“I always get the 12 pack for parties at my house and they’re a hit! Every flavor slaps. I would make sure to allocate time for pickups because there’s only one attendant and if you’re behind someone getting a lot of donuts, you need to be patient.“

“I got the Apple Fritter and custard filled bar. My friend got an assortment including some vegan doughnuts. The Apple Fritter was great but the filling in the bar had an aftertaste that I wasn’t a fan of and the chocolate topping started melting off faster than I expected. The maple glazed old fashioned was super yummy and I think that’s what I’ll get when I go back. The people who ate the vegan ones were very pleased that they had them and really enjoyed the flavors. They also have a great variety of drinks and coffee.“

“Ordered half a dozen and couple of chocolate donuts from them. I wish they would have been less sugary and slightly bit healthier but I don't think there is a lot of offers available.
Other than that,
Reasonably priced and quite tasty“

“Apple fritter size is huge and generous. It is nice.
I also bought matcha green tea latte, there is no “no sugar” option, but it is not too sweet, still taste nice to my liking :)
Price is affordable in SF“

“I go here for their croissants!!!! I'm a croissant lover. And as we know they aren't that cheap. Many places are charging you up to $5 for ONE croissant!. Well I went to try Lee's and I've haven't gone anywhere else whenever I'm in the mood for my carb treat. First their croissants are HUGE secondly, they're only $3.75! Depending on how you like you're croissants but this place for me are the best. They're not very flaky and a little doughy but I love that. As far a doughnuts I've only had their doughnut holes which were soft and fresh. And they were cheap for the dozen compared to all the other donut shops I've gone too! So if you want your money's worth I recommend coming here!“

“My boyfriend and I were checking out stiiizy, we were headed home and wanted some food. We stopped in because of the outside charm, the owners I believe might be husband and wife, anywho we got doughnuts, their lunch special of burger fries n a drink, plus a bacon egg n cheese bagel ( biggest bagels I have ever seen)
We don't live in El Cerrito, so it was nice to see something that has been around for almost 40 years. Bless you both, we will be stopping by again
Voted best doughnuts in El Cerrito I can see why.“

“Stopped for breakfast one morning; what a delight! Tasty filling on a scrumptious bagel. The sight of all the donuts and pastries had us vowing to return. Which we did, scoring a box of various donuts and pastries and the biggest croissants I’ve ever seen. Definitely worth a return visit.“

“Our family love Dynamo cafe. Previous owner made place cozy and friendly. Now there is a new owner and so far the taste of donuts hasn’t changed. About coffee, funnily enough it depends on the barista. It might be the same Vanilla Latte or (Lavander before), but some barista can make it a bit sweeter and the other less sweet. It’s a street level place so it’s easy to come in even for strollers or people on wheelchairs. They have a big variety of donuts, so everyone will find their favorite. My personal choice is classic vanilla donut with chocolate on top as well as vegan spice chocolate.
There is always a line, there is a good foot traffic so you can order from the window and take it to go or sit inside, or even on the quiet backyard. They are kids and dogs friendly!“

“This hole in the wall donut shop has the best apple fritters in the world according to my lady. I think their other donuts are great too. Make sure to bring cash and to lock your car. It is right off of the freeway. Getting back on the freeway can be confusing, but it isn't far.“

“Nice chill spot. Staff can be a bit impatient, but don't blame them(they are really nice), there are so many unique offerings that people have a tendency to stand there staring (not joking). So if they're staring at you waiting and others are staring at you, you should probably just ask them to make you a box. Hot chocolate is SERIOUSLY hot chocolately. Make sure you get a mug and enjoy your pastry.“

“Amazing donuts that are fresh and soft. Their Vietnamese coffee is also to die for, but the cherry on top is the amazing staff and service. Every-time I go I am greeted with warmth and hospitality that keeps me coming. I just moved in the neighborhood and am excited to be a regular!“
“Nice people working there and nice new owner. Only issue is they don’t always warm up your food, that’s alright tho. Glad they accept card now. I feel like they should add more desserts like different donuts or stuff like that you know more variety.“

“Needed to pick up a quick dessert after enjoying the most amazing pizza a few doors down at Outta Sight. Gateway drew us in with their stacks of pink donut boxes--an immediate sign that this is a legit donut place. Our go-tos: blueberry and crunch which were immediately recognizable in the glass case. The lady behind register was very friendly and before we could assume it was cash only, she brought the POS out for us to tap and go. Gotta love it when a humble mom & pop keeps up w/tech. One excited bite out of each donut and we knew that Gateway would be our fav shop in the city. These donuts are AMAZING. They're fresh but more interestingly, they're sweet without being sickening (think opposite spectrum of a Krispy Kreme). I'm sure there's some kind of sorcery involved behind the recipe, but whatever they're doing is incredible. Even the small detail like the blueberry colored dough inside the donut is testament to their special touch. By the way, 2 donuts only cost us $3.75! What a deal.“

“I am use to hometown family run bakery donuts. This is the place in Richmond. None of these frufru things. Great apple fritters..one feeds 2 grown men, great raised donuts and my favorites old fashion glazed cake donuts...glad I found you!“

“Best vegan donut in the Bay Area! I was introduced to Pepple's via their cake donuts at cafes like Philz, which are outstanding, but their raised donuts are what really take the cake! The texture is spot on and my non-veg husband didn't put together that they were vegan until he saw me eat one! (They also do not skimp on the filling in the jelly donut, mine was bleeding raspberry jam as I ate it, LOL. Get a napkin!) The new Adeline location is small and geared towards pickup only (no seating, so I guess no more brunch). Bring cash with you as a backup, as when I was there their internet was down (even hotspotting wasn't working) and the kind lady behind the counter mentioned that this has been a recurring issue with this new space, so don't show up with only plastic in your wallet! Right now, the location is easy to miss as there's still paper up in some of the windows etc. but I am looking forward to returning for more phenomenal donuts! I hope they start offering their raised donuts all the time instead of just Friday, Saturday, and Sunday!“

“My son wanted a cheese danish, and theirs was double-sized. Because it was big, when the server retrieved it, the thing broke. She ended up giving us a perfect one, and then included the broken one for free- a nice surprise! So we enjoyed 2 for the price of 1. Great food, great service!“

“Omg best corndogs(the potato original and cheese and a bit of sugar dusted ?) I’ve ever had in my life and it was very reasonable priced. Also their strawberry ? lemonade with popping boba pearls is just ? Milk tea is delicious too. The young lady working the register is very nice and patient with you while ordering. I’ve yet to try their mochinuts but they look beautiful and delicious! It is small inside so you may want to avoid the time all the school kids gets out. Otherwise it’s super cute and very clean inside. My family and I are so happy they’re in our community and look forward to eating there very soon!
Kid-friendliness: It’s super cute inside and they have lots of sweet or savory options for kids and teens.“

“Those donuts are so fresh and amazing I still go there even though the lady at the counter has no customer service skills whatsoever. She didn't acknowledge me when I entered. I had to say hello more than once to get her out of her trance. Then she was very impatient while I selected half of a dozen options. But these are very fresh donuts so.“

“This has been a must stop for coffee and donuts for the past couple weeks. They have multiple choices for addative for coffee, including creamers and raw sugar. It is awesome they have mini versions of apple fritters and cinnamon buns. I love apple fritters, but it is hard to finish big ones. With I split them between meals or days. They also have some lunch choices and other beverages. Oh yeah, they are cash only. But don't worry, they have an ATM if you need it.“

“No frills, decent normal donut shop. I stop in a couple days a week to grab coffee and a donut after I get off the bus to head into work nearby. They usually hook it up with some extra donut holes, love this spot. From the outside and peeking in it’s not much to look at but who cares. Great donuts!! I notice a lot of people order breakfast sandwiches here but haven’t tried myself.“

“A nice restaurant in SF that you can’t tell from the outside. It happens to be near our hotel and the price was great. Croissant was $3 and it was quite good. They have a lot Asian dishes and also some American food too. Asian dishes are best in my opinion although not very authentic and some are quite oily, but delicious and affordable compared to nearby options.“

“This place is AWESOME! Being vegan, I asked what was available. I was told the plain cake donut, the sugar donut and the crumb donut were all vegan! I grabbed a crumb and sugar and they blew me away. Absolutely wonderful. My partner, who is not vegan, got an egg and cheese sandwich that was HUGE and delicious! We also shared a lemonade that was the perfect balance of sweet and sour. I can not recommend this place enough. If not for the food, then for the excellent service. Definitely needs to be a stop when visiting San Fran:)“

“Been wanting to try these donuts for awhile — not only are they INCREDIBLY instagrammable, but the sourdough spin on a donut makes them an obvious homage to SF.
We picked up half a dozen for a party and they were an instant hit — our friends loved the novelty and unique flavors (such as “blueberry and lime” and “campfire s’mores”), and they were big enough to cut into smaller bites for everyone to try.
The chewy texture leans less towards a typical baked dessert and more towards regular bread, which actually balances out the intensely sweet and decadent toppings really well.
The first notable downside is the price — I get that the donuts are high quality, but nearly $40 for a half-dozen donuts made this a one-time experience for us. We also picked up a coffee to go, and despite the cute as hell espresso machine, the coffee was below average. I just can’t see myself motivated to go out of my to come back.
The second downside was the presence of flies inside the donut case — we came in the afternoon and understand that flies can get in even the cleanest of spaces, but these big flies were landing all over the donuts. We had to ask the server to switch out a strawberry donut when she grabbed one that the flies had been on, and she didn’t seem too happy about the request.
Overall, if you’re looking for something fun and unique, this is a great place to try — but I wouldn’t plan on making it a regular haunt.“

“The location or area is a little rundown, but the food and service was excellent. I think this are the best donuts I had in a long time. One thing I like about this donuts is that the bread is denser than other donuts I had before. Almost the same density as muffins. They also have a variety of flavors. I am a mail carrier in San Rafael, and one of my business customer gives out donuts every Friday. I finally asked him where he got them from and he told me it was from this location. so on the weekend, we made a 25 minute trip to this place, got donuts and then went to the beach. Perfect day for a picnic.“
