“Only thing to complain about is the lack of a chili oil, and a fly that was just so attracted to me. I really like the cube meat they gave me, I genuinely really liked the cube meat. It's perfectly proportioned and it actually has flavor to it rather than just filler meat. This place is alright, I respect the simple sign they have for the place.“
“Hands down the BEST of all Oakland Vietnamese has to offer! The fried chicken rolls are addictive, the veggies and chicken spring rolls fresh and flavorful. My favorites are their grilled pork Bahn Mi and grilled chicken Pho. Consistently delicious take out EVERYtime.“
“Do you like chicken? How about pho? If so, this place is right up your alley! This seems like a newer location of a branch originally based in San Leandro (which I've never been to). It's in the same strip mall as a bunch of Asian restaurants and Marina Foods, so you have no shortage of options. However, I recommend coming here for these reasons: 1. Everything looks super new and clean! The decor, bathroom, and tables were all sparkling. I normally don't mind more cluttered hole in the wall type places but the clean interiors made me feel calm as soon as I walked in. 2. Note that they only serve chicken dishes. Which is fine, because I love chicken. I got the #1 dish which consists of steamed chicken in a big bowl of pho with all the usual toppings. It also came with a delicious ginger scallion concoction which was flavorful and generous. The chicken was piping hot and fresh, and the noodles and soup were nice complements to it. 3. Service was great! They speak both Mandarin and Cantonese so if you want to order in one of those languages, you can (of course English works too). No wait, and while the restaurant is small, like I mentioned above everything is nice and orderly so there's no chaos. Very nice environment to enjoy a warm meal in, especially on a cold day. I'm coming back to try their plethora of drinks! (What's available: Vietnamese coffee, Thai tea, soy milk, various unique sodas)“
“Saigon house has been on of our regular rotation for a while. We’ve had a small variety of items from pho, vermicelli, and rice plates. There’s still a lot on the menu we need to try! Everything we’ve had has been good. Food is fresh and delicious. Most recently we had the wonton noodle soup. It had a tasty broth, good wontons which was separated from the shrimp. Shrimp was cooked perfectly and the egg noodles were delicious! They get busy very quickly so order early!“
“This is a cozy little hole in the wall spot for authentic Laotian food. The food is consistent for dine-in and takeout and has great portions for the price. I'm always guaranteed leftovers.I suggest trying the namkhao, gaeng nor mai, and raw beef laab (if you like raw, but cooked beef is available as well).Everything about the place is great, besides the location. It's happens to be in a not so friendly looking location, but don't let that stop you from trying out their food. Get take out and you won't be disappointed.“
“My First time trying Pho and I have to say great for a rainy day!My baby and I got chicken soup and some garlic noodles... ??And my mommy got the steak.Customer service was on point .Will return ?Parking: Because there are so many great shops here, parking can be a bit crazy sometimesKid-friendliness: Children friendly options available“
“Good pho. Great customer service with a smile ☺️?. Easy to park and find. Fast and Fresh.Vegetarian options: Good selectionParking: Easy in and out with a big vanKid-friendliness: Very kid friendlyWheelchair accessibility: Very accurate“
“This Slanted Door location has quite a large dining room and outdoor patio space in the upscale Bishop’s Ranch shopping center in San Ramon. Blonde wood floors, marble tabletops, and black accents throughout. Definitely a good spot for celebrations, in addition to simply enjoying a nice dinner out.My husband and I dined with two friends, sharing six dishes family style between us—family style is the preferred method of ordering here. We started with the daikon rice cakes, which were one of the highlights of the meal for me!The texture was impressive: somewhat creamy, somewhat spongy, with the light pepperiness of the daikon radish. Another favorite for me was the wood-roasted and dry-aged duck. The duck was cooked to perfection, offering a bit of crunch with each bite of skin and a milder-than-most gaminess to the meat. Nice accompanying hoisin sauce as well. I also thought the shaking beef, served with a vibrant lime sauce, was delicious.Shaking beef has been a favorite of mine since I first tried it at Golden Garlic on the Peninsula years ago. I love how a good crust can seal in great prime rib flavor with every bite, and the Slanted Door’s was no exception. We also shared the stir-fried bok choy, cellophane noodles with gulf shrimp and Dungeness crab, and the shrimp and pork imperial rolls. Those were all good, but not as notable as the previous dishes. The cocktails were expertly made, offering unique versions on classic tiki cocktails, and it takes skilled bartenders to pull that off well. My Singapore Sling—Glendalough gin, benedictine, cherry heering, cointreau, fresh pressed pineapple, lime, angostura bitters—was a delight, and everyone enjoyed their first round picks. It did take a while for our waiter to come by, but he was an excellent server for the rest of our meal, making some recommendations and advising us on how much food to order.“
“This is a really nice restaurant in a great location. It's peaceful, cozy and has a nice outdoor patio. I appreciate that because I can bring my dog there. The staff were kind and attentive. The food was exquisite. I will definitely go here again as it's now my favorite Vietnamese restaurant in the area.“
“I've been going here every weekend and order the same item - chicken noodle soup (pho). It's always amazing and it's also healthy. They have a special spicy sauce that you can ask for and is (I believe) imported because I haven't been able to find it.The restaurant is always clean and is family owned. The owner works with his elderly parents and is a very nice guy. Would definitely recommend this place!“
“Delicious banh mi‘s! I got pork bbq, and the meat was well done (was slightly dry), veggies fresh, bread not fresh enough to be crunchy and hold well (that’s a good thing!).Do get extra hot sauce. Also, they’re not cash only - they do take Zelle!“
“If you're on the hunt for a quirky eatery, this is your spot! It's a wonderland where French bread, mochi donuts, and – wait for it – deep-fried rice dogs (not your average corn dogs, but a rice-encased marvel) reign supreme. And oh boy, are they delicious! Sure, it might tickle your wallet a bit more than usual, but it's worth it. Plus, the French bread here? It's a culinary superstar, totally outshining the old Lees sandwich joint that used to grace this spot. Get ready for a taste adventure! ?????“
“This place was delicious and the food here was great, this may have been the best Vietnamese food I have ever had. I may have had to drive 7-8 hours to get here but it was all worth it, I would recommend this place to everyone because the French fries were also very good. This place serves the food very fast and it was absolutely delicious 5 stars and will come back again.“
“Since it very close to school’s depending on what time you go there can be a crowd. But the food is amazing and love the Vietnamese sandwiches and thai tea !! Family run very nice people!! Very fast service too !! Especially for to go orders. Go try this place out especially if you never had a Vietnamese sandwich.“
“This review is NOT for their chicken noodle (which I hear is very good) but for their seafood noodle soup and fresh squeezed sugarcane drinks! The seafood noodle soup doesn’t get its fair share of attention. It’s a delicious flavor and a generous portion. Plenty of ingredients, and ask them for the ginger sauce to go with it and it’s the bomb! We’ve been grabbing their sugarcane drinks for ages now. I prefer the simple one with kumquat but there’s lots of flavors to choose from. It’s always so thirst quenching especially on a warm day. Brings me back to Southeast Asia right away. My only gripe are the prices for the drinks sky rocketed in the past year, but that’s inflation for ya.They just expanded their indoor space so there’s almost twice as many tables now and they’re usually full at peak lunchtime. Easy parking in the mall lot. Come just past lunchtime like around 1 or 1:30pm to avoid the crowds.“
“Great service - very on top of getting orders, making sure you have water and food came out fast. Clean eating area, well lit and comfortable. Food was good but nothing remarkableParking: Street parking and a parking lot just half a block away“
“Pro:Excellent go to spot for Bún bò Huế.Very friendly staff.Consistent food and fast service.Water carafe for the table is a major plus.Dining is always a great experience.Take out is quick and well packed.Con:Restaurant is in a very busy lot with other food establishments and a large grocery store. Parking is pretty tough on the weekends.“
“Milk tea with popping boba was good. Popcorn chicken was also good. It came out a little slow but it's probably because it's only one person working. We are coming back to try more for sureParking: lotsKid-friendliness: I would want my kid to go here“
“Good food. Service is good as long as the manager/owner is helping wait the tables. Parking can be really challenging, depending on what day and time it is. Usually the parking is hard to find on weekends and evenings.Parking: The location is at the corner of A St x Hesperian, next to BK and other stores so parking lot is full of patrons going to all the other businesses around“
“This place is by far the best ever. We venture off and try other Pho restaurants, but then it reminds us why this place is our absolute favorite! No one compares to Pho Auntie 7. Amazing food. The freshness of this food hits my taste buds amazingly; they crave for this place ALWAYS! If you haven't tried this place, try it! You won't regret it. And if you do, there has to be something wrong with your taste buds. ? The atmosphere is nice and clean. Omg! They even wipe and clean all the sauce bottles and salt/pepper shakers at the table; they are never dirty and caked with dry sauce. This is an absolute PLUS because any other Viet place, I have to use napkins to wrap around the bottles so I don't touch other people's grossness. The staff is also friendly and great too. You know you come to a place a lot when they remember your face. I recommend everyone to try this and make it your favorite too!“
