Tucked between all the bougie Erewhon spots and fancy bakeries, it’s refreshing to have an affordable sandwich place without any of the pretentious vibe, and I love bringing my kids here for a quick bite without feeling like my wallet took a hit. Savanah and Bryce were genuinely friendly and went out of their way to help us out by modifying my daughter’s sandwich even after it was already bagged up, which is usually where you get pushback, but they made it easy with zero attitude and even offered samples of a few sauces without a single dirty look. They’re the kind of employees who make people want to come back, they represent the company well, and the owner is lucky to have them on the team.“

The people behind the counter are really friendly and helpful. I ended up ordering a #7 pork sandwich. It was really good. What impressed me the most and stood out was the fresh vegetables in the sandwich. They were crisp and refreshing with every bite. I really enjoyed this sandwich!

“I have been looking for quinoa all over LA. This place serves it and it is very good. The mix has just the right amount of dried sweet cranberries and a few chickpeas. It was perfect. I had a salad with tuna avocado and egg salad. I was able to sub the egg salad for tuna which was very nice of them. They gave me a fork full of a mayonnaise free tuna they had prepared on the way out which again was a great experience. This is the kind of place that you feel cares and you'd want to keep going back to. A+++“

“The description of Ike's to me made it sound like Fat Sal's and I was excited. Truth of the matter is Ike's holds its own, and it didn't disappoint. It has a great menu mixed with Meat and Veggie options. The Mrs. and I split and highly recommend the Captain Carl and the Meatless Mike (I concur "best vegan meatball in America", and Our 3 y/o gives the grilled cheese 👍👍. Our 9y/o swears it was the best grilled cheese she ever had.“

“Overall great bang for buck. The bahn mi are huge and delicious. Bread is fresh and not too crunchy.

Downsides are the service is very unorganized. The ladies behind the counters are yelling and handing out special call in orders. Also, they have a secret menu thats not displayed anywhere. My order was forgotten and the order was wrong when I eventually got it. Also, the atmosphere isn't very welcoming. Its loud, hot, Dirty tables and floors. Its just a good fast food take out type place.

I'll still be back to try other things but definitely won't be eating it there.“

“I’ve been eating subs from My Hero since 1972! THE best subs I’ve eaten, ever. Moved through the years, and always went to My Hero’s when within 5 hours by car to where I was staying! The high quality of their food has never waivered! The buns are soft, yet chewy! The tomato salad in each sandwich is always fresh! Plus they give a generous portion of the protein! My favorite has always been pastrami! Lean and tasty, everytime! The staff is welcoming and genuinely happy you are there! I’ll be going in a week as I pass through the area! Not only were all of the employees so welcoming, friendly, and in great moods, but they were amazing sandwich makers! Again, because I had not been here in years, I had some questions about available breads, new sauces, and new sandwiches. They had patience, accommodated every question or concern I had, and left me extremely satisfied with my experience. Dislocation is not the closest to my home, but I would definitely travel out of my way just to go back.“
