“Fourth time trying this place, I do recommend it if craving for a tea, sweet milky boba, or slushy drinks with some hotdogs/meats or cheese snacks. They added waffles snack too. It was quite tasty, with friendly, helpful staff and cute small hidden location with free parking. The price is pretty good for buying one drink and getting 50% off next item. The passion fruit or lemon black tea are so far my favorite here. It was mixed well with great favors. The original hotdogs I tired had so many dipping sauces to select from that it was delicious. It is not a healthy snack, but it was a treat. Many other foods are near this plaza. I was pretty full after for under $10. They take both cash and credit card, have both a person to help order or those order yourself monitor, everything convenient plus a restroom for customers not like some other tea places.“

“We have been going to Boba Box since it was still doing the soft opening. We drive about 15-20 mins just to come here. My family found a new boba place that actually accommodate everybody drinking favorite. I don’t have to drive to Rowland Heights for Half And Half then go to West Covina for BYOB and OneZo. Then go to Dunkin Donuts for Matcha latte. Boba Box is amazing and drinks always comes out the same taste every time. Just the right coldness and amount of toppings. Keep it up the good work.“

“I love tealove. They have so MANY options to choose from. Ranging from teas, juices, coffees and the list goes on. You also choose your level of sweetness. My husband loves the coconut milk tea with boba and brown sugar drizzle. I always get the strawberry coconut with popping strawberry and coconut jelly. My son got the mango lemonade and loved it. He's also tried the peach lemonade and liked it alot too. We ordered 5 minutes before getting there and when we got there our order was ready. They are super fast with orders.“

“New Boba spot and I love it. Their prices are very reasonable and I love that their boba is always fresh and soft. I always order off the swirl menu. Add creme brulee to your drink. They also have fries, onion rings, and cheese sticks. Love the plain cheese sticks, only thing missing is the marinara sauce. They give ranch but I don't like their ranch. It tastes weird. I tried the plain onion rings extra crispy. They are ok but leave a grainy after taste. I'll stick to the cheese sticks. But I love their boba. I go almost every day“

“El Monte doesn’t have too many good boba spots, but Ono Tea House is a decent option. Prices here are a little lower than most places, which is nice.

The tea itself is just okay — not super strong — and the drinks can lean on the sweeter side. I usually order mine with 1/4 sugar since I don’t like them too sweet.

Overall, it’s not a spot I’d go out of my way for, but if you’re in El Monte and really craving boba, it does the job.“

“Came back for round two because I love boba too much to give up that easily 😅 and I’m so glad I did. Tried the hojicha milk tea with no sweetness + boba, and it was a much better experience this time around.

Good flavor tea and good boba are always important to me — I usually get my sweetness from the boba itself, so I almost always order 0 added sugar. The hojicha was flavorful and smooth, and the boba was fresh, chewy, and delicious, which really made the drink.

The staff was super friendly, the space was clean and welcoming, and they were kind enough to let me take photos (always appreciated by a food lover 📸). Everything felt thoughtful and well done, and the vibe was perfect for sitting and actually enjoying your tea.

Critical feedback: I ordered a peach oolong milk tea with boba, 0 sugar. The drink was very watery and I requested more milk in it, but it still wasn't enough. Slightly disappointed with the drink.

Nice-to-have enhancement: have sugar packets outside so customers can adjust the sugar level themselves. Would be nice if the boba had a honey coating to it.

📩 Boba boba! I had the chance to try out @bengong and it was super delicious!

I think the best Asian compliment you can get for dessert is the “not so sweet,” from your aunties, and this was definitely what it was giving.

The sweetest drink by far was the Mango Mochi which was served as a slush. It was super refreshing and a good pick me up drink for a hot day.

The tea lattes were also very good and are definitely a good option for less sweet items. My personal favorite between the lattes had to be the peach latte which was super refreshing and a good study drink!

Environment is also a good place to study and chill at, but definitely on the smaller side 📚🙇‍♀️📖

South El Monte is also home to a lot of Taiwanese boba supplies companies and import so that makes people who start boba shop businesses in the South El Monte an easy access to the materials and that makes it all thrive. When I am not getting the 7Leaves down the street in South El Monte, I would come here to study Mandarin or work on software engineering projects remotely. I think South El Monte has a thriving community of Asian and boba drink lovers. Hello Boba adds another great addition to that one. My wife could not have the wedding without having milk tea served to the guests. My wife and I tried the champ milk tea here and decided that this place was the one. Their portions are much larger than other shops, and the tea flavor is pronounced and not covered by sugar/milk. The manager, Ryan, was super helpful in preparing our bulk order for the wedding, and it was a major hit during our wedding. What person hasn't woken up early to go groceries and realized OmG I need my coffee and this place is right here! Drivethru was fast and friendly.... I tried the mint Serrano and If you are not a fan of mint don't try it if you are this is delicious and I wish I wouldn't back to get a second one after I was done. It was a perfect combo of sweet savory and foam. As variant plays later when it melted and I actually could have more. Love the freshness of the mint and as I opened it I saw the fresh mint!
