“The coffee here is amazing and it’s a great place to work. They source directly from Columbian farmers and there’s an option to send tips directly to farmers. A latte is $6.50, and they have some interesting syrups you can add on (banana, maple, blueberry, etc.).“

“My husband and I are visiting San Francisco for our anniversary, and we wanted to find a great place for coffee and breakfast. This place is amazing! Coffee and scones are out of this world! The people that work there spent a ton of time with us recommending places to visit and eat. Super clean and amazing hospitality!“

“AMAZING. Loved the service and coffee. I ordered the Sampaguita latte with whole milk and it was the perfect blend of not too sweet, not too bitter, and balanced coffee-milk ratio. I find a lot of lattes to be too light on the espresso but they have nailed it. My latte was fragrant and bright with almost chocolatey notes after the initial floral scent.“

“This place is a cute little neighborhood gem. We were just visiting but we saw several people come in and be recognized by the owner and staff. It has a nice little local vibe. The coffee is good and the tuna melt is truly the best I've ever had.“

“We ordered tacos for a post-wedding brunch at my parents' house the day after our wedding and they were a hit! The delivery person was prompt and super nice. They set up all the tacos, salsas and left menus that described each taco type. The tacos were all individually wrapped and labeled. It was perfect to have a mix of tacos with meat, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free so there was something for everyone. We had some left over and they have been delicious just heated up in the toaster oven. I highly recommend them for any party or gathering!“

“Really excellent coffee experience here, especially if you enjoy specialty coffee. Far and away my favorite spot in SF.
Would recommend giving the coffee flight a shot if you’re interested in a little variety. Baristas are super friendly and knowledgeable about the rotating list of coffees.
As far as location, this spot on Balboa was my favorite. Give it a shot!“

“Came by for a hot chocolate and loved the ambience here! The piano was closed (didn't ask if could be played), but there different sits, tables and what nots. Great spot to chill a little and enjoy a hot beverage. Seems like they also do piano classes. I Also learned they have Bingsu (Korean shaved ice desserts), but didn't get a chance to try.“

“Kopiku is such a gem if you’re craving real Indonesian coffee flavors! The drinks are bold and rich, whether you go for a classic Pandan Latte. The vibe is relaxed and welcoming, making it perfect for hanging out or catching up with friends. I also love that they use authentic beans and sweeteners, so you really feel transported back to Indonesia. Pairing the coffee with their light snacks makes the experience even better. A must-visit spot if you want something different from the usual coffee shop routine!“

“Ordered Crunch Combo and Lemongrass beef sandwiches. Cut them in half and shared half a sandwich each with a friend at Marina Green.
Crunch has a thin veneer of delicious pate on the bottom bread. Bread was crispy on top and soft throughout which was easy to chew. Sometimes Banh mi bread makes my jaw ache from excessive chewing. The bread they use is fantastic.
The only gripe is that there was a mouthful of gristle in my lemongrass beef, but otherwise, the sandwiches were delicious and composed well.
I’ll definitely come back. Forget the others. So far, it’s my favorite/the best Banh mi I’ve tried in San Francisco.“

“I really enjoyed my Friday morning visit around 10 a.m. There was about a 5-minute wait, a short line, and all the chairs were taken, lots of people standing around and the space was loud and crowded. I was meeting a friend, and even in the bustle we were able to have a wonderful conversation. By about 10:30, the crowd thinned out, and we found a table to enjoy not just our conversation but also some delicious coffee.
She ordered a flat white and loved it, saying it had a caramel-like taste. I had the Tahitian vanilla latte with oat milk (so good!) and an avocado toast. Next time, I’ll definitely order the avocado toast with an egg and try the miso latte the barista recommended.
The café has seating for maybe 15–20 people, either individually or paired up. Overall, a great spot, I’ll definitely be back!“

“An incredible gem of the city. It doesn’t matter what you pick from the menu, everything is thoughtfully prepared and delicious. The black bean and cheese pupusas are a favorite. It is absurd that this place doesn’t have closer to 5/5 star rating. An amazing place.“

“We were in the neighborhood and looking for coffee. We were pleasantly surprised by this cute little cafe. We got the cappucino and the Flat White, both were really good! There was decent amount of seating inside and outside but it was fairly crowded even though we went around closing time.“

“Farm to Table (Cup?) coffee with a jungle theme! I love the emphasis on the Costa Rican farm where they source the coffee beans, including photos of the workers during harvesting. It also makes for a really delicious coffee! 🤤 If you don't like an iced Americano with a splash of oat milk like me, I recommend the Manguito mango latte 🥭 It's vegan without honey (still sweet without) since they make it with coconut milk! 🥥 Enjoy either on the comfy living room-esque furniture or take it to nearby Salesforce Park 🌴 I just wish they were open on weekends and sometimes the service can be slow.“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“I LOVE LOVE LOVE breadbelly. It’s has the BEST matcha lattes in the city in my opinion, even better than some of the matcha I had in Japan, which is A LOT. I have been trying to find a matcha that tops this place and very few places come close. I want to gatekeep this place so much and for as long as I can but it’s becoming increasingly popular these days. So expect long lines on weekends.
I’m just sad I can’t go everyday because it’s so far out in Richmond. Yes the prices are pricey ($8+ for matcha) and yes they charge an employee mandate fee. But it’s worth it. I also love their Kaya toast and bun. Their rotating seasonal drinks are great too. 10/10“

“Extremely friendly, amazing sandwiches! Plus they have a small market with all kinds of things you would need for your kitchen. They were so welcoming. It was awesome to watch all of the customers walk in and talk to the workers by name. It was very obvious they are part of this community and great people.“

“One of my favorite places in the Castro to get coffee. The people are friendly, the selection of beans is wonderful, and the service is superb. They provide a great spot for people to gather, sit and people watch. Castro is lucky to have such thoughtful businesses as this that work hard to provide quality service and make the experience of being there special. I hope they stay around a long time.“
“First, their espresso and matcha drinks are fantastic. Second, the humans that operate Hedge are down-to-earth, thoughtful, kind, and friendly. And that feeling permeates through everything from the quirky-yet-cozy outdoor seating, to the way they take care of you when you visit. They're authentic people and they genuinely want you to enjoy your beverage and your visit -- and they're great at helping you do both! A lovely place to be, even if only for the time it takes to say hey and pickup a cup of Joe. Shout-outs to Olga, Alex, Kyle, Wei Ling, Billy, and the friends I haven't yet met! P.S. Delicious pastries too!!“

“Stumbled in here after the farmers market looking for some caffeine and glad we did! The strawberry matcha was delicious and perfectly balanced and the service was great. It’s a little on the pricier side but they do oat milk for free, and I don’t mind paying more for a good quality matcha drink, as they can be so hit or miss. Thanks for a good Sunday experience Pixlcat!“

“My mom and I came here when visiting the Legion of Honor, and it's a cozy quiet shop near a beautiful view of the Golden Gate Bridge. We got a bagel and a daily special - it was only $10 and it was so good! The woman serving was so nice and the service was great. Would recommend if you are looking for a straightforward lunch and coffee spot!“

“I don’t often review anything but this place kind of struck a chord. It’s everything I want in a coffee shop and I’d like, maybe a little desperately, for establishments like this to stick around. The classic painted panels of the high walls to the light Italian opera on the stereo, there so much character in every corner of La Cuisine that you can’t help but want to just sit on the orange vinyl benches, watch the steam rise from your cup and ponder anything and everything. I don’t think my opinion matters when it comes to the technicalities of breakfast but everything was hot and fresh. The proprietor was quick and asked if I was satisfied. I was, very much. I guess I just wanted to say thank you La Cuisine for being open on a gray morning in November and giving me that very enjoyable feeling of discovery and one of the more heartwarming cups of coffee I’ve had in a while. I hope to be back.“
