“I really enjoyed my Friday morning visit around 10 a.m. There was about a 5-minute wait, a short line, and all the chairs were taken, lots of people standing around and the space was loud and crowded. I was meeting a friend, and even in the bustle we were able to have a wonderful conversation. By about 10:30, the crowd thinned out, and we found a table to enjoy not just our conversation but also some delicious coffee.

She ordered a flat white and loved it, saying it had a caramel-like taste. I had the Tahitian vanilla latte with oat milk (so good!) and an avocado toast. Next time, I’ll definitely order the avocado toast with an egg and try the miso latte the barista recommended.

The café has seating for maybe 15–20 people, either individually or paired up. Overall, a great spot, I’ll definitely be back!“

“i'm Vietnamese and this is one of the BEST spots for traditional banh mi in the city. Ingredients are fresh, banh mi is crispy and flaky goodness when you bite in and great balance in flavors. I wish this was on delivery apps because I would order it every week LOL“

They have some limited seating outside, which is also always occupied. Overall, it's a good spot to sit and soak up san francisco vibes! “We’ve got two pour over - Ethiopia and Rwanda. Both had a slightly acidic taste and delicious! The pastry, cinnamon bun, was so good. Soft and not overly sweet. Very tasty. It felt like European-style bread. Despite only two seats available, we still enjoyed our coffee on site. Staff was very friendly.“

“A very cozy place in the financial district. Even though we went on a weekend, there were still a lot of people working there. Their pour over coffee is reasonably priced and they also provide coffee beans in the shop. I like the paintings they have inside. The coffee also comes with a postcard telling us where the coffee beans come from and the history, which I think is very nice. If you like coffee, I recommend giving this place a try.“

“It’s a great little escape from the hustle and bustle of Castro street, just around the corner. I originally tried it as a “Too Good To Go” bargain but I knew this would be a place to bring out of town guests. And I did. And they loved it! The mugs are artsy and the setting is very coffee shop chic. But they are surpassed by the incredible coffee drinks and pastries. I had an oat milk cappuccino that was made to perfection. The three of us ordered different pastries so we could get a sampling of each. EVERYTHING IS GREAT! The pastries are made fresh every day, no day-old stuff served here. Service was great, too. Your best bet is to go for their savory treats like the little meat pies. They have won me as a customer and I will continue to bring guests here before exploring the city.“

I had a small hot chocolate with light sweetness and it met my expectations. The employees were so delightful, and I’m happy to see Philz support the people of the Castro district and its pride culture. It’s a really warm and welcoming place to grab a drink. Overall, 4/5.“

“Costa Rican coffee can't be beat! This place is awesome. Be forewarned, they don't have "drip" ready to go. You can get an espresso drink, you can get cold brew (if you're in a rush) but it's best to allow a few minutes and let them do you a fresh, made to order pour over.
