“Thanks to Google Maps, I was able to find this very yummy stop. It is in an office building lobby. Secluded corner with restrooms and a courtyard view. I parked in the adjacent parking garage for free. Enter through the lobby doors at the back. The parking lot is for employees. You can't miss you are in the right place, the aromas are amazing! Try the horchatta latte!!😋“

“Travelled from Nova Scotia, Canada recently for an event. Love hunting down good coffee and good vibes. Rented a car for the day and stumbled on Awkward Coffee. Based on the name alone I knew we had to go. Very friendly staff, great selection of specialty drinks and sweet treats. Got to sample their new strawberry cold foam while we were waiting as well 🫣 I would make the trip from Nova Scotia again just to go back and visit this shop. “I have been going to Porto's since the 1980's..the one in Glendale. How elated I was with having them being in Northridge where I live. The food is terrific and the lines go fast due to a tremendous quick system they have. The catering for parties has never let us down and people you have invited that never have experienced Portos are thrilled. The cakes are delicious. What I do miss is not having the individual cake slices for purchase so you can experience the taste. They only have the neapolitan, Parisian, and carrot for slices. I've seen the menu change over time and do miss some of the items.“

The portions are generous, offering excellent value for the price. My two kids love the beef lule kebab plate—it’s big enough for them to share, with leftovers to spare. As someone who eats mostly vegan, I really appreciate the variety of plant-based options. I’ve tried the falafel plate, falafel wrap, veggie wrap, and several appetizers—all have been flavorful and satisfying. Highly recommend!“

“I have been looking for quinoa all over LA. This place serves it and it is very good. The mix has just the right amount of dried sweet cranberries and a few chickpeas. It was perfect. I had a salad with tuna avocado and egg salad. I was able to sub the egg salad for tuna which was very nice of them. They gave me a fork full of a mayonnaise free tuna they had prepared on the way out which again was a great experience. This is the kind of place that you feel cares and you'd want to keep going back to. A+++“

“I've been stopping here a couple times a week for breakfast or lunch. Probably ordered here about 30 or 40 times now. The sweet lady that runs the shop has always been so kind and friendly, no matter how busy she is! The food is always great, and she never forgets the napkins/utensils.

Although I haven't gotten anything here I didn't enjoy, out of everything I MUST recommend you try the yogurt parfait. I don't even like sweetened yogurt cups, but this homemade yogurt is better than anything I've ever tried. It's SO good, I start to crave some after a couple weeks without it. It's heavenly.

“Sunlife’s Million Dollar Smoothie continues to be one of my favorite things ever. I think they’ve brought the price down a little since Covid?? (Or I’m delusional. It’s still pricey for a smoothie but utterly worth it.

The young woman working the counter in the Calabasas store when I went in to grab it was super friendly, authentically so, and was running things with efficiency and kindness. Really impressed.

“I decided to eat here with my family for breakfast after the first day of Hanukkah and the owners communiciated with me that it will be around 35-45 minute wait for food due to high number of customers ordering on site and online. Sat outside but decided to walk inside to order latte's and bake goods meanwhile. Inside is DEVINE. It was full of customers waiting to buy the Chanukah donuts (seasonal only, I was told) and we ended up taking to our table all 14 flavors of delicious mouthful. and took another 12 special assorted flavors to go to gift to our family friend. Time went by quickly shared with my good company and inside this family-oriented environment. Everybody was working hard, and the food was worth the anticipation. My family and I walked out pleased and impressed by their quality. We will all be coming back in again.“

My son ordered Joojeh Kabsb, which was juicy and flavorful, served with a side of rice. I ordered Abgoosht, and I loved how fresh and well-seasoned it was. It reminded me my childhood traditional abgoosht places in Tehran.
