“Super cute! The food was fast and fresh for weekday late lunch. Ample spacious seating and friendly staff! I did not try the scallop or watch trio bc I didn't like the teriyaki or mayo/onion on the salmon. I wanted the scallops plain or with the salt sauce, but it wasn't available. But otherwise, the fish were a good temp, well portioned (cut), and delicious. I order various salmon sashimi, nigiri, yellow tail, and tuna dishes.“

“By far the best sushi I’ve ever had! The quality here is unmatched—the sushi is extremely fresh and cannot be beat. I ordered the Rainbow Roll, and it was made to absolute perfection with beautiful presentation and incredible flavor.
Not only was the sushi outstanding, but the Udon noodles were unbeatable—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. This place really delivers on taste, quality, and overall experience.
I will definitely be back in the future. If you’re a sushi lover, Sushi Island is a must-try!“

“An adorable, cozy sushi restaurant with INCREDIBLE fresh fish. We got the special and regular omakase, and the special is absolutely worth the extra $20 because it comes with an amazing toro collar and tiramisu, along with more sushi, soup, and a carpaccio. Some memorable bites were the monkfish liver, fresh oyster, toro collar, daikon marinated red snapper, golden eye snapper nigiri, and the AMAZING housemade tiramisu.“

“Fukuno Restaurant is a hidden gem! No need to go to Japan, this is an even better experience. We were served by a kind older Japanese duo. The sushi was incredibly fresh. Other side dishes like pumpkin, eggplant, and bamboo shoots were delicious. Everything was fantastic and I would come here again in a heartbeat.“

“I order from No. 1 Chef often via Postmates. Something went wrong this time (not their fault, their computers were down), so my hubby and I took a quick trip to pick up our order. The lady was SOOOO nice and helpful over the phone. With that said, the food here is top notch! When I need comfort food, I get the egg flower soup and dumplings. The soup is ALWAYS hot and fresh and just feels like a hug. I've also ordered the egg fu yun, and trust this place is NOT stingy on the portions. Everything I've had has never disappointed. Yes, it may look like a hole in the wall, but if you want the kind of Chinese food that satisfies, give this place a try.“

“Stopped in after dinner at Sushi Bei. The place have been upgraded a bit since the last ownership. Way less dive feeling (but the old way was great too!).We just had a couple drinks and didn’t sing. The atmosphere was great! A very fun party and people were having a great time. They have many premium liquors and several mezcals (my fave). Looks like they no longer have the private room in the back.I would go back and would recommend!“

“Rampopo Restaurant is hands down one of my favorite spots! Not only do they offer amazing sushi, but their half-off menu is a game-changer. It's such a great deal—delicious, fresh sushi at a fraction of the price. The value you get for what you pay is unbeatable! Whether you're in the mood for nigiri, sashimi, or rolls, everything is so flavorful and perfectly prepared.
On top of that, the customer service is top-notch. The staff is friendly, attentive, and always makes me feel welcome. I’ve been coming here for a while, and I’m never disappointed. It's the perfect place for sushi lovers who want a great meal without breaking the bank. I highly recommend checking it out if you’re looking for a great dining experience with amazing deals!“

“Not that I've eaten at a ton of high-end omakase sushi restaurants, but Sushi Sonagi is one of the best omakase restaurants I've had in the world.
Chef Son seems to do a seasonal menu, but sources and prepares fish uniquely that not only tastes absolutely amazing, but also in a way that I didn't taste at several other, Michelin-starred omakase sushi restaurants. For example, I personally do not enjoy the taste of salmon, but the one Chef Son prepared (he described it as a 1 in 1000 salmon) did not have a strong salmon flavor at all, and it ended up being one of my favorite courses out of the whole meal. It should speak volumes of his skill that he could turn one of my least favorite ingredients into a dish I hope I'll be able to eat more of.
While I'm not a big sake person, the waitress (I assume his wife but I don't know for sure) was happy to recommend a sake based on my taste preference and she really nailed it, it was one of the best tasting sakes I've ever had as well.
Chef Son was also very conversational, and as a local South Bay resident he was able to chat with all the customers about a ton of stuff. Mostly food and cooking of course, but also other things as well. It was a much more relaxed and casual setting than other places at the $200+ price point, which I appreciated.
These types of restaurants are usually one and done for me no matter how good they are, but Sushi Sonagi is the first one I'm seriously considering returning to, and sooner rather than later.“
