“Fabulous sushi with just enough flair to let you know that Chef Daniel-son has above average skills in areas other than sushi - he does a Saba sandwich on homemade milk bread, plus a shrimp stone pot fried rice in addition to sushi (at least as of this visit). Two seatings, the later one is more relaxed if you don't mind eating late. And the sake selection is excellent.“

“A small hidden gem!!! We were there just last Friday. The service (as always) was wonderful, the food scrumptious and though last Friday we were sat immediately (we just happened to beat the crowd). We have had to wait a few times; and I assure everyone it is worth the wait!“

“We love Sushi Time! It’s one of the best local sushi spots in Torrance. My wife and I will call in for pick up and it’s always so quick. We get the eel avocado roll all the time, easily the best sushi they have. We’ve tried the shrimp tempura too but the eel sauce is good. The wasabi is spicy but could definitely be spicier! All in all, highly recommend this spot if you’re looking for delicious sushi at a good price. Owners are really kind as well and sometimes give special service!!“

From nigiri to udon (curry udon has stellar flavor for vegetarian or non-fish-lover friends), I haven't found a single thing to complain about. I visit LAX every few months and look forward to the next dish I get to try out next.

“Fantastic traditional Japanese (as in not Korean, not American style).
Omakase was perfect & very fairly priced. Fish quality was over the top orgasmic good.
We also had the baby octopus salad photo attached that was absolutely fantastic tender and extremely tasty.
In short extremely glad we finally tried this place. Won’t be the last time for sure.“

“My first review! My visit here last night was nothing short of a revelation in the art of sushi dining. Celebrating its 17th year, this gem of a restaurant has not just stood the test of time; it has set the bar for what authentic Japanese cuisine can embody. Though it is not your modern izakaya nor fine-dining luxury, it firmly facets itself as the "OG" restaurant in the diverse Japanese dining scene. Immediately upon entering, I observed details of its classic entity by old decos of art, calligraphy, signs, photos, and handwritten notes. It was an ambiance that exuded warmth. I immediately felt the history and dedication woven into the fabric of this place. The owners have crafted not merely a restaurant but a sanctuary for those who appreciate the finer nuances of Japanese culture and cuisine. I opted for the sushi combo course. Each piece of sushi was a testament to the chef's mastery over his craft, with every ingredient shining through in a delicate balance of flavors and textures with a properly curated course. All the nigiri boasted freshness in a blend of tastes that was above satisfactory by the plate. But what truly sets Sushi Anza apart is the heart and soul poured into every aspect of the dining experience. From the attentive, yet unobtrusive service to the meticulous presentation of the dishes, you can feel the love and dedication that the owners have for their craft. It's this personal touch combined with an "aged" ambience that transforms a meal into an experience. In a world where the genuine essence of Japanese cuisine can sometimes be lost amidst fusion and innovation, Sushi Anza stands as a beacon of tradition and quality. Overall, my first visit here was a nostalgic journey through the very essence of Japanese tradition, guided by the hands of those who know and respect it the most. I cannot recommend Sushi Anza enough and look forward to many more visits. I hope to regain the same authentic warmth, excellence, and quality that hallmarks the culinary gems of Torrance.“

My favorite is the salmon skin salad, only $8 still during these difficult times and post COVID prices. Offer multiple combination plates, sashimi, and authentic rolls.
Tofu salad also delicious.

“The Omakase, while a little pricey ($62/per person) was awesome. A nice mixture of of sushi that I would not have ordered myself. The service was quite good and knowledgeable. The atmosphere is a little bland, but also on par for local sushi restaurants. I will be back!“

“Since I'm a very picky Japanese food eater, I tend to avoid anything that might be Japanese where it's not 100% Japanese. That said, I do enjoy the Thai food here. It's decent and filling. The staff are polite and I like it because it's in walking distance for me.
I have tried some Japanese-ish food like the lobster rolls or teriyaki chicken. Those dishes weren't bad if you consider them more California Asian cuisine. The prices are what you might expect these days for a spot like this. They do have lunch time specials so I think those are worth making the trip if you're in the area and want some decent Thai etc or something different.“

“The staff is very friendly here and the sushi was so fresh and delicious. I ordered 3 salmon rolls that were 4 pieces each and the fish was so rich. I also really loved the extra Hello Panda cookies they threw in which just happened to be my favorite. I will definitely be back for more! They might just be my new favorite sushi spot.“

“An amazing "conveyor" belt sushi restaurant with high quality fish and great vibes. I use quotes because the belt is only used to deliver the food to your table as opposed to the rotating dishes. It's located inside of Tokyo central and there's gunna be a long wait for dinner but honestly.... it's such a great market to wander that you'll find the long wait to be fun.
Almost everything we ordered was delicious, mouth watering, and satisfying quality fish. The salmon quality is so butter smooth and I actually recommend the salmon party if that's your favorite type of fish.
Most items are decently priced and you can totally get full off of 30 bucks if you order the lower tier stuff. Service was quick and friendly.
Tip: You don't need to order on the tablet lol it'll get your arm tired from swiping the fixed screen. Just scan the QR code and order through your phone.

“Really great Japanese restaurant. Miso soup is legit - brothy with lots of adds with seaweed, green onion and tofu. Super flavorful. Green tea is steep yourself in suoer hot water for the right depth of tea, and truly great flavor. Sushi (spicy tuna) was delish. So glad I took my car in for servicing down the street and needed a lunch place while I waited!“

“I have been enjoying meals at Okane Umi since 2016. They have always been excellent in every category of service. The restaurant has had its share of ups and downs but I am happy with how strongly Okane Umi has powered up its menu and added some wonderfully flavorful genuine Japanese dishes. Im pleased they have reinforced their sushi, sashimi, chirashi offerings - I love this restaurant.“

“Excellent Japanese food. I got takeout: the Gindara Saikyoyaki Bento. It was delightful. Excellent service.
I'm going to have to come back because it's a lovely spot, and I want to actually sit and enjoy in the establishment next time.
Highly recommend. And El Segundo is a very pleasant, calm downtown to visit if you're waiting around for a flight, like I was. It can be fun to go up to Venice where all the excitement is, but I'm grateful that I had a nice calm afternoon in El Segundo this time. And my fantastic supper here was part of it.“

“First time reviewing this place, so let’s begin. On March 8, my older sister, Jennifer, and I went to Tak E Sushi and Rolls restaurant to eat sushi for lunch and I did not expect sushi to be this delicious and nutritious☺️. I guess I was wrong for not trying sushi for the first time😅 (forgive my rudeness). There exists countless options for Jenny and I, and customers to eat on their menu, but I think my older sister doesn’t want to eat a lot. Plus, there were plenty of drinks to choose from, but one thing I found out that there exists anime style drinks with likable anime characters from One Piece, Naruto/Naruto Shippuden, and Sailor Moon, though I wish they also added other iconic anime characters from other popular anime IPs that every anime fan loves, you know, the ones from Dragon Ball, Bleach, My Hero Academia, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Attack on Titan, Jujutsu Kaisen, Haikyuu!!, etc.; not to mention Hololive, the world’s virtual YouTuber agency, Vocaloid, Love Live!, maybe Pokemon, cute anime girls, and more should have their own drinks, even Star Wars (influenced by Akira Kurosawa’s films and Japanese culture which George Lucas said that Akira Kurosawa is his idol) deserve their own drinks in sushi stores, but a man can dream, yes? Anyway, we ordered the sushi while I had ramen, and I just couldn’t get enough of eating them as I smiled. It was great and I wish I could’ve tried it sooner rather than later. One thing that I forgot to see is that there’s also a bar you can sit on, but I’ll try that next time. In conclusion, the Tak E Sushi and Rolls restaurant is recommended for everyone. Not bad Japanese food and I want to come back again sometime. Though, I want to see the restaurant filled with people, though. And, Tak E Sushi and Rolls, thank you for giving what the customers and I want. The honor is yours. I’ll see you again soon.“
