“Kikyo Sushi and Sake Bar is a great place to eat some great food. Their handrolled sushi rolls are lit!

We had a California Roll and a rock shrimp roll, and they were perfectly delicious. The rice was plump, with a slight bite with the perfect amount of filling.

A must try is their spicy garlic edamame. Man, they are so flavorful with the right spiciness. You'll be asking for seconds.

The reason for a 4 rating is that the bulgogi beef was a bit dry. It fell a little short in flavor and its traditional sweetness.

They have a great 5 dollar "thirst-quenching" draft beer that goes perfectly with your meal of choice.

Will I be back...YES! In a heartbeat and you should too, when you're in the area.“

“This is the best place in LA for teriyaki. I got the chicken and beef plate. The sauce is sweet and delicious, the chicken is perfectly grilled with a nice charbroiled flavor, and the beef is tender. Make sure you add the fresh avocados which pair perfectly with the meat and rice. I enjoyed adding the complimentary hot yellow chilies as well.

This is my third visit here and tonight the beef seemed a little bit fattier than usual like it wasn't trimmed enough, but other than that, everything was perfect. I will be back.“

“This place is easily one of the best sushi spots on 2nd street, delicious options with plentiful portions. I tried the Mexican, AAA roll and the deep fried California roll with all 3 being stellar. The atmosphere is lively and the greeting when you walk in from the sushi chefs is nice ?

I got curious about the Spicy chicken sandwich and decided to try it out.I have a high spice tolerance and never was really "spiced"out by ANY Spicy Sandwich. Until today. By far, the best spicy chicken sandwich I've had so far. Very crispy and juicy.. Well done! I'll be regularly coming back :)“

“I came here to check out their breakfast and let me tell you I was impressed. They had this toast with avocado, onions and tomatoes 10 out of 10 I even tried their breakfast udon and the broth was so delicious. I even got into their onigiri and I tried their California their crunch the tuna and the salmon, and they were all so flavorful. But their yogurt Matcha was my favorite as well as their torch spam musubi so so good definitely you’re gonna wanna come check out for their breakfast. It is such a cute little mom and pop shop. It’s like a hidden gem very friendly very clean. I’m definitely coming here to have breakfast and their actual lunch and dinner. Rice, beef, and ginger, and 1 other small side (I can’t remember) but it was really good.

Utahs food is boring, bland and flavorless. Found this spot as I was rolling through Long Beach and decided to stop. The lady at the counter was super nice and welcoming! “This place did not appear automatically on Google Maps and we just saw it in the area. But so glad we did! Got the donkatsu (Donkkaseu) combo with soba. Portions were pleasantly larger than expected and we felt contently full afterwards. The katsu was fried perfectly and had a nice crunch! The donkatsu had lots of meat, and there were also side dishes that came with the meal!

“The chicken nanban was great! My only complaint is that by the time I had gotten it it home (about 5-6 mins), the Karage was no longer crispy! However, the nanban tartar sauce was very good, and made up for the lack of crunch.

Not the typical sugar loaded sweet teriyaki but a delicious, savory sauce with a little smokiness to it that really is just great on any of their plates. “I had came here for some to go terriyaki chicken before but this time was the first time eating at the restaurant.

It’s a cute little Japanese restaurant with a variety of options from rolls, sushi, warm plates/bento boxes.
I have definitely not explored a lot, but what we got was great.

We tried chicken gyozas, which were okay. We also tried the shrimp eggroll recommended by the owner as she told us the filling was made in house, which was good!
For the plates, I got the sesame chicken as I wanted to change from terriyaki. It was really good. Filling with the rice and salad. The miso soup was actually really good!

Overall, it was a great experience. We got to talk a lot with the owner, and I learned a bit more about that place that has been around for 20 years!
So, my only advice is: support your local smaller businesses. They need it and you get to enjoy nice food!“

“We were staying at a nearby hotel and the restaurant was closing soon. The staff were pleasant anns the restaurant was clean and nice. Our food was cooked perfectly with great flavor and I loved the gluten free soy sauce! We highly recommend this restaurant“

The fish melted in the mouth and the sauces were yummy. Great presentation too. The kids had tamago. They always like the sweet egg sushi.

“My brother and I wanted to try a new ramen place and ended up here. The food itself was great as I got the bulduk ramen and tempura shrimp and my brother got the tonkatsu. It was all good until I wanted the check. We sat for 30 minutes waiting for a check. The front of staff was more concerned with the group next to us or being idle. I have pressed to call for a server multiple times and hearing the ping letting them know a table needed help but I could not get their attention. I only got my check after the table next to us asked for a check when I told them I wanted a check. I partly blame the system for not properly letting the staff know since the ping only went off for a server request but also for how unattentive the staff is to some other guests. We were at the corner of the bar.“

It was all delicious in a cozy restaurant with friendly staff that made it a great dinner experience. We arrived at 8.15pm, the kitchen last call is 8.30pm. We ordered everything right away. At 8.30pm they did come around for last call from the kitchen. We had an enjoyable dinner experience.“

“Been looking for a place like this for a long time... finally found it.. Hidden little gem behind Subway! Great bento boxes that have meat teriyaki, California rolls and more!
For a first time I got the chicken teriyaki bowl because I don't really care for the veggies, but when you get the plate meals, you get a lot of salad with the meal! Their salad dressing looks like ranch dressing (in case you were curious). I have had both the chicken and beef but to me, the chicken is the best. The staff were all friendly and provided great customer service. Both interior and exterior are kept very clean and there's plenty of parking.“
