“The coffee here is amazing and it’s a great place to work. They source directly from Columbian farmers and there’s an option to send tips directly to farmers. A latte is $6.50, and they have some interesting syrups you can add on (banana, maple, blueberry, etc.).“

“My husband and I are visiting San Francisco for our anniversary, and we wanted to find a great place for coffee and breakfast. This place is amazing! Coffee and scones are out of this world! The people that work there spent a ton of time with us recommending places to visit and eat. Super clean and amazing hospitality!“

“I went to Java Cafe and really loved the coffee — it had an old-school taste that I truly enjoy. Everything was very clean, the staff were friendly, and the outdoor seating made the experience even better. A simple, cozy spot that I’d happily visit again.“

“AMAZING. Loved the service and coffee. I ordered the Sampaguita latte with whole milk and it was the perfect blend of not too sweet, not too bitter, and balanced coffee-milk ratio. I find a lot of lattes to be too light on the espresso but they have nailed it. My latte was fragrant and bright with almost chocolatey notes after the initial floral scent.“

“Great Experience with Early Bird Tacos! I needed to set up a pretty last minute breakfast for our team of 23 employees. When sending in an inquiry, through their website, to see if they could cater our breakfast, they responded very quickly and were able to accommodate our needs. Their online ordering system was quick and easy to put an order in. Day of the breakfast They showed up right on time at 7am. The delivery guy was super nice. And then the food was REALLY good! WE ordered their breakfast taco buffet. Everything was super flavorful, the sauces and guacamole were delicious. I highly recommend. Thanks Early Bird Tacos!“

“So good! I got the pork rice plate to go and took it to Golden gate park to eat it. The milk tea was ok, not sure if it’s the best tea quality but ordered it because I didn’t have water with me. TLDR the food is really good I highly recommend“

“Really excellent coffee experience here, especially if you enjoy specialty coffee. Far and away my favorite spot in SF.
Would recommend giving the coffee flight a shot if you’re interested in a little variety. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable about the rotating list of coffees.
As far as location, this spot on Balboa was my favorite. Give it a shot!“

“Iced matcha was not strong enough, so I will try hot matcha next time. Also iced strawberry matcha is nice. They made my order wrong at first (matcha instead of strawberry matcha) so they gave me the matcha for free—super kind, thanks!
Line is long but fast, and seating may not look available at first but it cleared up for me. Love the vibe and furniture.“

“Kopiku is such a gem if you’re craving real Indonesian coffee flavors! The drinks are bold and rich, whether you go for a classic Pandan Latte. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for hanging out or catching up with friends. I also love that they use authentic beans and sweeteners, so you really feel transported back to Indonesia. Pairing the coffee with their light snacks makes the experience even better. A must-visit spot if you want something different from the usual coffee shop routine!“

“Breakfast burritos are awesome, will return for them.
Weirdly though, there are an abundance of signs on the inside about food from outside and laptops that made me feel unwelcome even though I had neither my laptop nor food from outside with me.“

“I love this cafe so much….plenty of seating (Seating in main cafe, back room for more quiet, and backyard patio). It’s soooo cozy, great to work (plenty of outlets just bring your noise cancelling headsets), catch up with friends, bring kids (bring crayons, scratch paper). Staff is so kind and friendly, and you have order coffee, snacks or meals. You can get away from the rain in here or soak up Bay Area sun in the back patio. Good vibes here!“

“As I sit outside waiting for a friend who never arrives due to parking issues, I notice the cafe’s layered lighting. The three barn lights outside, each with three small bulbs. Inside, gooseneck sconces hanging from an undulating black wire across a soffit that has recessed lighting. The cafe’s window reflects the evergreen pear tree; the illusion this creates is as if the sconces are hanging from the tree.
A young Indian woman and her American boyfriend sit next to me; her Hindi accent when she talks to her mom, calling her “mummy”—an influence from the English Raj, indicating love—makes me realize the distance that the mom must sense between the Americanized daughter and her. She puts the boyfriend on the phone and he makes unctuous comments to mom.
They leave and the woman who now sits at the table has a Goldendoodle and a copy of a sufficiently dull book, Connections Over Compliance: Rewiring Our Perceptions of Discipline by Lori L. Desautels.
Is the book critiquing my observational skills?“

$28 for three of us and that included a healthy tip.
Note: plenty of indoor seating too!“

“Great coffee! Friendly staff! I’m happy they are my new neighbors, filling a need in Soma West.“
“Farm to Table (Cup?) coffee with a jungle theme! I love the emphasis on the Costa Rican farm where they source the coffee beans, including photos of the workers during harvesting. It also makes for a really delicious coffee! 🤤 If you don't like an iced Americano with a splash of oat milk like me, I recommend the Manguito mango latte 🥭 It's vegan without honey (still sweet without) since they make it with coconut milk! 🥥 Enjoy either on the comfy living room-esque furniture or take it to nearby Salesforce Park 🌴 I just wish they were open on weekends and sometimes the service can be slow.“

“The bakery is located in a quieter part of Clement Street, and offers a really nice outside patio to try their goods. I had their famous koya toast, and it was good — especially their bread (made in house) that was perfectly toasted. It had a small line that ran pretty fast, and their store and staff are very welcoming.“

“One of my favorite places in the Castro to get coffee. The people are friendly, the selection of beans is wonderful, and the service is superb. They provide a great spot for people to gather, sit and people watch. Castro is lucky to have such thoughtful businesses as this that work hard to provide quality service and make the experience of being there special. I hope they stay around a long time.“

“My mom and I came here when visiting the Legion of Honor, and it's a cozy quiet shop near a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We got a bagel and a daily special - it was only $10 and it was so good! The woman serving was so nice and the service was great. Would recommend if you are looking for a straightforward lunch and coffee spot!“

“Stumbled in here after the farmers market looking for some caffeine and glad we did! The strawberry matcha was delicious and perfectly balanced and the service was great. It’s a little on the pricier side but they do oat milk for free, and I don’t mind paying more for a good quality matcha drink, as they can be so hit or miss. Thanks for a good Sunday experience Pixlcat!“
“Came in on a Saturday morning and stayed for a few hours. Really quiet and enjoyed the ambiance, only a few people coming in and out. Coffee and service was wonderful, just a bit pricey.
My two concerns are, first, cleanliness; windowsills are dirty of spider webs and dead bugs. Looks like they've been there for a LONG time. Second, plants haven't been watered in a long time too.
Overall, great experience.“

“The coffee is incredible. Smoothest lattes I have ever had in my life, and I’ve had many. They don’t use artificial syrups and it makes a world of a difference. But even just the plain lattes are superb. That’s to say nothing about the service and staff, which are a sight to behold. Carlos and the whole team here is incredible. They learn to read your mind and get orders going as soon as you walk in, and they’re always both incredibly thoughtful and efficient. The place is also always clean and comfortable, with plenty of seating and just enough buzz.“

“I don’t often review anything but this place kind of struck a chord. It’s everything I want in a coffee shop and I’d like, maybe a little desperately, for establishments like this to stick around. The classic painted panels of the high walls to the light Italian opera on the stereo, there so much character in every corner of La Cuisine that you can’t help but want to just sit on the orange vinyl benches, watch the steam rise from your cup and ponder anything and everything. I don’t think my opinion matters when it comes to the technicalities of breakfast but everything was hot and fresh. The proprietor was quick and asked if I was satisfied. I was, very much. I guess I just wanted to say thank you La Cuisine for being open on a gray morning in November and giving me that very enjoyable feeling of discovery and one of the more heartwarming cups of coffee I’ve had in a while. I hope to be back.“

“Farley’s has been my favorite neighborhood coffee shop for the last two years! Potrero Hill is always great location whether you need to park or if you are walking there. The coffee shop is dog friendly 🐶 They even have dog treats!
I usually grab a cappuccino or a matcha latte. If you need a strong, smooth cappuccino Farley’s is your place. When it comes to the matcha, they don’t make it too sweet which is nice. There is a hint of sweetness, but it’s so subtle.
Overall, the vibe is great and I would recommend checking it out the next time you are in Potrero!“
