“Very visually pleasing! I bought two to-go and recommend eating them as soon as possible since they don't travel or store well. Best fresh and eating from a napkin while wandering around Japantown. I got a choco and strawberry (whatever had pink frosting?) one, I didn't see a fruity pebble topping one but I was there towards the closing end of their shop hours.“

“Living in Nob Hill this place is my favourite go to spot, the bbq pork vietnamese sandwich is amazing, the breakfast sandwiches hit the spot, their cream cheese chocolate muffin is to die for. But what makes this place a 10/10 is customer service, the ladies who run the store are amazing people, super friendly and accommodating, make great convo, give amazing recommendations. Love coming here because of the good food and hospitality. 11/10 would recommend!“

“Happy Donuts makes the best breakfast sandwiches and donuts in Oakland. I've been to a lot of places for breakfast sandwiches, I specifically order a sausage, egg, and cheese croissant. Happy Donuts makes it fresh every time. They also have a wide variety of donuts, some I've never seen before but can verify their deliciousness! The staff is always friendly and they get you in and out quick! If you come to Oakland or live here, you should swing by!“

“THE BEST DONUTS!!!!! This little store is my favorite. It’s one of those places that’s lost out of time. Vintage digs, old fashioned prices, and wonderful owners who put love into each and every donut. Cash preferred but they accept card now“

“The patio? There’s a patio??
I’ve been coming to Dynamo for years and somehow had no idea. I always just grabbed a donut to go or picked up a box for coworkers and left.
This time I saw the “patio” sign, grabbed a coffee and a donut, and sat down—and it completely changed everything.
It’s sunny, quiet, and weirdly perfect for getting work done. Great donuts, great coffee - but the patio is the hidden gem.“

“I moved out of the bay 4 years ago and I still carve this place every day. I have gone here since I was 5 and have watched it change over time but they still have the absolute best ham and cheese croissant. The Thai tea and doughnut hold are so good as well. Still want to make a trip back soon for this place.“

“Bob knows how to make a good chocolate old fashioned doughnut!
I was just stopping in for a quick snack and will need to go back and try more in the future. The interior is pretty bare bones but you came for the doughnuts without all the extra cost.“

“I go here for their croissants!!!! I'm a croissant lover. And as we know they aren't that cheap. Many places are charging you up to $5 for ONE croissant!. Well I went to try Lee's and I've haven't gone anywhere else whenever I'm in the mood for my carb treat. First their croissants are HUGE secondly, they're only $3.75! Depending on how you like you're croissants but this place for me are the best. They're not very flaky and a little doughy but I love that. As far a doughnuts I've only had their doughnut holes which were soft and fresh. And they were cheap for the dozen compared to all the other donut shops I've gone too! So if you want your money's worth I recommend coming here!“

“Ordered delivery on Door Dash. This was one of the only Donut Shops I found that also offered some lunch options. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Sandwich. It was good and had a bit of kick to it. The donuts were good and fresh. Several to chose from in their selection. Can’t wait to try out a few more.“

“No frills, decent normal donut shop. I stop in a couple days a week to grab coffee and a donut after I get off the bus to head into work nearby. They usually hook it up with some extra donut holes, love this spot. From the outside and peeking in it’s not much to look at but who cares. Great donuts!! I notice a lot of people order breakfast sandwiches here but haven’t tried myself.“

“I have been to Quality Donuts twice under its new ownership and I am very pleased with the changes they’ve made. The inside of the shop was remodeled and modernized. The old incomplete menu board has been replaced with new monitors showing everything. The number of items they offer have multiplied exponentially. Beyond the typical offerings of donuts and similar baked goods, they also have croissant breakfast sandwiches with egg and cheese and your choice of either bacon or sausage. I’ve had both and they were delicious. They are made with large flaky croissants that put the ones made by fast food restaurants to shame. The selection of hot beverages they serve has been expanded. Besides 3 types of coffee, they have 3 flavors of cappuccino as well as 3 flavors of iced coffee. They also offer frozen beverages. There’s a large variety of cold beverages in bottles and cans. Their other offerings have turned this donut shop into a mini market with a rack full of noodle cups and bowls along with chips, cookies and candies. The only thing missing is the bread pudding the previous owners made from yesterday’s donuts. Other than that, they have something for everyone.“

“I have tried several of their donuts at the presidio tunnel tops, where they sell from a tent on the weekends. These are the best donuts I’ve ever had. They are best described as beautiful, so much so that I often think of them during the week. The blueberry, raspberry, Boston cream, Bavarian cream, and crème brûlée are all amazing! I hope they continue to maintain a presence in SF!“

“I have always enjoyed vegan desserts and could not remember the last time I had a vegan donut. Until I passed by the Donut Farm one afternoon when they were closed. The place is set up perfectly for quick, satisfying stops. It has a walk-up counter with trays of freshly made donuts on full display with bright and blazing glazes, creative toppings, and just enough variety to make choosing difficult in the best way. The vibe is cool, almost ideal for grabbing a couple of donuts to get the weekend started or bringing a box to an early morning staff meeting.
The service stood out immediately. The owner was easygoing and allowed me to take my time. I never felt rushed, which made the decision process more enjoyable.
The wait paid off! I tried the salted caramel and cinnamon sugar. Both were excellent, but the cinnamon sugar stole the show. The dough was impressively light with a slight crispy fry on the outside and a moist, cakey interior. The sugar and spice were perfectly balanced, sweet without being heavy or making me feel sluggish afterward.
If you’re even slightly curious about vegan donuts, this spot delivers. The cinnamon sugar is a must. I’m already planning a return visit to try the Philz Coffee donut. Easy 5 stars for these donuts!“

“It was my first time here and was nervous but the person who attended me was patient and kind. This place gives off a warm vibe. I recommend this place for the people that don't like the cold corporate washed out aesthetic chains stores have. The only down side is that parking is a bit tricky“

“This hole in the wall donut shop has the best apple fritters in the world according to my lady. I think their other donuts are great too. Make sure to bring cash and to lock your car. It is right off of the freeway. Getting back on the freeway can be confusing, but it isn't far.“

“Their food is great, I love their rice dogs and mochi donuts! I wish they had bigger skewers for the tanghulu though. I don't think the milk tea is really worth it since Yumy Gurt nearby has cheaper milk tea. The girl who works as cashier looks as if she got attitude, but not to be rude she makes me avoid Mochiyo occasionally because of her. Overall, this place is not bad.“

“This place is AWESOME! Being vegan, I asked what was available. I was told the plain cake donut, the sugar donut and the crumb donut were all vegan! I grabbed a crumb and sugar and they blew me away. Absolutely wonderful. My partner, who is not vegan, got an egg and cheese sandwich that was HUGE and delicious! We also shared a lemonade that was the perfect balance of sweet and sour. I can not recommend this place enough. If not for the food, then for the excellent service. Definitely needs to be a stop when visiting San Fran:)“

“Someone brought these donuts into work and I didn’t know who brought them or where they were from, but they were so good that I literally went on a hunt for the information! I will most definitely be visiting next time I visit friends in Oakland.“
“This has been a must stop for coffee and donuts for the past couple weeks. They have multiple choices for addative for coffee, including creamers and raw sugar. It is awesome they have mini versions of apple fritters and cinnamon buns. I love apple fritters, but it is hard to finish big ones. With I split them between meals or days. They also have some lunch choices and other beverages. Oh yeah, they are cash only. But don't worry, they have an ATM if you need it.“

“Gateway Croissant is one of those rare spots that quietly becomes part of your life. Tucked within a short walk of the City, State, and Federal buildings and a short walk from BART. It’s the perfect stop for anyone commuting into Civic Center.
For the last two years, any day I’m heading into the City, I have to swing by for a cruller or an apple fritter. At this point, it’s a ritual.
What keeps me coming back isn’t just the pastries (though the cruller is dangerously good). It’s the people. Everyone here is genuinely kind and appreciative, the kind of staff who make you feel like your stop actually matters to them. In a busy part of San Francisco, that warmth stands out.
There’s something special about grabbing a fresh donut and taking a slow walk around the Civic Center, watching the morning unfold, the buildings light up, and the city wake around you. Highly recommend picking up a treat and enjoying a stroll through the plaza. It’s a small moment of calm that sets the tone for the whole day.
Gateway Croissant is simple, welcoming, and consistently excellent. A true neighborhood gem.“

“I loved the donuts -nothing fancy, just traditional ones with classic flavors - but the dough was so fluffy that I thought they were delicious. It's a great spot to grab a coffee, eat some donuts and keep exploring the city. Next time, we ll try the Asian food.“
“Amazing donuts and other pastries! They also serve asian cuisine. The Thai Iced Tea is awesome as well. The staff is equally impressive, very nice. Same name as other shops in Oakland, but that is the only thing similar. You have to go to the one on San Pablo!!!“

“A classic donut shop with some interesting flavors! I came here on a whim in the middle of a long run bc I needed some energy. The donuts absolutely delivered. I tried the pistachio glazed and a donut hole, and they both hit the spot. They even made a fresh batch of decaf coffee just for me (it was late). The area is a bit sketch after dark, but the donuts are absolutely worth it. I plan on returning for the ube cake donut on my next run!“
