“I have been to many subways across the United States, and this one is by far the best! I stopped by this place with my family today and we were immediately greeted by 2 friendly men at the counter. Each sandwich we ordered was made perfectly and with care. Unlike some subways that are unnecessarily stingy with toppings, this place gives great portions. The ingredients were also fresh and the meat/bread wasn't burnt or tough. The location was very clean so we were able to comfortably eat there before continuing on our journey. I've been to other subways where I would not go back, but I would 100% come back here and would recommend it to others! I enjoyed every bite of my sandwich.“

“Ike's has the best vegetarian subs around! Well, from what I've tried anyway. Few months back I tried their Freddy Krueger sandwich (not vegetarian) on their dutch crunch and it was great. The dutch crunch is delicious. I also tried their James and the giant peach recently and it'll be my go-to anytime I visit for sure! All the ingredients come together perfectly and the vegan fried chicken is good too! Their sandwiches come with a candy (caramel apple lollipops) and as someone with a sweet tooth, I love it. Service was good and my sandwich came out in a timely manner. It's a great place to grab a bite after running errands in the plaza.“

“I ordered the grilled pork sandwich and it came out in less than 5 minutes. They put in a pretty generous amount of pork and pickled veggies, and the bread had a nice, crispy crust. The pork was a little too peppery for me but otherwise well marinated. I managed to find free street parking in the front and was able to grab and go quickly.“

“I grew up here in the West Valley and have passed this place so many times. I have always been curious to try it since it's a shop that's been on Ventura Blvd for like 20 years. After a friend told me that this used to be her go-to lunch stop, I decided to give it a try. The parking is pretty great given its location. There's a parking structure that is fee free, and there is a side entrance to the shop so you don't have to walk all the way around back to the front street entrance. The cafe its self is has a NYC sub shop vibe to it. I enjoyed the friendliness of the staff. At my first visit, the shop owner was there helping me decide between sandwiches. The one thing that bummed me out was that they didn't have some of the items I wanted like Swiss cheese and the banana pudding. The owner stated she was out of Swiss for the day and that she hadn't made any pudding. However, I wasn't too upset cause I appreciate a restaurant that uses fresh ingredients! The sub itself, I ordered their Turkey Ham & Cheese, was pretty good! The pickles are house made and are delicious! The only things I didn't like were first, the pickle spear the comes with the sub was way too wet when she plated it with my sub. By the time I finished the first half of my sandwich, the bread of second half was soggy. Secondly, I do not like how they chop their ingredients. I prefer sliced tomatoes and onions and this place uses diced tomatoes and onions. Nevertheless, those are very minor preferences that I had. I still enjoyed the dry half of my sub and have been back a few more times since.“

“Amazing food phenomenal service. The owners went above and beyond in assisting with catering an event. Guest kept commenting how tasty everything was especially the sauce. Again can't say enough about how thoughtful and thorough the owners were. Even when he went out of his way to help us with a mess up.“

“I've dined here a number of times especially when I worked in Agoura Hills. Urbane Cafe is my favorite place for healthy eating during lunch and dinner hours. I usually order the salads, but they have a great selection of soups and sandwiches, the sandwiches made with freshly baked focaccia bread. The bread is served with all meals. Recently had the Keto Cobb Salad with chicken and it was superb served with a blue cheese dressing. Plenty of good seating here, service is timely and overall ambiance is welcoming. There is a kids cafe and a nice vegetarian menu. Highly recommend the Urbane Cafe.“

“The biggest and best chicken tostada you will find anywhere! Baja salad is great with all the colored tortilla chips. Tuna roll, French toast, beef dip, Rueben, Pastrami, Denver omelette, All delicious meals I have had here that were great. Oh yeah, Hamburger with mushrooms, swiss cheese, bacon and tomato with crispy fries! I love this place! Carlos has worked hard to keep this place going with great tasting food. I have been coming here for 20 years and have never had a bad meal. Places like this that have fresh cooked food are hard to come by. I hope God blesses this restaurant with more business. Between a truck smashing into his building causing him to close for almost a year, then the pandemic, then a lot of local businesses closing he has kept working hard with his employees to keep the doors open. You have to try this place out for yourselves. You will be glad you did.“

“I received the ultimate steak pocket. The ingredients are wonderful, but you need a fork to finish it because it was oversalted (which the friendly owner verified and offered to correct), and it was crumbling at the end. The portion and price are both reasonable. For now, I'll give it four stars.“

The service is always professional, but Annie takes the cake, she is very friendly and really makes everyone that comes in welcome. It's always a pleasure to see her behind the register. “I’ve been meaning to review this place for a WHILE. The only reason I didn’t get around to it sooner is because I was always so excited to eat my sandwich that I forgot to take a picture of it. Any sandwich here will be one of if not the best sub sandwich you’ll ever have and are all elevated to the next level with their Italian dressing that you HAVE TO get extra of. The sandwich in the picture is the Pandoras Box, and it’s fantastic, but the Hula Girl, Sweet Caroline, Captain Morgan, Endless Summer or just a traditional sub (I recommend the #6) are all amazing choices you will never be disappointed by. Also all the staff are super friendly. They even recognize my dad and I whenever we go. Easily the best sandwich’s in LA.Parking: It’s parking on Ventura, so it’s sucks, but you can usually find a spot.“

“I've been coming here for so long. This might be the best Vietnamese Sandwich shop in town. It's authentic Vietnamese for sure. They also bake their bread in-house and I've overhead other customers raving about it, sometimes coming in just to buy the bread! Also, try their Vietnamese coffee with your sandwich! I love that they sell other items at the counter in addition to their sandwiches; banh gio, cha lua, banh bot loc, just to name a few. In gacy, I'm craving their food as I'm writing this review! There is indoor seating available, parking is limited but it seems like most customers get their food to go so parking doesn't seem to be an issue.“

“This place is absolutely AMAZING! They have, hands down, some of *the* best turkey sandwiches in the country. It’s like Thanksgiving dinner, in a roll, year round. Staff is warm, attentive and very professional. The atmosphere is pretty good as well. The music is loud enough for you to hear it, but low enough to be able to have a conversation with your family and friends without having to scream. Also, it’s “clean” music (no cursing), so it’s a pretty decent place to bring young kids. The establishment seems clean and well kept. I highly recommend their gravy. Dunking your Bobbie in it before taking a night bite is life changing.“

“I've been coming here for 28 years. I love their sandwich and I'm glad they are continuing the same menu. The place is small and outdated but very clean. My go to sandwich is the foot long pastrami which is big and filling. I've recently tried their meatball sandwich, also very good. Love this place, must try.“

“I went here last night with a friend. I started with minimal expectations as it had a standard sterile sandwich shop ambiance. It was clean though. We ordered at the counter and they delivered the finished sandwiches to our table. But the first bite of my sandwich (a Buenos Aires) told me this place is very good! Steak, grilled mushrooms, peppers, cheese and chimichurri sauce on a telera roll--absolutely delicious! It came with freshly prepared potato chips that were also very good. My friend ordered a Health Nut sandwich with a side order of French fries. She was very happy with it, but then she has been getting sandwiches delivered from The Carving Board for a long time. This is a great sandwich place! My one suggestion? Get better signage so that the drivers on busy Ventura Boulevard can see that you are there!“
