“What an incredible hidden gem! We were craving Italian food and decided to check out Al Italiano. Walked in on a Tuesday night a little before closing. Eddie and the owner Robert greeted us warmly. The menu has some great options and we were indecisive what to order. Our waiter Eddie is a first class professional and answered all our questions with patience and in details. His recommendations were amazing. We ordered Eggplant Parmesan, Veal Piccata, Children’s cheese pizza, Salumiere pizza and their homemade Tiramisu. Everything was excellent and so tasty. The whole experience at Al Italiano was outstanding and unforgettable. Robert is a great business owner who actually cares and treats you like family. His whole staff is very respectful and helpful. The ambiance is very Italian and welcoming. We found a true gem! Thank you Robert, Eddie and staff! We will be back soon!”

“This place is awesome! I always drive by and had never stopped by until today and I’m so glad we did. The food tastes homemade and there is generous portions and is definitely comfort style.

The food is very tasty and flavorful without feeling heavy or greasy. Quite affordable and there are many fresh options to choose from. It is also a bakery and they provide catering too.

The service was great too. Super friendly staff and they were great at educating us on the dishes since we were not too familiar with Phillipino cuisine. We got quite a bit of food and they were even kind enough to let us try an additional dish!

The pork adobo is excellent, as well as the Tocino. Well actually everything was good! Will definitely be coming back and will be bringing friends.”

Surprised by how big the portions were—definitely worth the price. Orange chicken had good flavor, but the breading wasn’t as fresh as I’d like. Chow mein was a little too soft for my taste, but still had decent flavor.

Staff was polite and service was fast. Place looked clean and food came out hot.

We had spicy boneless chicken kebab plate based on their recommendation - very flavorful, not super spicy, and huge portion, with plenty of leftovers! We also enjoyed the appetizer combo with tzazkiki, falafel, baba ganoush, and dolmeh. Finished off with takeout baklava that I am enjoying right now! And to cap it off, Sylvia overheard my friend mentioning my birthday and treated us to a tiramisu. We only had a forkful each because were too full but I loved it with my morning coffee. There were quite a few pickup orders while we were there! Highly recommend and can't wait to go there again!”

“$8 combo with decent sized portion--chow mein, fried rice and a meat! Can't beat that! No frills restaurants. They don't soak their rice in oil like many Chinese restaurants. Good orange chicken, also saw they have jalapeño chicken and fried banana.

Parking might be tough in this neighborhood but it's free.

“No dine in so I won’t review service and atmosphere. Crab Rangoon was good. Orange chicken was fairly good but some pieces had more orange flavor than others. Black pepper beef had lots of vegetables and would have preferred more beef, flavor was good but could have been more peppery. Xo sauce string beans didn’t have much flavor, but I tasted the sauce in the bottom of the container and it was good so maybe the beans need to marinate more. I’ll try it again tomorrow and see if it tastes better. So, all in all, I’d say the food is kind of average.”

We didn't want to make it hard for them so we just ordered breakfast for dinner and it was delicious! We are picky in our bacon and hashbrowns and want them cooked very crispy. They were the best we ever had! The next day we came back for breakfast for real and pretty much ordered the same thing. Unfortunately it must have been a different cook. Although it was good and plentiful it was not cooked as nicely as the night before. Definitely NOT a deal breaker cause Henri's is really very good and the staff is exceptionall - both visits. We could tell it is a local favorite and that is always a good sign.”

“This pizza is 5 star amazing!!!! The sauce is full of flavor with outrageous blend of spices and thick. The cheese, sauce and meat are of the highest quality. I prefer Chicago Style. I had the Detroit and it was too crunchy. The Chicago is out of this world good. I just had it Friday and am going to order it again tonight Sunday. One piece is enough to fill you up. I e tried a lot of pizzas in my 52 years from all over LA to New York and this is my most favorite by far. They are very generous also if a little late with your piizza. Truly class acts and old school business style. Such an awesome find. You won’t be disappointed I promise!!!!!!”

I’ve tried a lot of barbecue spots across LA, and this is one of the few that truly gets brisket right. The meat is incredibly tender, with a deep, smoky flavor that doesn’t overpower. The bark is seasoned well, slightly crisp, and full of flavor, with just the right amount of fat running through each slice.

Every time I go, I tell myself I’ll try something new, but I always end up ordering the brisket again. I don’t even browse the menu anymore. It hits every time. That level of consistency is rare, and it’s what keeps me coming back. I wish I could comment on the rest of the food, but honestly, I’ve never made it past the brisket. That should tell you something.

The setup inside Topanga Social makes it easy to grab your food and find a spot to hang out. The staff is friendly, the service is quick, and the vibe is casual, but the quality of the food feels like it belongs in a more traditional, dedicated barbecue joint.

If you’re in the area and craving real brisket done right, Slab is absolutely worth a visit. It’s become my go-to BBQ spot in the valley without question.”

“I didn't know what to expect from the previous reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised! I enjoyed what I had. I'd highly recommend the nachos and DEFINITELY get the Birria Grilled Cheese--- oh my gosh it was sooooo dang good. I would get it every time if I could lol. It's in the Topanga Social part, so you can get dessert after too (ice cream, beignet box, etc). I paired my food with a Margarita from the bar there. :)”

“Not sure how people are giving this place bad reviews. I go just for the beef or chicken teriyaki and it is the best place around.. weird i know considering it’s in the mall.

But for price and food quality, it’s very hard to beat.”

“Can't really give the food an honest rating but im going based off of how I received it which was a bit cold since I ordered to go and had a bit of a drive till I could eat it. I'm sure if I ate it there and enjoyed it fresh it would have been a different experience but even tho it was cold I still enjoyed it and it was still satisfying. 👍”
