“This hidden jem will not disappoint. The food is on point and deliciously fresh and tantalizing! They have a menu that fits every type of eater, including vegetarian selections and healthy tidbits. For those who love to indulge, mouth waters glasses of ice-cold milk shakes dipped in chocolate await you, with leftovers in the container and a spoon! There are waffles with maple syrup, Hawaiian pineapple chicken sandwiches, Serrano peppers mixed in with scrambled eggs, and kids menu items that can feed two very hungry preschools from a single plate. I always have leftovers. And to top it off, the prices are pretty reasonable, especially for the huge portion sizes. Each is well heated and ventilated. Or you can snuggle inside in a booth or at a table with friends. You will find plenty of staff who check in on you, and are constantly on the move, providing exceptional, high quality customer service. It's a pleasant atmosphere for families, friends or individuals. You can even find a seat at the counter and watch the food service in action. we got chow mien, green curry chicken, tom kha soup, beef salad. portions were large, with plenty of veggies and meat. tom kha and beef salad were rich, good tasting but too sweet. curry was ordered spiciness level 3, which was barely spicy. very rich and good tasting. service was fine, nothing great but not horrible. decor is pretty good. place was very popular on a Friday night. We would go back, possibly ordering food slightly more spicy and seeing if they could either A) make things less sweet or B) try other dishes that are less sweet.

Regarding price, entrees are $18-$30 (e.g. chicken curry is $22 or $23). So on the pricy side for a Thai place, but you do get more food which partially offsets it.“

“Back when I worked and lived in Camarillo, I would come over to Peking Inn all the time for their lunch special. I’ve vividly remember how friendly they were, and how flavorful the food was. The lunch special prices were reasonable too.

We were visiting a few of our friends that own store in the same shopping center, so decided what the heck let’s pop in and do the lunch special like old times.

Just as remembered, the restaurant had the same 90s decor and friendly folks there to greet you at the door. And based on the clientele already seated, you could tell this is still very much a locals favorite restaurant.

They also take a traditional approach towards what they offer. We went to wash up before eating, then came back to find T, water, and fried wonton strips with dipping sauce.

A few minutes later, our super friendly server came over and asked if we had any questions. We had a late breakfast, so decided just to order a couple of soups. Everything was delicious as remembered and again, stellar service from the staff.

The only thing we were a little surprised to see was the prices on the menu. Most Chinese restaurants that we frequent Ventura County have lunch specials ranging between $12 and $14 per plate. the average lunch special here was about $16 per plate. And like other lunch specials, it comes with soup and such as well. We were just surprised to see dinner prices for lunch specials.

Great service, good food, and nice atmosphere always make up for a successful restaurant. Peking Inn hits all of these and makes it no wonder that they have been in business all these years now.“

“This place may be a little hard to find ... it is inside the convenience store. And it is not a restaurant, it basically counter service with a few tables & chair outside. And you can't drink alcohol from the convenience store outside. However, the food is very good and the counter service is great. It is worth giving a try for take-out. I actually had a group of 12 friends show up and we took up every chair/table outside, but it was great to be eating outside, just relaxing.“

“As a frequent customer I had my first disappointing meal here. Rice and beans were really dry and the whole #10 combo was only warm in temperature. This is not the norm and had I not been seated against the wall between people I would have gone up to the counter for a re-do. I’m kicking myself for not doing that because my leftovers were better after I heated them up later in the day.“

Order was complete within 10 minutes, very quick service, no one was inside so made it great. I ordered a Philly cheesesteak and count of 8 wings in a sweet and tangy sauce. Honestly, I was shook away when the bread was homemade, sandwich was amazing! The wings I got normal but you are able to get them well done. So happy I found this place and will definitely be coming back here.“

The atmosphere isn't really their fault, it's a standard restaurant box in a strip mall. There's only so much you can do with that.

Wheelchair accessibility: Navigable ramps, double doors, and wheelchair available tables in place. It wouldn't be a bad idea to call in advance so they can steer more mobile customers to other seating options.“
