Absolutely on top of things, checking on orders, apologizing for any delays, verifying things were correct, and all over the place from behind the counter to helping package and distribute meals - all in a very calm and humble manner. “It’s a cute large space right on Main Street in downtown Ventura. It has inside and outside seating. Along with a salsa bar and a soda machine which makes it easy to get all the fixings you need and make your own Arnold Palmer with the pink lemonade. We were four for lunch and with three fountain drinks and one beer it was $80. Not cheap however fresh and good. Three of us had fish tacos and olive oil had shrimp quesadilla. I wish there was some cilantro and tomato in it however I never asked. I did ask for sour cream and guacamole on side which they did no problem. Overall experience was 4.5 however certainly better than a 4. Sitting outside was a bonus and you can hear them call your number as you must pick up your food. Code needed for restroom. It was a really nice lunch and street is closed for pedestrians which makes sitting outside so pleasantVegetarian options: Without adding meat you can have lots of options and bean proteins too“

My daughter has a restrictive diet due to allergies and being a vegan and they made her a special pasta. When our server learned that it was her birthday recently, he brought out a surprise dessert, and a candle so we could sing to her since we couldn’t be here for her 21st birthday. The bread that is the most delicious bread I’ve had in a restaurant (and look forward to it) was very different (no bad, but nothing like before) the antipasto salad was so overdressed that when we were done it had and inch of dressing on the bottom, I had pasta with clam marinara sauce …… Awful…. It tasted like they opened the can of sauce and dumped it on top of the pasta and they did the same with the clams. It tasted like the metal from the can, no seasoning at all. Needless to say I sent it back and lost my appetite. My husband ordered something Alfredo.. it was in a bath of buttery sauce not pleasant.if you changed recipes…. Please go back to the original one. We will go back.. hopefully it was just a bad day.“

“We celebrated my daughter’s birthday last night at this quaint little French bakery/restaurant. She had a Niçoise salad and I had the seafood crepe. The food, atmosphere, house wine and, most of all the staff, were amazing. The prices are not outrageous and the portions were generous. It is small, but a unique way to spend an evening out. “My only true complaint about this Lazy Dog is that it's not closer to where I live. I love Lazy Dog but there's none in the north 818 so if Ive got a craving, I gotta jump on the 101 and drive up to Oxnard.The staff here is always nothing short of wonderful. They're always friendly, helpful, accommodating for a family with 3 small kids, and in the rare instance that there's a delay in the food coming out or a mistake, they're quick to apologize and make good. It's something I wish other restaurants would do as well. It's not hard to do.Food here is good. It's nothing classy, but it's full of fun, flavorful takes on classic restaurant food. I've had several things here and have never been disappointed. My go to, however, is the PB&J bacon burger. Don't let the PB&J turn you away. It's so good! Perfect blend of sweet & savory. I also want to shout out their beers. They're fantastic. They offer a great beer club subscription that, once again if I lived closer to a location, I would sign up for in a heartbeat. If you live close to this location and like their beers, it seems like a no brainer to me to sign up.“
“Wheelchair accessibility: Nobody in my party was in a wheelchair but I did notice that there are no steps From the parking lot all the way to a table. There's plenty of room to put a wheelchair at a table simply removing one of the restaurants chairs. I don't think a person in a wheelchair would have any difficulty at all.“

I come here quite often and I consistently get A+ service as if I were in a Michelin star restaurant. The food is also consistently very good, in fact the new honey pepper pimento sandwich was probably the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had. “Just tried El Fortin as they had a food booth at the Guelaguetza in downtown Oxnard. The tlayuda was one of the best that I have tasted. The chorizo on it was delicious. My wife and a cousin had a quesadilla with mushrooms and flor de calabasa. It was served on a home made corn tortilla. Simply phenomenal. This will be my go to place for authentic Oaxacan food like my jefita used to make. Staff was very friendly.“
