“We are so fortunate to have this place just a few minutes drive away from home. Food is stunning, pupusas and pollo asado are just great, we always come here for pollo asado and caldo de gallina ? for breakfast they have many options from plátanos fritos, frijoles, carne and always pupusas. This is a authentic Salvi restaurant.“
“The pupusas were delicious, and we also carne asada it was good too, and the ladies are very kind and attentive.Vegetarian options: They have food with no meat that you can find in the menu.Parking: The parking is small so if it’s busy you would not find parking.Wheelchair accessibility: They have handicapped parking and access.“

“Really nice waiter attended us. We came here because loaded cafe had nobody attending guests. It was a cute little typical hispanic place. Restroom is through the kitchen which is pretty unhygienic but whatever. Fresh ingredients and food was flavorful except for the eggs but overall solid. Pupusas were huge but I didn't try them.“
“I've been here twice and have been pleasantly surprised both times. The ambiance is amazing. Clean, neat and happy. The staff on both occasions were superb. Fast and speedy service. On the second visit the place was full and yet the waitress didn't miss a beat. Cool calm and collective. The food is well proportioned and delicious. My hubby always orders either a beef caldo or chicken. He was pleased on both visits. I always stick to different types of breakfasts that are typical to our culture. They didn't disappoint. We will continue to visit this spot. Thank you for such a gem of a place. Blessings to you all.“
“Everything was fresh, hearty, and delicious. We started with the complimentary corn tortillas with black beans. The tortillas were still warm and melted in our mouths! We had the pastelitos de carne which were great, especially with the pickled cabbage heaped on the plate. The fried plantains were INCREDIBLE. So crispy and sweet, served with crema and beans of course. My husband got the pupusa plate (holy crispy cheese edges in the very best way). But my absolute favorite was my dish, pollo con crema. It was perfectly salty and unctuous without being heavy. We also loved the little sweet and spicy tamarind candy that came with the check. Can't wait to go back to try their drool-inducing pastries!“
“I found a diamond in this beautiful family own restaurant. This is a Salvadoran and Mexican style restaurant. First, we ordered the Molcajete completo Cielo Mar y Tierra. Desayuno - and pupusas de Arroz. The restaurant is nice and clean and the food is so delicious. We also got carne guisada. And more pupusas de arroz ( instead of corn we choose rice).By the way, our Server Gladis was super nice friendly and professional. She took our order quickly and look at these large portions.Highly recommend Mi Pueblo Restaurant y Pupuseria. Either with family or friends come and support this local business. Thanks for reading“
“Welcoming staff, clean, very tasty food. I'm a gringa, so no clue what true Salvadoran food SHOULD taste like.... This food was just straight up DELICIOUS!! Better than others I've tried, so I gotta think probably pretty authentic! If you find yourself with a pupusa craving, go for the queso con loroco or quest and beans.... Really enjoyed the food and the ladies working so hard and being so proud to share such yumminess.... brought back a big group of us and it was the same.... Thanks ladies!!“
“This a great place for pupusas.I had both a loroco and a revuelta pupusa. The loroco was very cheesy and had a very nice light veggie taste from the blossoms. The revuelta was full of flavor and not overly salty. The cortiodo had a nice bite to it and a pleasant balance between the herbs and vinegar.I also had a tamale de elote, it tasted very fresh. It came with crema and beans, and was a nice finish to my lunch.I think they make their own tamarindo Agua fresca - it had a nice tartness without being overly sweet.“
“Love this place! Most of the workers don’t speak much English- but they do well with trying to get u what u need…, I’m a big soup person and they make the BEST! Always hearty compared to all other places I’ve been too…. We always go back. Try the cow foot soup or the 7 seas… 2 of my favorites…. Every item I’ve had from them has been great! I highly recommend!!“
“Looking at these bad reviews as I'm sitting in the restaurant eating my order of delicious Pupusas. Had a very positive experience here with my grandparents. The waitress was super friendly my food was fresh and restaurant was clean. No complaints. Ordered a Jamaica to drink was delicious as well“
“2nd time here. Had to come back, aannd will be back again!! Ordered the Sopa de Gallina. One word to describe; AMAZING!! The chicken breast was well seasoned and super juicy. Still in love with the rice. The broth, you can taste the passion, skill and time it takes to achieve the flavor. Always remember to be patient, great food doesn't take 5 mins. It was hot out today, but super fresh inside.“
“Best place to get pupusas for sure, not to mention how amazing the food is yum ???, it's very affordable and the time wait is of course within reason but wait it gets better, for sure the curtido and salsa picante are bussin' as you're not getting the full story if you're only eating the pupusas alone. They have other items on their menu too besides pupusas but I don't know exactly what they are for sure I'll have to look again lol.“
“I love Hot food! Service was good, we would have liked to sit in the restaurant, we decided to take it to go , Did not disappoint, generous servings , and the red salsa in a clear plastic sandwich bag , was delicious with my food , we had plátanos y frijoles con crema, and chicken tamales with a huevos Revuelto.“
“First gen salvi here - this has been our new go to pupuseria since Cerro Verde closed. The pupusas, platanos, and beans are great, I haven't tried much else. God bless them for taking my dad's constant unsolicited business advice. I have only had to go food from here. Prices are fair for LA food.“
“Pupusas here are deliciosas!!!!! Prices are reasonable, they take debit card with no extra charge so that’s a plus. I recommend calling in if you’re taking to go because it can take them up to 25 minutes… the parking is not good but the taste and price are worth it :)We always get pupusas revueltas…“
“Great clean and well run spot in Wilmington! Delicious and freshly made authentic salvadoran food. The quesadilla, sweet bread, served nice and warm made in house is a must. We had the mojarra ? frita and chicharrones entomatados served with nice refried red bean, rice, and freshly hand made tortillas. Family restaurant with spotless facilities. Will be back!!“
“these pupusas are truly AMAZING ? something special. ok, where do we start.... for one most pupusa spots, skimp out on the cheese/fillings, and the pupusa are most likely very small. this is very common for lots of pupusa restaurants. however, this place is the exact opposite. they have HUGE pupusas that are filled with cheese/fillings. these are the best pupusas I have ever had. I truly recommend... trust me. like I would drive an hour or more for these bad boys. keep up the great work, pupuseria el kiosco !!!! I definitely would be back. oh, don't forget to place your order ahead of time !!! they take time to make like 20 to 30 minutes-Vegetarian options: bean pupusas bean & cheese pupusas“
“Cute and cozy Salvadoran food restaurant. I only picked up an order for which I had to wait over 40 minutes because of technical issues in the kitchen one of the two cooks had kindly explained. Service is usually much faster.Wheelchair accessibility: The facility is wheelchair accessible.“
“Today is my 4th time coming here, close to my house near South Gate park. I've had breakfast 3 times & today I came for a Sopa de Gallina. I must say their food is delicious, the presentation is very appealing & their service has been consistent & pleasant. I would highly recommend you come in & try it for yourself. Thank you for the great food & service. Jose D. ?“
“Went two days in a row here ! Super bomb and good hospitality!! The first day My mom got a Caldo de res and was good portions and tortillas de mano !! I got pupusas and tacos soo good the pupusa was super cheesy and the tacos were bomb aswell ! Second day my mom got plantano frito and pupusas and they were good portioned and soo good ! I got chilaquiles and I special requested my eggs to be sunny side up and they didn't forget ! I recommend!! Willl be going again ! This place is like a mixture of Mexican and Salvadoran food ! My favorites all in on restaurant!“
“I cannot believe this location actually closed!! We came here when it was opened in 2018, on a hot mid summer day. We passed through a sketchy neighborhood to get here, but you know what they say? Best tasting food is always found in a sketchy neighborhood. We parked in a spacious parking lot, greeted by a lots of smiles from the staff, the clean restaurant had a clean restroom and lots of dining space. This restaurant would've done well during the Covid-19 pandemic if it required social distancing. My family is actually from El Salvador, so seeing this restaurant was appealing and was there go-to. Upon gazing at the menu, we ordered Platanos, lots of Pupusas, scrambled eggs and had lots of traditional Salvadoran sour cream on the side. We enjoyed our dining experience so I'm sad to see this place go!“
“Reyna sure knows how to make an excellent pupusa. Of all the items we ordered for takeout/delivery, these were by far the star of the show. We also ordered some tacos and her steak tacos are pretty tasty as well! The chicken in the chicken tacos was on the dryer side, but that didn't stop us from devouring our meal. We also ordered the shrimp tostada which was another tasty item. We'll definitely be back for more pupusas soon!Check them out!“
“Highly recommend this place. The ambiance is friendly with great service. The food is delicious. Loved the Cafe de Olla, also the pan dulce. I had the chapin breakfast and loved it. Was my first time here with family and great friends. Would definitely return.“
“One of the best local pupusa places in Lynwood/South Gate area. Their pupusas are huge and full of cheese that pulls out when you break the pupusas. Their curtido is very flavorful. They also serve a delicious Carne Guizada with rice, beans, salad, and had made delicious fat tortillas. One more item that my wife and I like to order and now our son loves too is their sopa de pollo that comes with a lot of vegetables, two pieces of chicken and most impotently, they serve it with little coditos pasta inside. it brings the sopa to another level especially when you are sick or it's just a sopa kind of weather. The staff is very friendly and very attentive. Will definitely keep coming back here as long they keep making delicious food.“
“Wow for my Paseo Lourdes Salvadoran Restaurant ?? it has the best Salvadoran flavor 100% its delicious food, I live in the city of Pomona, but I go to Los Angeles California just to go my favorite food dishes ??? to all the public of I recommend its surroundings????????“
“I love the platanos and platano de empanadas, is my go to! Pupusas are great. Curtido is great, made the traditional way! I recommend you call in to place your order. Is not that they are slow is just the food is great they get tons of orders. I love that its clean inside too. Yeah its located in not the best street but never been a problem for me. I recommend this place!“
“If you’re looking for authentic Salvardorian food, I’d say this is it. Menu seems a bit basic but did not disappoint. I had popusas and a elote tamale. The tamale was delicious and moist. The popusas were made fresh, but didn’t wow me. I noticed a B rating which made me worry. Atmosphere is authentic and homy.“
“I ordered 40 popusas and they were ready when I got there. I didn't have to wait. The older lady there is so sweet. She made sure I didn't get burned and gave me box to carry the popusas to my car. Overall, great experience. Food was delicious and great customer service.“
“A small economy restaurant with amazing food, I’ve eaten El salvadorian food since childhood. The pupusas de queso con Loroco are the best. The Loroco was fresh and flavorful, the pan con gallina (hen sandwich) on a bun with mildly spicy Daisy was delicious. Grille shrimp has perfect seasoning.“
“Healthy simple food.I like it just the way it is. I got the #1 ejotes con huevo; scrambled eggs, green beans, onion, tomato & bell pepper; accompanied with queso fresco, beans, crema, avocado slice, and thick corn tortillas. Fresh, simple and not heavy. Plus the price is also fair. If we ALL ate good simple food vs fast food chain, we all would be better off“
“I'm in love with this place. The food is really good, GREAT customer service. I love that lady and her mom. They are very nice every time we visit them. One thing I am gonna say is that the order do take a bit longer than we always expect but besides that, you guys are doing a great job. BEST RESTAURANT IN PEDRO!“
“Very close to my house so when I'm craving pupusas or a good sopa de res this is the place I hardly eat in cause parking can be a pain in the butt but over all the food is delicious authentic highly recommend they also have a 2nd location in Inglewood much bigger like I told the wife las pupusas se comen con las manos ??“
“Albondigas- Guau. The broth was full of flavor. Not bland at all. Seasoning was delicious. The albondigas were nicely cooked. The vegetables were cooked to a good texture, not too smushy, not raw. Pupusa de queso and chicharron- Super super delicious. I love the flavors, very rich and savory. I love their tomato salsa. Coffee- The coffee was actually pretty decent. I enjoyed it a lot. Service- Great service. Attentive, polite and friendly. Very nice experience. This place is home cooking with cooks who know what they're doing and care about making delicious food.“
“I love this spot ! I've eaten here plenty of times ! They are located on Anaheim , parking is a bit crazy sometimes you can find it nearby or have to park down down the street ! Love the inside of it , super small , there's booth and stool seating . Menu is straight to the point as well as the food ! Salvadoran breakfast here is top notch! Platonos, huevos , y frijoles, con arroz YUM . Everyone has been nice here with their service ! Have not tried anything else but breakfast & pupusas ! But that has been great ! Can't wait to come here again“
“Been here numerous times and they have not ever Dissappointed me. I am a stickler for there Pupusas Revueltas, but because of lent Bean and Cheese only today. Also love how close they are to my residence. My water was served with a lemon inside and a slice of Cucumber on top.“
“Love this local spot for authentic Central American cuisine. Pupusas are always on point and my Dad lives their Caldo de Gallina. Always fresh and beyond delicious ? Love the plantain empanadas, they are a must try!!! Great for catering orders, too.“
“These were the best Pupusas I have had in a while so close to home too. They are freshly made and don't take more than 15 minutes to come out perfect! Parking is ok so I do recommend pre order if possible. Can't wait to try the other kind I ordered Revueltas and chicharron con queso! Wow they were delightful“
“The I tried two different pupusas one of loroco and the other quest con frijol and they were great, you just need a lot of napkins. The drink horchata is made from morro (awesome) so it is nothing like the rice version that taste like sugar/rice water. The place has a lot of nice attributes, it just needs a few touch upsParking: It is exactly behind the building“
“First impressions this place was not somewhere I would eat, but happy we gave it a try. Their revuelta pupusas were on point. They taste good and smell amazing!! Their casamineto taste super authentic. Platanos taste delicious. I'm not a fan of their yucca. They were too hard for my liking. I live one hr away, but if I was ever in the neighborhood, I would stop by again for sure.“
