I'm not a lover of banquette seating, tables are to close for any kind of intimate conversation, they did try to move us but as usual the place was booked, one of the owners said hello to us on our way out. “I can't say enough about the vibe, people, space, and staff. The staff are wonderful, they won me over because a friend accidentally knocked over my martini that I literally had two sips from it. This happened right near the bar and the bar tender who made my the original martini saw this and started making me another and when I went to pay she said no. That is really amazing. And the other bartender was so nice as well. We were there because a friend reserved the back part for a party and it was the perfect space. There were about 30 people and had food catered in, such a great time. Was my first time and looking forward to going back.“

“Truly a delightful place to stop by for lunch. After a day of sightseeing, I wanted to go locally to have a nice meal without trekking a long ways. The Pantry fit the bill as the ambiance reminded me of one of the restaurants I visited in Southern France.

The staff were friendly and made great recommendations from the menu. I liked that it wan’t a huge restaurant so it had a warm and cozy feeling to it.

I loved the lobster roll and rose spritz that I had. Everything was tasty and enjoyed my lunch. I would definitely be back again to try other items off the menu.“

We lived in Palm Desert for about 11 years and every time we’re back in town we make sure to come by here to grab a drink and some snacks. We love getting to see Buzz, he makes it the best place to eat!“

“Concise Review Great poolside food, drinks, & staff ----- Longer Review We have visited Marriott’s Shadow Ridge in Palm Desert since 2002, and afternoons at the pool, with food and drinks from Chuckwalla Bar & Grill, are a bit part of every trip. One of my all time favorite photos is from a nice afternoon, poolside, several years ago when the kids were little... it was one of our most fun and peaceful afternoons as a family anywhere... the photos is of our daughter, asleep on my wonderful wife, my wonderful wife smiling at me, and our son was on the chair in between us, smiling as he was drinking a strawberry smoothie from Chuckwalla’s... such a blessing. We visited Southern California - Palm Desert, Yucaipa, and Malibu - for Spring Break 2021. This trip we had more activities off-property than usual, so we only got one nice long afternoon at the pool, and RebekahM made it a little extra special. The sun, the water, fun in the pool... and smoothies... such a joy. Before I had a chance to think about it, smoothies were en route from Chuckwalla... strawberry, banana, and alcohol-free pina colada. Rebekah delivered them to us with a big smile and infectiously positive attitude. Rebekah turned the fun up a notch with her dancing and smiling and laughing as she took our orders and delivered to the families around the pool... everyone was extra happy when she was around. “My knowledge base is one visit on December 23. I found Tryst to be a fun and inviting place. The barter was attentive. It was a mixed (age, gender) and friendly crowd. I am not aware of a food menu and therefore didn’t rate. To me it was a bit more relaxed than the nearby Arenas venues. I’d come back anytime for a drink and chat with friends. Patrons were laughing and having a good time. The “vibe” was good.“

“We stopped by Jalisco’s this morning for brunch and it ended up being such a great experience! As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, friendly smile and told we could sit anywhere. The vibe was welcoming right from the start.
I ordered the cucumber lemonade and OMG — highly recommend! Super refreshing, crisp, and delicious. For food, we got the chilaquiles and the nachos (as pictured), and both were packed with flavor and the perfect amount of spice.
The place stayed busy the whole time we were there — even a local sheriff’s deputy came in, which to me says a LOT. You know they’re picky about where they eat, so that’s when you know the food is good!

“Eight Desert Divas dined at Sí Bon Restaurant in Rancho Mirage on Thursday. We were celebrating one of our own lovely Diva's birthday. We made reservations ahead of time (thankfully) because they were VERY busy. It is a popular place. The service was excellent. The menu was great. They offer a summer menu which includes a three course dinner for $32. They also have a happy hour menu. I ordered the meat loaf dinner and it was delicious and plentiful. Others selected steak with fries, tacos, mussels, and a few other items. There were no complaints at all. They even brought out a birthday chocolate mousse with a candle and 8 individual spoons to honor our birthday girl. Our server was wonderful and he gave us separate checks (which we always appreciate). It was definitely a special night and we highly recommend Sí Bon. Be sure to make reservations ahead of time. You won't be disappointed.“

Service was friendly and welcoming, though it did feel a bit slow at times, almost as if they were busier than the crowd suggested. Not a dealbreaker, just noticeable. If I had to mention one other downside, it would be the bathrooms—not that they were bad, but they could use a bit more attention to match the restaurant's higher-end feel, especially in terms of fragrance and upkeep.
