which felt a little cramped, though there was enough room to eat comfortably. My ramen came to about $25 including tip, which I thought was reasonable. The flavour was fine, but it didn’t particularly stand out to me.

The standard ramen was quite simple, with three slices of pork and some green onions. I would recommend adding extra pork if you’d like a more filling bowl; toppings such as egg and seaweed also cost extra. There is only one small washroom, so there may be a wait, and I was surprised that it didn’t have a mirror. The anime music was also a little loud for my taste.

Overall, it was a decent meal, though I personally wouldn’t wait in a long line for it.“

I love their bun bo hue. It's the best bun bo hue I've had in Vancouver. The broth is full of finely chopped herbs and spices floating on top that I don't see in most other Vietnamese restaurants. Their pho with lemongrass grilled chicken is delicious as well. Their grilled beef skewer is amazing and I love that you can order a single skewer as a side instead of a full dish. Lastly, this is kind of a silly thing to say but they make beautiful and perfect sunny side up eggs.“
