“Overall, Tommy Bahama Marlin Bar offers a pleasant experience, although it falls a little short of being memorable. The cocktails are decent and well made, but nothing really stands out. The same can be said about the food: good quality and enjoyable, but not something that stays in your mind afterwards. Service, however, was excellent. The staff were friendly, attentive, and contributed positively to the evening. The biggest weakness is definitely the atmosphere. For a bar, the space is much too brightly lit, which takes away from the relaxed and welcoming feeling you would normally expect. A warmer, more intimate lighting concept could make a huge difference. Overall, good, but there is definitely room for improvement.“

“I enjoyed a wonderful experience at Farm in Palm Springs for an early Mother's Day dinner. We had delightful three hour six course dinner in a magical setting with live music and delicious fare. PROS: The hostesses graciously greeted us and sat us a bit earlier than our reservation time. Had a nice table in one of the rooms with a fireplace and a large mirror. The saxophonist played and the sound poured in with great acoustics from the speakers. The amuse bouch had avocado, so I could not eat it, so my mom enjoyed all two. My dad could not eat solid foods due to mouth surgery. The bread course had warm fresh items and silky salty butter. The beet salad, melon salad, and corn soup provided earthy, tart, sweet, and creamy bites and tastes. The varied textures provided a kaleidescope of fresh tastes. The baked brie offered sweet and savory mixes of grilled bread, pear, and date spread! The lemon sorbet palate cleanser provided a balanced experience that did its job. The salmon entree provided an exquisitely pan fried crispy and juicy flaky fillet. The creamy dijon mustard sauce complimented the protein perfectly. The sweet peppers offered a wonderful crunch. The swiss chard added some bitter contrast to the garlic potatoes. The wonderfully bitter Citron crepe provided a nice end to a culinary cruise. Crystal took great photos in the garden. Gilbert was professional and affable. CONS: They asked me so many times for extra drinks. I had to prompt them multiple times to fill the water glasses and refills on tea and diet coke. They charged me full price for mashed potatoes, soup, and sorbet for my dad's meal. I get it. OVERALL: I highly recommend this restaurant for a magical evening meal inspired by Provence, France.“

“High Moon was a fantastic breakfast stop and such a cute little place inside a hotel. It has a charming, relaxed feel that makes it worth going out of your way for, whether you're stopping in for cocktails, brunch, or a meal. I ordered the patty melt breakfast sandwich and asked for the bread on the side because I like it deconstructed — and they actually deconstructed the whole thing for me, which was such a thoughtful touch. The hearty eggs and sides breakfast was perfect too, with generous portions and great flavor. But the real highlight was the thyme Bloody Mary. We love trying Bloody Marys and are always on the hunt for the best one, and this one definitely made it to the top of our list. We would absolutely recommend making time for High Moon! 🍳🍅✨“

“I was just invited for my Birthday Afternoon Tea Celebration at this wonderful venue! Everything was perfect..The food, the atmosphere, the staff and Willie himself! The attention to detail was much appreciated. Lovely tea service, the live harp music, beautifully presented food. Our waiter made sure our yummy Vanilla Earl Grey Tea was always refreshed and hot. “The eggs Benedict tasted really good. So did the French toast. When we first walked in, it was loud and very vintage. Has an A on the window but seemed a little old dirt felt. Very hometown carefree environment and man the good tasted great. Parking in front, and way more in back. Had bathrooms and a private table set up in back. Service was great and food came out quick. Dont be thrown off by the vintage dinge. Its a perfect place for breakfast“

“What a great find. We were driving back to CA from Phoenix and were looking for a nice place to stop for lunch and we found It's a Wrap. It's basically the restaurant at the golf club house in a private community. The staff, food and location was great. It was very relaxing and we didn't have to worry about the stuff in our car in a strip mall type of location. Highly recommended.

Note that Google Maps will likely route you to the residents only entrance, to access the restaurant you need to enter off Varner road which is the service road of I-10“

“So I was seated immediately. The hostess and waiters were really quick and nice. The cooks were often not at the omelet counter, so people often waited a few minutes. The food was decent. The waffles and French toast were not too good, dry and overseasoned. The rest was good though. For a quick large meal, it was worth it.“

“A take out order today had one "glitch," so I wondered if J's was slipping again. I called the restaurant and talked to the person who had sent the order out. She apologized and said there would be a credit on my next order either delivery or in the restaurant. But almost immediately, Jay, the owner, sent me an email apology increasing the credit (double the cost of the item) and saying he was sorry for the error and disappointing me. That prompt and responsive action on the part of the owner counts. Things go wrong with any restaurant or any business. I learned long ago as a customer - and as a consultant to the top execs at Fortune 500 companies - that the true measure of a company isn't how they act when things are going well (that's easy) but rather how they handle it when things go awry. Jay handled the minor mistake in my order with professionalism, responsiveness, promptness, and kindness. The order was on time, packaged perfectly, and the key thing, great food. As I said in the past, there was a period in which I saw some problems at J's, but for a while now, I have seen nothing but great food, good service, and attention to the customer. I hope others go to J's and find the same.“

“Selected this property for a short stay in the desert. I had seen mixed reviews since COVID but my personal experience was very positive. Received an incredibly warm welcome from Luke at the Front Desk. He could not have been more gracious and helpful. He even walked us to our room [#302]. As a Marriott Bonvoy Titanium member I was very grateful that my suite upgrade request had cleared. The room was spacious and well laid out. There was a queen bed and a separate sofabed [no mention of this on the website though]. Two negatives included a lot of noise from the outside street [Indian Canyon Drive is a very busy road] also the bathroom really smelled whenever we took a shower.. the drains clearly need to be cleaned out. Everything else was great though...location is awesome...pools are really nice. One piece of advice...the cost of parking is not worth it...we parked on the surrounding streets. Recommend you do the same.“

“Concise Review Great poolside food, drinks, & staff ----- Longer Review We have visited Marriott’s Shadow Ridge in Palm Desert since 2002, and afternoons at the pool, with food and drinks from Chuckwalla Bar & Grill, are a bit part of every trip. One of my all time favorite photos is from a nice afternoon, poolside, several years ago when the kids were little... it was one of our most fun and peaceful afternoons as a family anywhere... the photos is of our daughter, asleep on my wonderful wife, my wonderful wife smiling at me, and our son was on the chair in between us, smiling as he was drinking a strawberry smoothie from Chuckwalla’s... such a blessing. We visited Southern California - Palm Desert, Yucaipa, and Malibu - for Spring Break 2021. This trip we had more activities off-property than usual, so we only got one nice long afternoon at the pool, and RebekahM made it a little extra special. The sun, the water, fun in the pool... and smoothies... such a joy. Before I had a chance to think about it, smoothies were en route from Chuckwalla... strawberry, banana, and alcohol-free pina colada. Rebekah delivered them to us with a big smile and infectiously positive attitude. Rebekah turned the fun up a notch with her dancing and smiling and laughing as she took our orders and delivered to the families around the pool... everyone was extra happy when she was around. “Okay I had really low expectations of this restaurant after reading some reviews but I had to dine here to use some F&B credit I had. It turned out to be a very satisfying meal!

I went on a Saturday noon. It’s quite empty just a few tables were occupied. I ordered steak salad ($25) and it was amazing!!! The steak was cooked to perfection and the salad portion was generous.

My partner got steak and fries )
($30) and it was delicious too. Fries were crispy I couldn’t stop eating lol.

Our waitress was also very welcoming (forgot her name but she had some tattoos on her arms).

Bloody Mary was just average so I don’t recommend it. Other than that I think this place deserves a solid 4.“

We recently had a goodbye dinner at Al Dente Trattoria for a couple from our snowbird park. There were nine of us, and overall the food was good. Everyone ordered full meals, and the service was acceptable, especially considering the restaurant was relatively empty.

Before dining, we had all requested separate checks. What we did not realize was that the restaurant automatically added a 20% gratuity for parties over six people. Three people in our group noticed this and did not add an additional tip. Unfortunately, three of us did not catch it and ended up tipping more than 20% on top of the already-added 20%.

The next morning, after realizing what had happened, I called the restaurant right away. I explained the situation politely and asked if they could remove the extra tip from my bill, as I had also left cash. I was only speaking for myself, not the rest of the group. The woman I spoke with was very pleasant and told me she would look into it and get back to me.

Unfortunately, I never heard back, and the charge went through unchanged. As a result, our waitress received approximately a 40% tip on three fairly large bills.

I fully understand that I should have noticed the automatic gratuity myself, and I take responsibility for that. However, once the restaurant was made aware that several guests had clearly made the same mistake, I had hoped they would show some goodwill and help resolve it. Since nothing was done and no follow-up was provided, I am rating this restaurant one star based on the way the situation was handled from an ethical and customer service standpoint.“

“An amazing setting outside near the pool. Service was excellent! The food was delicious and uniquely presented and prepared. We had the sea bass and chicken mallard. Both were very good! The beet salad was so different but delicious. Had the coconut dessert for my birthday. A very wonderful way to celebrate my special day. You won't disappointed.“

“My husband and I stayed at the Parker for 3 nights, and we ate breakfast here each morning. The wait staff is so friendly and attentive, and the patio is relaxing and inviting. The vegan pancakes are huge, so plan to split with someone! My only request would be to have one more vegan friendly breakfast option - a scramble, coconut yogurt as an option for the yogurt bowl, or oatmeal. Food is expensive, so just plan on that!“

It was already maxed out with people wolfing down appetizers and wine with not one seat open. Not Cool. Clearly the good Ole boys got the we will let you in early memo. Too much competition around El Paseo to ever go back.“
