“Food is tasty for sure! I ordered takeout from Uber eat and the food was ready almost instantly so probably in the morning they have a good amount made to be able to serve quickly. Place is in a plaza where plenty parking is available. Can't say how it is inside as we just got take out. All the sandwiches were great! They are a bit small. My husband needed 2 or probably 2 and a half for breakfast. They are thin sandwiches/bagels. Will order again in the future when I have a chance.“

“We all had such a wonderful time! The opera was sensational, and the whole environment felt like two great friends who are so talented invited us over and cooked us a great meal. Me being vegetarian, I was accommodated with a nice lovely fresh salad.Opera, approachable, and friendly and very different than going to a big theater stuck with lots of stuff people. This was really friendly and approachable and down to her. I loved it.I love the place because it’s small and like someone’s home to some degree, and the outdoor patio was covered in on the corner. I didn’t sit on the patio, but I would love to go back and have one of their fabulous pastries, and a cup of coffee soon.I’d say be on the lookout for another opera event because there aren’t many spaces and I’m sure they go fast. It was well worth it and it wasn’t anywhere near the cost of opera tickets in a big theater or music venue. Our two hosts, the Devo and the diva are such genuine, loving people. They were so welcoming and so friendly and kind and we felt like we knew them forever. There is parking a couple of alleys down in the garage. That was a really great feature too.Only suggestion would be that for those who wish to use their cell phones, that they go stand in the back and do that without obstructing the view of others. It was so distracting that people these days cannot just be in the moment and enjoy an event. How can you really , breathe in and feel the force of the opera while you’re recording it on your phone with your hand up in the air blocking the view of everyone else? So my suggestion would be that you disallow this practice and unless people are willing to go stand in the back out of everyone else’s way. Thanks so much, and I’m sure we will see more of our beautiful hosts soon!Vegetarian options: A meal was offered, and this was an event-not that we just walked in. I’m sure the owners will be more than willing to make adjustments for anyone who, like me, doesn’t eat meat.“

“Whether you are popping in for a glass of wine before shopping at Sepulveda next door or having dinner of their wonderful specials that change daily (check Instagram), you will enjoy your experience at Juan Jasper. Lots of lively conversations between the staff and patrons (while still being attentive), varied and upbeat music playing just loud enough in the background, and a direct view of the kitchen makes for a wonderful atmosphere. A small act of consideration and respect by a customer is rewarded by the generous proprietor. This is what service and dining should be. You can see why folks happily wait to get a seat at this local gem. Cannot recommend enough: great for lunch and dinner.“
“I went here cause of the large number of 5-star reviews on google maps this place has. I wasn’t disappointed. Very efficient service. Loved the ambience of the place. The breakfast croissant sandwich is a unique offering in the area and honestly it was so good.“

“We ate dinner here on a Friday night, and we loved it so much that we came back for breakfast on Sunday. Breakfast is great, but their dinner is the real star to us. Every option is so creative and delicious, and the price for what you get is very reasonable.“

“Nice to little cafe inside the TD America building. I got the French toast special with both sausage and bacon. And then my friend got the waffle special. Everything was excellent. Eggs were scrambled perfect, sausage was flavorful, bacon was meaty and flavorful, and the French toast and waffles were both very good. We will definitely be back.“
“C-Level is a San Diego treasure. The menu is so yummy and the view is amazing. I had the "skirts on fire" salad and it's one of my favorites anywhere. My aunt had the ahi avocado stack and it looked delicious. Our server, Mindy, was friendly and attentive. .“

“Nice place to have a coffee,The contrast between old ceramic containers on decor and new plastic raps in use, settled dry flowers and moveable fresh flowers is visually playful and joyful. like the jars collection and the natural aesthetic engages in minimalism. A little primitive in practical elegance.Desert is good, personally prefer a little less sweetnessWill return definitely!“

“I absolutely love this place for our community! The owners and staff are truly amazing. Big shout out to Landry for the stellar service always. I’m here every week and the food is amazing! I’m so in love with my order I never change it. That juicy chicken sandwich, the white mocha blended. Sometimes I get the watermelon lemonade to take for the road! Check this place out there are always events and vendors.“

“Delicious brunch! We enjoyed the Somali Malawian which was absolutely delightful—cheesy, hearty, and spiced. We also had the duck and sweet potato hash that was topped with a super fresh salad. If you enjoy a savory dense bread, the Afghan sweet bread was a great end to our meal, as the citrus butter was to die for. Will definitely be going back!“

“On vacation and took a quick trip into the Cafe. Beautiful Art and Atmosphere. The barista that took care of us made our drinks great, just wish a bit more flavor came through! But on the flip side, if you like to taste the espresso, this is the place for you!“

“Love this coffee shop. Feel like right now coffee shops focus a lot on aesthetics vs quality of coffee. This place does both. It’s a lovely coffee shop and their coffee is delicious. Sage, palosanto , thyme, mint on my coffee? Yes please! Highly recommend ✨“

“Probably my 2nd or 3rd visit ever - been craving it and was washing clothes down the street. If the delicious smell of all the food doesn’t lure you in, you’re missing out. Such a simple menu, yet food is packed with flavor! Got the turkey chipotle and Mexican mocha. Great folks and atmosphere and adequate wait for the food. Love that they have space for local artists to showcase their work and a section for business cards. What a great way to build community while bringing rich flavors to the neighborhood.“

“If your like me and grew up somewhere in New England with an amazing clam shack nearby where you lived then you probably also know you can't find whole belly clams anywhere out here. Except of course Pete's. Pete drives to the airport 3 times a week I'm told to pick up his shipment of fresh New England Maine lobster and seafood. His cooks have been taught well how to fry them to perfection. It's a true neighborhood restaurant with nice people, excellent service and a product that cannot be found anywhere else in San Diego. AMAZING! I have been going there for years. If you want to meet Pete you'll have to go for lunch. Seems like he's there every day. If it's dinner you'll be served by one of his people. All the same people I've seen for many years which is another sign of a good restaurant.“

“Did it live up to the hype? Yes, yes, and yes. Ever since I got back from New York where I had some of the best banana pudding, I've been on the hunt for something similar in San Diego. I found myself near the area, so I stopped by to try Extraordinary Banana pudding, and I am so glad I did. They had many different flavors but I am basic and like original stuff, so I went with the regular and also tried the banana pudding cupcake. The pudding was fluffy, smooth, had fresh bananas, and wafers - it was so delicious. The cupcake was also just as good, it reminded me of banana bread in cupcake form. The only thing I wish was different is the packaging and the pudding to have more wafers, but that is obviously a personal preference. The owner is also very friendly and welcoming. Large trays were available, but I believe those need to be ordered in advance. It is a bit pricey, but what isn't, inflation is everywhere. Overall, I will be back for more!“

“This is a small cafe that has been around a long time. As such, it's not necessarily trendy or have great decor, but it is a nice place. Our waitress was good and the food was also good. If you want a great sloppy Joe, or a good salad, this is a good place. Plus they serve a few vegetarian dishes.Parking: The parking lot is small, but we found parking at lunch time.Wheelchair accessibility: Definitely wheelchair accessible.“

“I haven't been here since the first week they opened a couple of years ago. The place is very clean. The food is good quality. I had a bagel with smoked salmon, the avocado was a nice touch. I thought it strange they waited to make coffee after I ordered it. At least it was fresh. And I suppose if you call it "Americano" you can charge $4 for a plain cup of coffee. The young man working here had to be shown how to do almost everything by the woman who knew what she was doing. I hope it was his first day. Someone needs to teach him that it's rude to wear earbuds while talking with customers. They had a couple of flavor creamers for the coffee but no stir sticks. When I asked for one, I got a plastic spoon, which is a bit of a waste.“

“4.5 stars We arrived on a Thursday morning and found that there was very little free parking. Paid parking is plentiful and we had to walk a bit to find free parking. The inside of this place is just great. Plenty of art and plants make this place really feel cozy and great place to hang out. We ordered a scone with peanut butter ube butter, a black sesame latte, and a pandan latte. The lattes took a while to come out, but the scone came out fast. The scone itself was solid and the addition of the PB-Ube butter was nice...it really brought creaminess to the party. Once the lattes came we gave them a sip. The black sesame latte was fine. I was unsure about the addition of activated charcoal, but I didn't really taste it. I would have wanted to taste more black sesame. The pandan latte was very good. It had just the right amount of sweetness and was very satisfying. I definitely want to come back here, as it seems like a cool night time hang out spot. On an unrelated note: the bathroom smelled GREAT! (not sarcastic)“

“As soon as we walked in we were greeted by the friendly staff and seated right away. A great start to an even better meal! My fiancèe and I ordered the Honeymoon latte (vanilla latte sweetened with honey) and a Dirty Chai to start, both were super delicious, beautiful and handcrafted to perfection. For our meals my fiancèe ordered the Beefee Benedict which is served with Kufta (think Mediterranean "meatloaf" with robust herbs and spices) and a house blend cheese on top of English muffins and a made from scratch Hollandaise sauce. And I had ordered the Shakshuka "Special" which is on the regular menu, that's just how they named this dish and that comes with grilled onions and peppers, Kufta, two sunny side eggs in a rich and perfectly acidic tomato puree and houseblend cheese with a house made Bread dome on top of the whole dish. Delicious is an understatement, the food, the drinks the atmosphere, I mean everything fit so prefect. They have a little taste of different cultures and offer healthy alternatives and everything is made in house and I could not say anything bad about this place. 10 out of 10 recommend and we will definitely be coming back to try other amazing dishes.“

“My family and I had the best time here. The decor was very nice. Upstairs, they played funny video clips for the kids. The servers were great. Helped in every way, checked on us to see how we were doing, and one young lady even took our picture for us. One of the servers carried a full glass of water on top of 3-4 other full glasses. The food was the very best part. There was more than enough to eat if you could stop eating. The price was very good too. I would have paid more.“
“Good place for an expensive bite delicious bite. I love how the servers are accommodating in the beginning but forget about you after the food was delivered to the table. The place is small but cute. Only recommendation is for service to remain the same throughout the whole time.“
“Fairly new cafe to the North Park area! This place isn't crowded like the other nearby cafes on the weekend and is perfect for knocking out some work.Things you should know:I. PARKINGStreet parking is the move. There's also a nearby parking garage at the intersection of 29th St and N Park Way ~ close walking distance.II. SERVICETopped off the experience here for me. The cafe barista I spoke with was extremely helpful and personable.III. QUALITYThe PINKY signature latte was delicious. Subtle hints of rose and natural sweetness added by the honey ~ highly recommend.IV. CAPACITYFair amount of available seating on the weekend. This cafe hasn't gotten a lot of clout yet because of how new it is, keeping it hidden for the locals.! No lines!“

“I love the Cali style wrap, it’s my go to and big enough to have leftovers or split with someone. This place is a little pricey and a little slow which is why I take off one star. The cashier is warm and friendly and she gave me a drink on the house for the long wait which I really appreciated. I hope this spot stays as there’s nothing else like it near north park.“

“Coffee fact: While Brazil may grow the most coffee, Finland drinks the most coffee!A New Orleans Iced Coffee ($6.60, 2% Milk), an Iced Hibiscus Blood Orange drink ($4.00), two Lemon GF cookie ($4.50 ea.), and three Salted Chocolate Chunk Cookie ($4.00 ea.) were order. I was going to see my niece later that evening and she was going to be given a salted chocolate cookie and one of the lemon cookies but I'm a terrible aunt and really liked the salted chocolate cookie so I kept all three for myself. ;)They have a window area to see into the kitchen if you're interested in watching them make their baked goods. I will admit that the drinks weren't it though. The New Orleans Iced Coffee tasted watery and the Iced Hibiscus Blood Orange drink wasn't balanced with it leaning more towards hibiscus than blood orange. Oh well. You can tell this is a well-loved spot in the neighborhood. There was even an adorable dollface Persian kitten sitting in the patio that looked as pleased as can be being outside Lofty Coffee Cafe and Bakery. Stop in, grab a cuppa, and enjoy a leisurely stroll down Little Italy.“

“I was craving some yummy coffee and decided to try this place out. I got a large black salted caramel latte and the hubby got their new strawberry chai tea latte. Both were delicious and flavorful. “This place is wonderful. Quick service, delicious drinks, and yummy sweets. It also gives a very communal vibe - as a newcomer, I can tell folks come here often with how chatty folks are and the interactive relationship the owner has with them. I love the small community vibe. My favorite drink is the pandan latte. As someone that is absolutely in love with pandan and wishes more place had it, I was so excited to see this place does. And it's a perfect balance. Not too sweet or too light. My favorite treat here has to be the coconut almond cake. It's gluten free, decadent, and heaven in your mouth. The coconut taste is very strong, which I personally love. I ended up buying the whole set one day for a friend's event and it was a major hit with my GF friends.“

“Good selections but most dishes have cheese ? but menu descriptions don't state that it has cheese. I tried the corn beef hash with eggs. It was okay but the hash was very salty I suppose if you mix the potatoes and eggs with the hash it will tame the saltiness of the hash. Coffee ☕️ is good especially since there is a selection to choose from.“

“This is an amazing hole-in-the-wall Cafe. It's run by mom and pop with amazing and tasty pastries. I'm a big fan of their empanadas. They come in beef and chicken. Soooooo yummy and flavorful! The kind lady that runs this Cafe is so so sweet and so welcoming. I've only went twice so far because I was craving empanadas and the place I usually go to ran out, and the kind lady remembered me from just meeting me once. She's so sweet. And everything else is just as amazing. So instead of the other place I usually went to, I'm only going here from now on!!!“
“The 5 star reviews are spot on! I was staying with a friend a few blocks away and decided to grab some coffee and pastries. Everything was delicious and Kim was extremely friendly. I was the only non-regular of the handful of customers currently there, and it was cool to see the relationships Kim has built with all her customers. “Inconspicuously small deli spot in Jamul. When you pass by it may not look like much from the outside, but TRUST it's a hidden gem. Love this place - it's my favorite deli. It's family run by Manoli and his wife Rosio. Their son Milton also helps them out. They've been in business for almost 30 years. One bite of their pastrami sandwich will explain it all. They are so sweet and just the nicest and welcoming family. I love their consistency, every time you walk in the door you're greeted with a warm smile and food is always made with love. They don't make it til you order it and taste homemade. Give it a try and you'll find why they've lasted through time. From the sandwiches, their salads to their smoothies. You can never go wrong and the portions have not been affected by inflation. Same portion size.“
