All the pastas we tried had incredible depth of flavor without being overly heavy or greasy. The hippo rolls and table focaccia were excellent and the chicken thighs were to die for. “The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.“

“I pop in here probably once a week sometimes twice for a glass of wine. The bartenders are very cheerful and informed with respect to varieties and flavors and all the jazz. They walk you through the options and make tip top recommendations. The place is always slammed at night, yet the manager is extremely accommodating and always finds a place for me to chill and savor the weekend ambiance. I’ve never had their food, but it looks delicious. All the servers are friendly and have excellent people skills. The outdoor space is a fun hang too if you have a group. I always feel spoiled here. 5 star experiences.“

“This meal was the highlight of our LA trip! I don’t know what kind of sorcery is afoot here but this little spot manages to be so much more than the sum of its parts. I felt so welcomed from the moment I stepped through the door and I liked that they have you order and pay before sitting down, it makes the dining experience more relaxing and low key. Loved how short and sweet the menu was, the chef has incredible restraint and a crystal clear vision. Every single thing we had was incredible, the best hk french toast and bolo bao I have ever had, and omg the scallion roll and dumplings. I don’t know what it is about this place but I’m still thinking about that meal days later. Also, the dining room made me feel like I was in a tvb serial from the early 90s which is the highest compliment.“

Cubano was sour and the Spicy Chicken Milanese was great but not so spicy. Ropa Veja was also tasty. . The bread on all these… perfect. Mango shake was better than the Passion Guava. Ambiance - The best outdoor seating on the street. They constructed some type of canopy, so that you were fully outside, yet covered.

Service. — Very friendly and prompt. The hostess took our reservation, gave an accurate wait time estimate…and maintained friendly eye contact as we waited. And our server was quite friendly and helpful.

Food — That is the main reason this restaurant gets a rare 5-star personal rating. The three of us chose from a wide array of dishes. EACH was so delicious that we were compelled to share with the others. Adult daughter ordered the Salmon pizza, amd raved. Wife got the Fish Tacos, and the Brussels Sprouts. Loved them. I ordered their Tremendous Burger. This had to be the first time in over a decade that a burger’s picture and description were compelling enough for me to order them at a sit down restaurant. I actually forgot how good an Ole’ Fashioned cheeseburger could taste.

There are clearly many restaurant choices in L.A. If you are in the Larchmont area, definitely try Great White!

The #1 option with cold cuts and Vietnamese-style meatloaf is incredibly flavorful. I might be mistaken, but I detect a lovely smoky note that elevates the entire sandwich.
The bread is truly exceptional—fresh, soft on the inside, and perfectly crunchy on the outside. It’s the ideal baguette to complement the vibrant fillings. “I was told to review for a free Thai Iced Tea: Good atmosphere, the decor and lighting is beautiful! Good service, I went on a busy Friday night so it took a little longer to get the server's attention but they were soooo nice when they attended me. Not the best Thai food I've had, although I'm not a good guide for identifying Thai food authenticity. That said, the Pad Thai was not pleasing to my palette. Personally, it was too salty.
I do like that they their happy hour ends at 8pm on a Friday night, which is pretty late compared to other restaurants, and they are open late as well. Pad Thai -$17 + $4 to add chicken“

“This quaint amazing Japanese restaurant is a hidden gem in Boyle Heights. Very friendly staff and great food. They also let me order 10 minutes before closing. The only, minor, complaints are that there is very limited seating, they have a limited menu and they operate limited hours.“
