“I had to stop by Royal Donut Cafe because of all of the great reviews I saw on Yelp! And I must say that I wasn't disappointed at all! The staff was awesome! From the cashier, to the cooks, and the server. And I even got a chance to meet the owner, Terri, who has taken over the business for the past 15 years! Definitely going to be a regular here! I ordered the vegetarian omelet! 😋“

“Must try 🍽️
Berry French Toast ( Best ) 🍓
It had a chocolate filling ( tastes like Cadbury dairy milk), perfectly cooked, not too sweet and covered w strawberries.
Tomato mozzarella sandwich
Fresh , the bread was a little hard but the flavor made up for it!!
Comes with a side salad!!
Overall, the place was chill and cute. Perfect spot for a brunch. The food is a win. Totally recommend it to anyone who loves healthy drinks and yum food.“

“The veggie frittata sandwich on gluten free waffle bread was excellent. Small and a little pricey at $14. Lattes are $7. Habibi one was great.
In a business park but nice. No parking. Clean. Long wait to order at 8 am, 15 minutes then wait for food. tho it didn’t seem that crowded. Staff seemed busy and focused on tasks, not especially friendly. Flat affect from all of them. Not sure why. But still tasted good!“

“Fiero Cafe is truly a hidden gem in San Mateo! From the moment you walk in, you can feel the passion and authenticity behind everything they do. Filippo Guarino, the owner, pours his heart into every dish, and it shows. His handcrafted Italian food is nothing short of extraordinary, fresh ingredients, rich flavors, and the kind of attention to detail you only find in true Italian cooking.
I tried the catzo sandwich, and it was fantastic, perfectly balanced and absolutely delicious. On top of the food, Filippo makes you feel like family, welcoming you with warmth and genuine hospitality.
If you’re looking for an authentic Italian dining experience in the Bay Area, Fiero Cafe is a must. Do yourself a favor and go, you’ll leave planning your next visit before you even walk out the door.“

“La Joya offers a truly unique flavor experience. The tortillas are made from corn, giving them that authentic, homemade touch. The meat is wonderfully seasoned, very tender, and absolutely delicious. I especially recommend the carne asada quesadillas they’re definitely the star of the show. In short, it’s an experience well worth trying.
I want to highlight the excellent customer service. The attention, kindness, and commitment make the difference. Without a doubt, an experience worth repeating.“

“I’m a huge fan of dirty chai lattes and I’m always searching for who has the best. The dirty chai at Antigua is definitely near the top of the list for me. Not too sweet and not too spicy which is the way I like them. Will def be back for the chai. Pastries were also delicious. Haven’t tried the food yet but looks like it would be amazing.“

“Great small family owned and run bagel cafe. The bagels are fresh as can be, have a large variety and are reasonably price. They are the best and freshest bagels on the Peninsula. My wife and I love the lox cream cheese combo bagel. They don’t skimp on cream cheese, unlike Noah’s, served warm with great smells of the topping. Very nice outdoor patio to enjoy your brunch. They also have a variety of meat bagel sandwiches to choose from Al top notch and carefully made.“

“I have been here many times mainly when I am craving for a doughnut or when I am in the area where I am in need of a quick bite. They have a wide selection of fresh doughnuts made daily, sandwiches, coffee, refrigerated drinks and much more. The staffs here are very welcoming, well trained and understanding where I never had encountered an issue during any of my visits. You can dine in at one of their tables or simply purchase for takeout if you decide to. I have to say this place is a plus, because there are little to none doughnut shops within the area. I highly recommend this place to all doughnut enthusiasts, if you need a quick snack for the morning of if you just so happen to be in the area. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.“

“OMG these are the cutest! My favorite is the Mango passion fruit eclair, one time I got it with the filling still frozen inside and it’s seriously even better 😆 I wish we can have that option haha! Anyway best wishes and thanks for the pleasant experience as usual.“
“Stoped by for a fresh breakfast to start the day. I was promptly greeted and helped to order an omelette. I dined in and enjoyed the breakfast. It’s nice to be able to get freshly prepared food close to the hotel to start the day out. I’m looking forward to trying out lunch next time in town.“

From the delightful staff, delectable food, to the charming atmosphere, it's a complete package!Plus, their mimosas are unparalleled, even for someone like me who doesn't usually indulge. I've been a loyal patron since day one, and my go-to dish has to be their breakfast tacos! ?“

“I really enjoyed my Friday morning visit around 10 a.m. There was about a 5-minute wait, a short line, and all the chairs were taken, lots of people standing around and the space was loud and crowded. I was meeting a friend, and even in the bustle we were able to have a wonderful conversation. By about 10:30, the crowd thinned out, and we found a table to enjoy not just our conversation but also some delicious coffee.
She ordered a flat white and loved it, saying it had a caramel-like taste. I had the Tahitian vanilla latte with oat milk (so good!) and an avocado toast. Next time, I’ll definitely order the avocado toast with an egg and try the miso latte the barista recommended.
The café has seating for maybe 15–20 people, either individually or paired up. Overall, a great spot, I’ll definitely be back!“

“I missed the drop off day for donating for the animals in need. Stopped by there this morning with a donation. Loved the greeting with a smile that I received when I walked in by the young man behind the counter. he was totally surprised when I handed him an envelope and explained that I had missed the drop off date. Now I know why this Cafe receives 5 stars, very friendly atmosphere. I will be back!!“

“I got a Salame Sandwich and small Mexican hot chocolate which I thought was good. I think the sitting area is decent but small with mainly bar stools. Luckily, the place wasn't crowded so sitting on the round table in the middle didn't feel squishy“

“Corner shop with a tight, tasty menu. I had the breakfast burrito with chorizo and it took me back to a simpler time. My buddy switches between that and bacon because they are both so good.

“I am really pleased that I stopped at The Baker Next Door. They offer a nice variety - from pastries, to bread, coffee and other beverages, to sandwiches and toasts. I had the avocado toast, along with matcha tea. The toast was delicious, generous in size, and accompanied by a very fresh looking and tasting salad. The matcha tea was very good. I got some bread and look forward to returning for pastries in the future. Nice amount of tables inside. Additional seating on the sidewalk. The only thing I wish they would add is internet access, since it is a good place to sit down with a computer!“

“Had Breakfast here during our stay in San Mateo. Our Hotel was nearby and didn't serve breakfast, after a quick search, decided to check out this place. Glad we did, great Coffee and Food. This was the first place we visited during our trip to San Francisco. It's located in an Office Building, lots of parking. What we loved too was how everyone here knew each other. Staff were very warm and friendly. Will definitely visit again.“

“Nice Brazilian Café. The juices are great.
Insane parking situation. Four spots right outside otherwise you have to make a 2 mile, 10 min detour/U-turn to the parking lot on Randolph Ave. No parking on a Tuesday afternoon so I imagine the weekends are even worse.“

“A little off the beaten path, but the journey is worth it. Jo-Anns is one of those local gems with fresh, quickly prepared foods, seasonal specials (I wish I'd ordered the pumpkin pancakes but my diet held me to the Neapolitan eggs). Free refills on coffee and a relaxed atmosphere made this the perfect place to hide from the rain while I waited for my time to head to the airport. Delicious and the staff are so friendly!“

“The food was incredible and they had such a nice staff. I got an iced chai and by far one of the best I’ve had. Then for the service I had ordered sausages and noticed they didn’t come for a while. After I mentioned it they immediately made new ones and even gave me a free cookie even though I didn’t expect anything. Great service!
Atmosphere is also really nice. Very nice in doors and beautiful outdoor seating“

“Their thing is that they make their own boba from scratch here. It’s a bit different (their boba is clear and not black) and amazing
The tea was balanced and flavorful and you can customize your sweetness. Just make sure you taste test it before you leave. Some drinks are sweeter than you think while others are not.“

“This place is pretty small but cute. There are not that many seats inside, and most people seem to be taking food to go. I got the tonkatsu quesadilla for $12 and it was essentially cabbage, corn, and tonkatsu, and cheese inside a tortilla(?) shell. It was an interesting item, but tasted pretty good.“
