“The restraunt is small, simple and very neat and clean. Wait staff is friendly and attentive. It appears most of their chicken is to go orders. This is the BEST fried chicken I've had in my entire life. I managed a KFC in the late 60s when their chicken was good. Not this good but good. I like to cook and have tried various fried chicken recipes. I get very close to The Chicken on Fire chicken. But their chicken is as good if not better than mine and always perfect. I only get wings. These wings are extra large and fresh. The drumsticks are very good and it isn't that I don't like them, I do! I prefer wings as my favorite piece of chicken. The chicken comes to your table hot, perfectly cooked with a crust that that shatters when you bite it. If your a first timer I suggest getting the sauce on the side so you can try each type that is of interest to you. It's best if you let the chef sauce the chicken in kitchen if you know your sauce preference. Its coated better and the flavor is evenly spread across each piece. So if you know the sauce you want just order it with the chicken. The sauce does not bother the crackingly crisp skin.
I always order enough chicken to have leftovers. Just reheat on low power in the microwave (high-power over cooks and drys the meat). It's still crispy or enjoy cold from the fridge.
I was in the restraunt a few months ago and there were 3 people dining on their chicken order. As they were preparing to leave the waiter gave them two large bags with chicken to go. I asked them if they were having a party. They said no they came in the day before while staying in CV, liked the chicken so much they came in the next day to have more and were now taking chicken back for friends and family in Washington state. They laughed that they got 2 large orders hoping at least one made it all the way home.“

“Just so everyone knows, This place is a co-kitchen with ramen 101. You cannot order in person. You have to order online and pick up to eat there or to go.I ordered the Three Taco sampler. It came with a lot of meat. Each item tasted pretty good. My favorite was the one with jalapeno sauce.The price is a little high, but I would come back again to try the other items.“

“Tangs Haus' sign caught my eye - the name made me think it was going to be a Chinese Hofbrau. But instead a lively and delicious Korean restaurant. The house made kimchi stood out for me but everything was great. Is there anything more soothing than a bubbling sundubu and a hot bowl of rice? Make sure to save room for the Hotteok Ice Cream.“

“The food and service here is wonderful, get as many flavors of the fried chicken that you can. Surprisingly, even the boneless fried chicken is fantastic – it’s made with chicken thighs, so it still has a crispy skin and dark meat texture.

My wife and I visited during a workday lunch hour so the owners, a mother and her son, we’re operating and taking orders. They were very nice and super hospitable. I wish them all the best with this business because they have a fantastic product.

No seating inside, as it is kiosk/countertop ordering, but there are tables outside to enjoy your food there. Super chill, nothing fancy.“

“Rice Junky is such a pleasant surprise! The food is flavorful, fresh, and served in generous portions. Everything tastes well-balanced and satisfying. The staff are friendly and the service is quick, making it perfect for a casual meal or takeout. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to!“

“Don't mind my child's photo bombing hand, but it's a reference for how big their servings are I suppose. Most items are in the $20 range, but the servings are huge, so I think that makes it worth it.

5 stars also because I would like this spot in general to do well as I am a fan of food courts. I would like to try out the other restaurants here as well. But all that said, I thought the food was pretty good as well. My family enjoyed the kimbap, jajangmyun, soondubu, and teoppokki.

It was completely empty when I came, so the seating was comfortable. But if this spot gets popular, that'll be a problem as there are only like 4 tables. I suppose it's more like a takeout food court though.“

“My son-in-law went to school in Korea, which is how he got familiar with Korean food. Hang Yang BBQ is a short drive from his house, and it's where he eats on special occasions. The BBQ we ate was delicious, but this is not a one-off because I have eaten here three times. It's also a good sign that other customers are Korean. I'll keep coming back.“

“This place has phenomenal beef bulgogi!! There was a rly nice char and grill flavor on them and they were also perfectly juicy 🙂‍↕️ definitely recommend!

We also got the galbitang, mixed soondubu, and the mul naengmyum which were all pretty good as well!

“Great Korean food! I’m so glad they didn’t compromise on the authentic taste even though they are not in a heavily Korean/asian area. The server was friendly and warm even though he was the only one there. He served everyone with a smile on his face which was great!

I’ll be going here every time I miss Korean food.“

“Came here with some friends for a pre Halloween night out.

First-time and I am very impressed. Bandhan was great with some that you don't normally get at other places.

Ordered the Kimchi pancake, kimchi fried rice, tteokpokki, bulgogi and spicy pork. All great and very filling.

Staff was very attentive and warm. They had the World Series game on. Overall great experience.

Will come back to try the kimchi jiggae.“

Away due to work, I came back for a quick visit to see my brother at the Holy Spirit Catholic Church(father Binh). We went out for lunch and since he liked Korean food I picked this one due to the close proximity to his church, and it was surprisingly good, I mean, not like Americanized; they kept great Korean flavors and taste, and Korean service attitude!!!!! “Fusion done right! I unfortunately couldn't eat our meal until I get home but that did not matter, the flavor, texture its all there. I was also hesitant to get the Ube horchata cause I didn't think it would work together and I do not like horchata, but it's darn good. Worth the 25 min drive from Walnut Creek.“

“So good and so dangerous being right down the street… The honey butter dusted fried chicken is like if Crispy Crunchy and farmer’s market kettle corn had a beautiful baby. Do yourself a favor and get some spicy kimchi rice with your chicken for that hot sauce style heat on the side. Bomb!“

“Tried Matzip recently under the new management and wow — everything was amazing. We ordered the buldak fried chicken, soy-garlic fried chicken, and jajangmyun, and each dish was spot on.

The fried chicken was crispy to absolute perfection — the kind of crunch you normally only find at top spots in Korea. The jajangmyun noodles were perfectly chewy and flavorful, exactly what you’d expect from an authentic Korean Chinese restaurant in Seoul. Even the side dishes, especially the kimchi, were fresh and balanced just right.

Overall, the food exceeded expectations. Highly recommend giving it a try and experiencing it for yourself. Matzip under new management is definitely worth checking out!“

“We got in and seated fast, it wasn't too loud. Good music. Games on TV. Food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was AMAZING. There was plenty of options on the menu. I ordered two specialty rolls and both exceeded my expectations. Would come again“
