“THE REAL DEAL!!Been coming here for well over 15 years. The food is unlike anything else in the area. It’s authentic, well made and fresh.The pho: the broth is seriously intense. Full of flavor and richness without being over seasoned.My favorite dish is the #40 broken rice with charbroiled chicken and beef. It’s by far one of the best meals that I enjoy over and over.Jimmy, and the rest of the wonderful staff are always ready to give recommendations or guide in the right direction if Vietnamese food is new for you. I suggest venturing out and trying something new, everything here is wonderful so you won’t leave disappointed.“

“There are new owners here. We loved the old owners, the new owners are really wonderful. Our meals are always consistently GREAT!! They are so accommodating to my gluten allergy, they make sure to make me things I can eat. Their homemade tamales are the BEST I have ever had. Seafood enchiladas, outstanding. Desserts, WOW, Flan and cheesecake is what I have had. Flan is really EXCELLENT. All dessert is homemade. The food here is all fresh and homemade. Not prepackaged. The owners treat us as family and value us as customers. We get OUTSTANDING service every time we go. They remember us and our dietary needs. It's a cute little restaurant that has really great food and service.“

“Have you tried hot pot before?If so, this is a great place to settle any cravings. If not, still a great place to try it for the first time.I gave it a 4 star because I’m very used to control the temperature and add more ingredients as I eat. I’m aware I’m comparing it to other experiences and restaurants I have had. So, I’ll keep it simple, the ingredients, broth and the menu overall was amazing. The menu has variety but I only went to try their hot pot which didn’t disappoint until the shrimp. I’m very picky with shrimp and I would not order it again, it had a non shrimp particular taste and disolved oddly. No idea what was that caused it but don’t want to find out.I will be going back to try different hot pots specially their broths.I ordered the Veggie broth and their Ragin special hot pot. You can see it in the menu I have attached in the pics.The fire is limited as it’ll blow out by itself after 10-15 min and the food and broth will start to cool down. I had an extra plate to pull my food out while the rest kept cooking and it was helpful. “This restaurant has the best food around. There are so many choices. My husband has tried all the meat sandwiches and I have tried all the vegetarian ones. The soups are excellent also. It is always busy with military people from the base across the street.“

“The customer service for this place was pretty incredible, me and my phomie were sitting in the place a little iffy on the price of everything and were debating on leaving once confusion had came into the process of ordering food, but one of the ladies broke it down and was very welcoming making us want to stay. “Tried it for the first time last week, had the spicy beef noodle soup with knife-cut noodles and the soup dumplings. My friend had the spinach ramen noodles in miso broth. I would say overall the food is pretty good. The spicy beef noodle soup was not very spicy and the noodles seemed a bit dry. But I took home my leftovers, added some red pepper and by that time the noodles had soaked in more of the broth and were plumper and chewier, so it was good. The soup dumplings were good though you have to ask for all the condiments (vinegar, ginger, chili oil) as they only had soy sauce out on the counter. I will be back to try their other items. Since it is hard to find these more regional types of Chinese food here in Ventura County, I would say it's a good place among what's offered here. Not as good as those in San Gabriel Valley or even South Bay areas of L.A., but for Ventura County, this would be one of my go-to places for soup dumplings and handmade noodles.“

“Went on a Saturday around 4:30 and it wasn’t too busy, plenty of indoor & outdoor seating. I personally love the impossible burger with everything on it and a side of fries. So good! The spring rolls were almost too beautiful to eat but I'm very glad I did, outstandingly fresh. My yum woo sen was incredible, I was so full but I couldn't stop eating it! I tried my friends hot and sour soup, so perfectly balanced. I told the owner that I like things incredibly spicy, she brought me over Thai fire sauce that she makes, I will be buying this in bulk when she bottles it. It's small and quaint but I think it's perfect size to keep the attention on authenticity, service and quality. I will frequent often.“

I will recommend making a reservation if you have a larger party, as our party of 10 had to wait about an hour and a half because it was Mother's Day. “This hidden jem will not disappoint. The food is on point and deliciously fresh and tantalizing! They have a menu that fits every type of eater, including vegetarian selections and healthy tidbits. For those who love to indulge, mouth waters glasses of ice-cold milk shakes dipped in chocolate await you, with leftovers in the container and a spoon! There are waffles with maple syrup, Hawaiian pineapple chicken sandwiches, Serrano peppers mixed in with scrambled eggs, and kids menu items that can feed two very hungry preschools from a single plate. I always have leftovers. And to top it off, the prices are pretty reasonable, especially for the huge portion sizes. When you pull up, you may notice that the lines may be long, but don't let that hijack your food craving. Stop the car and come on in! They have a fast system, and it works like clock work. I don't know if it's because they are located at the airport where people traditionally need fast service? Or if they carry on the excellence, always model from it being an early military insulation moons and moons ago! But it works! You place your order before you're even seated and pay right away. “One of the best vegan spots to exist ever. The green, blue, white V for international vegan pride flag greets you as you walk in. Plenty of beautiful mosaic tiled seating inside and also outside with a grassy area for the kids and pups. Appreciate the photos of top dishes, all 100% vegan, and with some gluten free options such as corn tortillas. We love love loved the homey deliciousness of our huevos ranchers of Mexican rice, beans, and corn tortilla with vegan eggs and salsa along with our soyrizo breakfast burrito with potatoes, salsa, vegan cheese. Above all, we were happy for the quality and caring customer service from Luis and Lalo who greeted and assisted us with kindness and care. “Amazing authentic Indian Desi food!! The best Indian food I have had so far in California was from here. The chicken korma was creamy spicy and yummy! Finger licking. The lassi was great. Naan and Thali with tandoori chicken was perfect. The naan bread was freshly made. The chicken was of high quality. “Our nephew and his wife took us there today for breakfast. I had the Breakfast Burrito with brisket, and it was sensational! I’ve never cooked a brisket, and Tom kindly showed me two he smoked last night, both beautifully browned and crusty, and ready to be sliced across the grain. My husband had an egg and cheese croissant sandwich, and scarfed it down. We shared a huge glass of delicious orange juice. A breakfast to remember! And we’ll be back! Thanks, Tom and Dalton!“

“My girlfriend and I have been dying to try Indian food. We happen to be passing through Oxnard and came across this Gem of an establishment. Everything we ordered was Mouth watering and cooked to perfection. I kid you not, I've never had anything so flavorful in my life. We started with the chicken samosas and those baby's are one great way to start your journey of flavor here. I should add, the service was just as great. The waiter gives the best insight on what to order and is genuinely kind and attentive through your whole meal. They were so kind that they brought out a dish called navratan korma on the house because they just wanted us to try a little more of their culture on a dish and that alone stood out to me. The ambiance of the restaurant is very cozy and welcoming. With it being close quarters, they give you a sense of attention that is unmatched compare to overwhelmingly large restaurants. With that being said, if you are wondering what to order, you got to try out their butter chicken and their coconut chicken. It's 11pm and I still can't stop thinking about it haha. 10/10 rating in my book, and I have to say this was the perfect place for my first time trying Indian food.“

I constantly meet my friends there. Coffee is good Affogato or however it's spelled is very good! Cookies are also another favorite. I'm not much of a sweet tooth type of person, but 85% of the time I end up getting a cookie. Staff is nice and friendly, great place to bring my wife and daughter to play board games or card games.“

Went with a couple friends and enjoyed nice conversation with the husband and wife owners, and scored a great table on a Saturday night with no advance reservations. We enjoyed an excellent bottle of wine that our friendly server Sarah recommended based on our preference of a full body red. We shared their Cave Salad and mushroom pizza, which were both delicious (and we would order again), although they have a surprisingly varied menu. I look forward to my next visit!“
