“This sushi place is the best in town.
Raw tuna has an absolutely superb taste. It’s of great quality and has a high turnover rate, ensuring that you can always enjoy fresh sushi. However, one unfortunate aspect is that we don’t take reservations, which means we have to wait for at least 20 minutes.“

“I highly recommend Sushis Takeda. I absolutely loved the experience: the service from the waitstaff was excellent—always attentive and very friendly—which made the whole visit even more enjoyable.
What stood out most was the *omakase* format, where the chef prepares a perfect selection —and honestly, it does not disappoint. I was served by the team of Jairo, Sami, and Demi, and everything we tasted was delicious. Every single dish had incredible flavor, and the quality was evident.
Plus, I really enjoyed the sake 🍶; it complemented the entire experience perfectly.
It is definitely a place I would return to without a second thought. 👌🍣“

“No frills, just quality fish and preparation with attentive and personalized service. The owner and only employees are a lovely husband and wife who put their all into their quality menu and a personalized touch with customer service. I wish every small business was this great. Highly recommended!“

“Sawa is easily a top-10 restaurant in my opinion. The chef deserves a star. The entire experience went beyond my expectations, truly outstanding. I had so much fun dining there; the environment is friendly, and every bite was delicious. The host was spectacular, especially for suggesting we split the sake pairing, for someone who doesn’t drink much, it was more than enough. I’m already looking forward to coming back.“

“I took 4 of my closest friends here this past weekend. We sat from 12:30-3 and had a blast. The food is incredibly fresh and tasty and the customer service was crazy good! Very warm, welcoming, hospitable, and funny! One server played a few tasteful jokes on our table. Just a really great experience. We would have stayed but they break at 3. 10/10!“

“The food is sooooo good!!! It’s my comfort food now but the service is awful…We were the only customers in the restaurant at that time. When I asked for two pairs of chopsticks at the counter, the staff member appeared to ignore me completely. I had to repeat my request twice before she reluctantly looked up and threw the chopsticks at me. The service was disappointing and unnecessarily rude.“

“This was our third time dining at Eigikutei and we were just as pleased this time as we were with our maiden experience. We were favored with our personal favorite of the sushi kaiseki Yawaragi (10-piece sushi). All the separate elements of the course melded perfectly for our palette. The service was attentive and on que with our pacing of eating. And the ambience was quiet serenity. We highly recommend dining at Eigikutei for any fine dining connoisseur!“

“Finally tried this hand roll spot and it did not disappoint. Came during peak hours and waited a bit, but totally worth it. We ordered the 2person combo and everything was super fresh. The rice was perfectly seasoned and slightly warm, the nori was crisp, and the uni hand roll was outstanding — easily one of the best I’ve had. The soy marinated shrimp was also a standout. Small but stylish space, great quality overall. Would definitely come back!“

“If I could give this place 10 stars, I would. The chef - Tony is his name, I believe - is one of those rare dedicated and obsessed perfectionists who make every meal an occasion. Koreatown is a neighborhood with no shortage of great restaurants; this simple establishment is one of the best.“

“Parking/Entry: Use the Kajima building structure (address in email). Go to the 2nd-floor glass doors, then take the middle elevator to the basement.
This was my second visit to Sushi Kaneyoshi, and it remains incredible. The staff is so attentive they anticipate your needs before you even realize them. While the price point is high for a single meal, the quality is on a different level. As an average salaryman, I can say it's worth every cent. Kaneyoshi is a master, and I never tasted food the same since coming here.
These photos are from their Saturday premium reservations. There are a few dishes missing, including the 3 types of Uni nigiri - Santa Barbara, Boston, and Hokkaido.“

“Finding 715 Sushi already feels like part of the experience. You wait outside a gated wall, slightly unsure if you’re in the right place.
The omakase itself is incredibly. Every piece was fresh out and balanced. What stood out to me most was the rice, seasoned with a blend of soy sauce and rice vinegar rather than just vinegar alone. It gave the nigiri a more savory backbone. Nothing tasted rushed or careless; each bite felt deliberate.
The dish I haven’t stopped thinking about was the chestnut egg dish (likely kuri tamago). It was absolutely stunning! Soft, subtly sweet, and nutty. The flavor balance was beautiful and unexpected, and it ended up being the most memorable bite of the night for me.
Service was attentive when it came to refilling drinks and tea. The staffs were polite and accommodating. This experience was very thoughtful, refined, and well worth the drive.“

“Unsure initially but after reading reviews convince to visit and after ordering fully engulfed! I had the Red Dragon Roll, loved it! My son had the crunchy roll. And then I tried the beef bowl. Delicious. Vert flavorful. And the best part about this spot is that it’s not in the crowed Dtla area. It’s on Cesar Chavez and with plenty of street meter parking. Very manageable. I will be back.“

“Excellent! Totally lives up to the hype. Every dish we had was delicious but the salmon sushi, sweet potatoes and salmon collar were the standouts for me. Only thing I think they could work on is the space— tables set between breaks in the booth, air conditioning that turns the food cold quickly, blindingly bright neon lights. It could just be a bit more comfortable. Still, highly recommend!“

“The food conveyor belt is efficient & user friendly. The food itself is good, with a few caveats. In the mood for nigiri & sashimi? This is the place to get it conveniently and with good quality. In the mood for rolls that aren’t your basic California/tuna? This place will disappoint. But, they also have great dessert! The yuzu cheesecake is SO good. It’s really only 4 stars because of the rolls being so lackluster. They also only do brown rice which is fine I guess but not preferred.“

“Came to L.A for a quick trip, and stopped here for lunch, best decision ever!!!
The menu was huge. I tried the carpaccio and ceviche, and would have gotten 5 more plates of both if I could! The workers were very kind & helpful . The atmosphere was also peaceful. Would recommend 👍“

“This is our favorite restaurant and has been from first visit. Just finished dining a 4th time now. Only a couple of restaurants stand up to the test of time like this. Chef also provides a relaxed yet personable approach that meets you where you are. Truly an experience to savor both in food and company.“

“a minimal seating and parking area; but amazing service, great atmosphere, and top-notch food! Sushi, soups, bento boxes, you name it! everything is fresh and made to order. I love this gem of a restaurant.

“I’ve been to this restaurant twice now, and both visits were enjoyable. I tried the hot sake, the salmon and California roll bento set, and the teriyaki beef plate. Each dish was fresh, flavorful, and nicely presented. The service was friendly and attentive without being overbearing, which made the dining experience even better. Overall, it’s a great spot for a satisfying meal and a relaxed atmosphere—I’ll definitely be coming back.“

“I love this place for at least 3 generations my family has been coming here. It makes me think of my grandmother as this was always a treat me and her would go and get just the two of us and share with no one else. It was like our place and being a family and seeing a family and speaking like family all my life I just love this place. I always want 16-20 pieces half and nori and inari.“

“Best sushi in LA! Everything melted in your mouth! The fish is fresh, the price is affordable, and the service is great! It looks like a hole in the wall - but wow :)) We eat there once a week and love it! Drove all the way from Studio City to have dinner there - 2 hours each way in traffic - so that's obviously what it says :)) Haha Just love it!“

“Sushi Palace is one of those places that quietly overdelivers.
From the moment you walk in, the ambiance sets the tone. The neon lighting, the modern decor, and the overall vibe make it feel like an ideal date night spot without trying too hard. It’s stylish but still comfortable, which is harder to pull off than people think.
Now to the food.
The quality of the fish is immediately noticeable. The sashimi is clean, properly cut, and incredibly fresh. You can see it in the color and texture before you even taste it. The salmon had that rich, buttery finish you look for, and the tuna was vibrant and smooth with no metallic aftertaste. This is fish that’s clearly handled with care.
The sushi rice was seasoned well and balanced, not overly sweet or vinegary. That detail alone separates good sushi from average sushi. Presentation across the board was thoughtful without being overcomplicated. It looks beautiful, but more importantly, it tastes right.
Another thing worth mentioning is value. For this level of quality, the pricing is more than fair compared to other restaurants serving comparable sushi and sashimi. You’re not paying inflated “scene” prices here.
If you’re looking for a strong date night sushi spot with high-quality fish and a cool atmosphere, Sushi Palace deserves to be on your list. This is a place that focuses on freshness, execution, and experience.
I’ll definitely be back.“

“To be honest, we weren't sure about a Sushi place in Norwalk but this place was AMAZING. Everything was top notch. There was a line when we got there, so that was a positive sign. The staff was friendly and courteous. Every dish, the Miso Souo, the Sashimi, the Teriyaki Chicken, all of it was full of flavor. Nothing was lacking. “K Sushi is a hidden gem. Our server Luke, was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu. We ordered the Special Roll Tray and the Tempura Ice Cream.
The Special Roll Tray was flavorful and a great portion size for 4 people with moderate appetites. The Tempura Ice Cream was amazing. I loved the contrast between the crispy crunchy exterior and the cold ice cream inside. The pricing was fair and standard. They have korean fushion rolls on the menu. I will be coming back to try those!
The restaurant is small family business tucked in a small plaza. The place was clean and comfortable. It wasn’t too busy during dinner time on a Thursday. The bathrooms were clean which is always appreciated.“

“By far the best sushi I’ve ever had! The quality here is unmatched—the sushi is extremely fresh and cannot be beat. I ordered the Rainbow Roll, and it was made to absolute perfection with beautiful presentation and incredible flavor.
Not only was the sushi outstanding, but the Udon noodles were unbeatable—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. This place really delivers on taste, quality, and overall experience.
I will definitely be back in the future. If you’re a sushi lover, Sushi Island is a must-try!“

“My brother and I was in the area and stumbled upon this teriyaki and sushi place, which we were having a craving for. Upon entering, we were immediately greeted by the cashier and saw the large sign with all their menu items. When she saw that we were looking at it. She immediately directed us to the handheld menu to her left. I thought that was a really nice touch and sweet of her to save us some time.
The ambience is very humbling and comforting. It felt like the typical teriyaki place where you come in, eat real quick, and head out. It’s very down to earth and I love that!
My brother and I ordered the couples pack as well as the ultimate albacore roll.
Couple Pack - 5/5 this pack came with two sets of the teriyaki protein of your choice, macaroni salad, regular standard salad, two drinks, and one order of the Love roll (which seems to be a different order of ingredients a Philadelphia roll). We were extremely surprised with the quality of the teriyaki plate. The chicken was moist perfectly, and the teriyaki sauce was made to perfection with the balance of sweetness and savory. The rice was perfectly made and was not overcooked nor dry. The macaroni salad was nothing special, but I’m not going to complain about it since it’s a side dish. Same goes with the salad on the side. I will say that the salad did look and taste fresh. The love roll was perfectly balanced with the ratio of the Philadelphia cheese inside to the salmon and the rice. I will say I love that the rice was not overly packed and it was the perfect amount to complement the salmon and the Philadelphia roll.
Ultimate albacore roll - 5/5 this role has a very nice kick to it. It’s not overly spicy for those that love spicy food, but enough to have an enjoyable meal. For those that are sensitive to spicy I would recommend trying one bite to test your palette before devouring more. Overall, each bite was perfect and did not need much soy sauce because it was already so packed with flavor and freshness.
My brother and I look forward to coming back if we’re ever in the area again! I will also add I’m very astonished with today’s high cost how affordable this was for two people. In total it’s under $50 for the two of us and we were extremely full! Highly recommend!!!“
