The large iron stew is a must-try—delicious and ideal for sharing. The menu has a lot of with famous Chinese dishes. My favorite and unexpected dish was the traditional desserts with pears and a lot of longevity herbs. Totally recommend for family or celebratory occasions!“

“Came here to try your their Hainan chicken rice to compare with other restaurants. We ordered the combo for 4, came with 2 plates of already deboned chicken, 4 bowls of rice and soup stock, 1 plate of stirred fry Shanghai choi and 1 playe of smashed cucumber pickle and small tub of pried peanuts. The chicken was mediocre , the soup stock tastes like warm water which is really puzzling with all the chicken that they served. The 2 dipping sauce were not enough for the entire chciken plates. They charge extra if i you ask for more. Order through the QR code. Doesn’t work when we were there.“

“I'm giving them 5 stars for the quality and taste of their signature offering --- lobster! Ours was huge and expensive, but we allowed ourselves this luxury to satisfy our craving. Definitely worth our visit after a morning spent walking around Ikea. A friend of ours told us about this place a while back but we waited a long time to try them out. It was worth it. We had the lobster prepared their house special way! It came out of the kitchen quickly, perfectly seasoned and stir-fried. We ate it with some ong choy sauteed in garlic and some rice. The lobster proved too much for 2 people, but we didn't mind taking the rest home. Next time, we will definitely try their other dishes.“

So, one day, after work, in May of 2024, I decided to grab my dinner at this establishment. When I came, there was ample of space, to sit down, and enjoy a meal. Of course, my visit was in the middle of the week. In addition, the staff were helpful and attentive. They also recommended certain meals to try out. Those meals were well-made, and in timely manner. At the same time, they were delicious. Of course, the prices, too, were not on the expensive side. So, if anyone is in City of Industry or La Puente area, I would recommend to stop by this restaurant. It is located at Rhino Plaza shopping area.“

“We discovered this local gem and decided to try it. They did not disappoint. Their noodle had a good chew/texture in the beef brisket noodle soup. Sesame noodles had good flavor and adequate amount of sauce. The XLB was flavorful and juicy and same with the pork pot sticker. Garlic bok choy also well good along with the popcorn chicken. We had a great experience and would recommend this place to anyone looking authentic noodles and dumpling in the area.“

“Surprisingly tasty! It's a hole-in-the-wall type of family restaurant. Food portions are substantial and rather affordable in price. Taste? Authentic mama type of cooking.

- Wonton: It is very good, but not the best in Socal like someone suggested.
- Pot stickers: The best dish today. Very crispy and filled with lean meat. Little fat.
- Porridge: porridge of the day is a sweet millet porridge. Not bad, very "Taiwan" like
- Steamed bun: lots of filling. Great baos.

Got 3 3 items combos work wonton soup extra rice noodles and rice and a lrg coke for $56. Fed 6 people with almost half leftover. “Pretty decent branch Chinese restaurant. Prices are decent for congee and noodles but chengfei is a little bit pricey. Service is alright but food comes out quick. The quality of food is very good especially the seafood congee. Chengfei is pretty good as well, and it's freshly made. Mushroom Shu Mai is decent and big. Probably coming back for congee and other items next time, and recommend people who want something cozy for breakfast or lunch here.“

“They used to be New Wok on Peck Rd next to the dealership in the shopping center! They are the best Wok in El Monte! I almost cried after eating their food. We tried other Woks from 5 different cities, NONE of them compare! Have been a customer since I was a kid! So happy they are reopen! It’s our first visit to their new location.

Their rice in this visit was a bit too salty and taste slightly different too. But, their signature chow mein is SO good! No other place compares! Their egg roles are also delicious too! Their food quantity is just as big too! You really get your bang for your buck:

2 combo is like $10-$11 and the 3 combo is $12.49ish.

They used to have vegetarian/pescatarian options, but not anymore. I hope they have more veggie and seafood options!“

“Simple Taiwanese lunch bentos, generally $11 each (since March 2024 I believe), cash only. Check the Facebook page for the daily menu. There is one option each for chicken, pork, or fish. Additionally, I believe you can call in ahead of time to order a fried pork chop (no walk-in orders for that). Each bento comes with a small soup. Flavors are on the lighter side; if you prefer stronger flavors, you might not enjoy these bentos.“

“Long story but me and my friends needed to eat really fast because we had to be somewhere and because of the rush we were being a bit confusing but the employee there was still very chill about it and had amazing customer service. Our group as a whole ordered a bunch of side dishes and one main dish but the food still came out in a jiffy fresh, tasty, and hot. I feel really bad because I didn’t give a tip for how well of a job they did since we were in such a rush but I wanted to leave a review on how good this place is.“

“Let's get to the point: BEST LAMB SOUP EVER HAD IN MY LIFE. ? Don't get me wrong, the lamb dumplings and the meat pies are both freaking excellent, but the soup just takes it to a whole next level. It's amazingly savory and flavorful and you can really taste the quality lamb and all that lamb flavor in the broth itself. ?

There is a full sauce bar where you can make sauces for your soup or your dumplings. The sauce bar also has complimentary soup broth for you to have with your meal or refill your soup, (though this is a much watered down version of the real entree soup item.) They also give out complimentary milk tea, edamame, and snack jerky for the table. We also got complimentary milk tea while you wait, as the line can be long during peak hours, (though it does move fast.) So much free stuff! ?

My friend who is from Inner Mongolia was the one that took me here, and even she was impressed and said this is the closest thing to the food from her hometown. ?

“This is the best rice noodle I have eaten in the United States. The ones in the Bay Area are not as delicious as this one. The crispy skin is super fragrant. The rice noodles are extremely soft but not chewy. The other noodles are either hard or broken. I will go there again before returning to the Bay Area. once“

We ordered

MSG warning. I did not feel it then but about half hour after I started to get an MSG headache. I do have sensitivity—I should have asked but forgot bc many places I have eaten recently do not use.

Chef special Walnut chicken. Superb 5/5
The batter coating was light. No oily greasy feeling or oil absorbed into batter. The honey mayo dressing was also perfect light

Mongolian beef. My husband gave it 4, me 3 stars. Because it was not really Mongolian beef. The correct name would be black pepper beef. It did not taste like Mongolian beef

Kung pao chicken 3 stars was not as good. It was passable. The chicken seemed like it was lightly coated in cornstarch then fried. But it was fried a bit too long bc chi he was very dry. Also the sauce was not great. Tasted also a bit in the burnt side. I like smoky but burnt not great. See pic. I like tre chicken more lightly cooked so it’s still a bit soft and juicy. Sauce also too burnt

We had ordered sesame chicken on a bed orange slices do taste s little like orange chicken. Delicious 4.5/5 stars

“Came to Dun Huang for our birthday dinner as per my sister's recommendations. Their menu is quite extensive and we opted to order several dishes to eat family style; love the convenience of ordering through the app; which allows all members of your party to add their desired dishes. All the dishes were well seasoned and very delicious. My favorite dishes were the whole fish and the cucumber appetizer. Will definitely be coming back to try their other dishes.“

“They had great egg flower soup. It was slightly sweet and had a great consistency. The Kung Pao chicken was crispy and well seasoned. I randomly came upon this place and it was a good decision. The place is super new also, I think they just opened it up recently.“

“The most important thing for those with allergies is that it is nut free. No peanuts in their Kung Pao chicken and she said no nuts in anything so no possibility for cross contamination. The almond cookies of course have an almond in them but they are individually packaged and not in the cooking area. They use soy oil. They don’t use MSG.

SERVICE: Ling was incredibly helpful answering my questions and figuring out what would work for me.

VIBE: The place, while not beautifully decorated is extremely clean.

FOOD: The food was really good. Of course taste is subjective - I grew up with proper Chinese food and this is proper.

QUALITY: excellent and fresh no browning on the veggies.

PORTIONS: Huge - one 2 item combo was enough for 2 people who eat healthy size portions. I could only eat half.

BONUS: Bilingual - Spanish didn’t seem to be an issue.

PRICES: Average. $9-13 for combos, $6 for soup, $1 for an egg roll.

Highly recommend not because it’s the #1 Chinese food place but the overall experience qualifies as 5 star in my book.

Vegetarian options: I asked the following are meat free…Veggie, Egg Drop and Hot & Sour soup, they will custom make soft or fried tofu and veggies for the combo plate, Veggie egg rolls, chop suey, etc.“

“The lady that served us was really nice. She is very attentive and suggested us a few dishes according to our preference, since some of us do not eat spicy. I was impressed by all the dishes we ordered. The lobster was so good, I was not expecting the lobster to be a popular dish since it is a Peking duck house. The eel stick rice was amazing too.
