“Had to wait a little. But I was in no rush. I got the mile high bagel sandwich, blueberry muffin, and latte. Everything was delicious. The sandwich looks small, but it was super filling. The bagel tasted like it was freshly made. It was soft and airy and nicely toasted. Very delicious! It's definitely worth the wait. Love to support local cafes. This one is in a quiet part of town by the bus station, and there's a library across the street. Not too much car traffic on a Monday morning.Kid-friendliness: Super kid friendly. “Over 10 years I’ve been eating at this place. And I probably always will when in the area. The food this last time was fine overall (I had the corned beef) though the short French fries (there was no real hash) were dark and hard. And the bakery section did not have the good selection it used to have: first time I didn’t get a dessert. Other than that, it’s a great place.“

The wait time felt extremely long upwards of 30 mins to receive a sandwich. We got the biscuit breakfast sandwich though tasty it was incredible small and and lacking in substance for that price. “A great bakery located in Los Gatos on W Main Street/University Ave. My wife and I have been coming here off and on for years. They have street parking or parking lot in the back. Nicely decorated, yet simple. They also sell bakery accessories, etc. The customer service is nice, helpful, and friendly. Grab a number because they service by ticket numbers and get there early because they do run out of items. They are famous for their banana cake along with their banana cupcakes - moist, light, fluffy, and topped with a sweetened frosting. A must get!!! In addition, they sell whole cakes, loaves, cupcakes, cookies, etc.“

“The owner of Du Ciel made our baby shower cake. We had a Little Dumpling theme and she made a beautiful cake that looks like a dumpling basket with little sugar dumplings on top. It was so beautiful and delicious. She was also just really nice and easy to talk to. She came in on a day her shop was closed just to give us our cake as fresh as possible. Thank you so much! Would definitely go here again!“
“Came in before 10AM on a Saturday and there wasn't many treats left! This place opens at 9. I got the chocolate glazed "donut" and it's just a brioche bun, not in donut shape. Didn't like their latte, it was overly bitter and a bit too much foam for a latte. Maybe the barista mixed up the other customer's order, who got a cappochino.“
“As a vegan, finding a truly delicious birthday cake is tough to find. But Black China Bakery outdid themselves! My husband ordered the vegan raspberry chocolate cake for my 64th and it's the best I've had in a long time. Kaitlin outdid herself with the decorating as well. As a long time vegan cook and baker, I'm not sure how she manages such a delicious frosting, but it was divine. I wouldn't hesitate to order from Black China Bakery. They were kind, accommodating to my husband's requests and all around a business that deserves our support.“
“Amy the baker in SV Safeway saved my Christmas! My father had been wanting a Black Forest cake I had completely forgotten in ordering it. When I walked in to asked about ordering, I was told that they were backed up on orders but did ask for information incase they had extras. I got a call on Christmas Eve that Amy is able to make a Black Forest cake. I surprised my dad with the cake, and he was overwhelmed with joy, as that is the only thing he wanted for Christmas. Thank you Amy!“
“This is one of my favorite bagel places. If I could, I would give them an extra star for having a good selection of bagels still available at noon time on a Sunday. I had the cheddar pesto with veggie cream cheese. Great chewy consistency to the bagel. Also awesome is that they put a decent amount of cheddar and pesto on the bagel. The bagel was toasted and some of the cheddar was crispy. So good. Next time, though, I'm getting the chive cream cheese. It has a more distinct flavor. I look forward to my next bagel here.“

“Laurie was so kind to work with me to make a gender reveal cake for me and my husband. We got our wedding cake from her about 2 years ago and she used the same frosting + cake recipe, which was so special (which is why the outside is pink - raspberry frosting by request!). She was so easy to work with and made this experience so special for us. Highly recommend for any dessert need, but especially special occasions!!!!“
