“Our friendly neighborhood ice cream shop full of delicious flavors (as expected from BR). Lots of flavors, lots of cones and decorative cups, and sundaes. They usually have 1-2 staff which can be under during busy hours but we generally go late in the evening when there is less traffic, so it’s prompt. There are plenty of ice cream cakes to go and a very cute guest seating arrangement.“

They have abominations like habanero with berries and strawberries with pepper and balsamic, for the bold.

The rest of less weird combinations are just delicious, vanilla bean with sea salt and caramel, lavender, chocolate brownie.

Pricing was more reasonable than other vendors in the Sonoma / Napa area. Only wish that I had a chance to try all 7 flavors on the night of (or asked for a to-go container). Would definitely work with them again.“

“I saw a worker from another place come back from break holding a churro. I had to ask where, this shop was two doors down. First I ordered the churro and then I saw the fun ice cream varieties. Settled on a refreshing soursop, it had seeds! My friend got a dried fruit and he said that grew on him. There are many other flavors to try next time. Service was nice, there are a couple of tables to sit and eat other snacks that they make as well. PS the churros were OK, crispy and sweet but the middle was not as crispy as fresh out of a fry vat in Mexico.“

“My boss always bought Romolo's for office parties, and the cannolis are always so good. So when my husband and I were planning an Italian feast for our wedding, Romolo's came to mind immediately. Over the course of a few months we came in to try different cookies and cannolis. The place is super cute and the staff is so nice.

Erin, one of the owners, was so helpful and we ended up doing a mix of cannolis and cookies. We ordered 50 cannolis and a few dozen cookies for 35 guests. There were maybe 5 cannolis left which one guest took home for their family.

Our families are Italian from NY and most of them said it was the best cannoli they've had outside of NY. (They can't say it's better than a NY cannoli - that would be treason.)

“The staff here is always friendly and helpful. They always find a way to accommodate a request even if it is last minute. For example they took care of me on Saturday when I needed a cake for my son's birthday party on Sunday without any complaints even though I was the one asking late. At the Santa Cruze Ave location in Menlo Park I was told that all I could so was choose from what was in the display fridge. Props to Carlos at the EPA location who even gave me his personal cell to make sure everything was seamless! And the cake was super yummy as well!!!“

“Every time I’ve gone there it’s been a great experience! When there’s a line, the employees are super efficient and the wait times are never bad. It’s super fun watching them make the ice cream. I recently went there to get my mom a smoothie and the guy was super nice (I didn’t get his name sadly) I tried a bit of her smoothie (WITH PERMISSION!) and it was delicious. “Just delicious. I ordered an ube soft serve with an Ah Boong (fish waffle) on the side. The Ah Boong is warm and fresh, simultaneously soft and crispy, and the ice cream is flavorful and the perfect amount. I inhaled the entire thing within 5 minutes, it was just that good. The ube soft serve is not the best I've had, but it's still good, and that's probably because of my personal tastes. I think it is worth the price. The location is convenient too, right in Downtown San Mateo! Overall, I will come again. 4/5.“

Parking: You can easily find parking in the back parking lot located police station and walk through the shopping center, or, easily find parking at a meeting or timed for free.

Kid-friendliness: They have been nothing more than kid catering, so if you're an adult be careful! If you're a kid you're going to get everything you like and more!

Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible through anything on the first floor with multiple ramps.“

“Pretty decently good froyo- what you’d expect. Not self-serve, not many flavor options. But what’s there are good options in my opinion. I got pomegranate and original (I was asked if I wanted them in a swirl or separate) with mochi toppings. The mochi topping was good quality- soft and squishy, not hardened like some other places. I have come here a few times before over the years and you can expect the quality standards to be the same every time. Dependable good froyo place.
