Atmosphere wise, it's not that loud given how tiny the space is.

“Living in the boonies of San Diego Co has benefits…(no traffic jams)…but few awesome perks…(like Tiki bars!!) Luckily the gods aligned, in Orange Co, and our last stop was the Stowaway. Intriguing, dark-painted, one small door marked the front of a strip-mall establishment… hmmm…sorta scary…but not really!! But there were two of us, and we had researched this place…so… The doorman looked at us, said a few things and unlocked a chain. We walked through curtains into the darkest bar I had ever been in, and shuffled toward the green lit bar…which turned red, then blue. The girl bartender handed us a card which we couldn’t read…it was really dark inside. From the shadows, up walked a bearded guy wearing a black shirt with hibiscus’s, smiled, extended his hand and said, “Hi, I’m “WILL”…can I explain anything to you? We had lots of questions…about drinks, Tiki ceramics, glassware, appetizers…and WILL cheerfully explained everything…He was fun, cheery, smart, and So Nice!! He brought us amazing drinks (a Tropical Margarita, a Cococano and totally fun ceramic sculptures from which to drink…an Angler Zombie Fish with a light, and Carved Volcano mug that had a flame show-by WILL, included!! Awesome!!) Totally wonderful décor…lights, bamboo furniture, comfy stools, the Skull Cave and waterfall, starry night ceiling, cool pool tables with lotsa room around them…everything thought through perfectly!!! We are definitely going back…VERY soon!!!! Thanks so much for everything, WILL!!“

Truly feels like a second home (with a lot more booze- lol) If you get to meet the bartender Kat you’re in for the best time. I’ve adored her since the minute she started there. I haven’t seen her as much lately- hope that changes. Other than that, this place is truly the best local bar in Orange County.“

“They have great food and a fantastic venue to listen to quality musicians! I was there last night with my husband. We got to hear Kenny Metcalf perform Elton John’s Deep Cuts. It was SO good! Kenny Metcalf performed songs I have only heard on Elton John’s albums. I’m so delighted I got to see this particular show!! WOW! It was off the charts musically and Kenny is such a talented singer and musician. When I closed my eyes I thought Elton was singing. The band was amazing too. That guitar player that I don’t remember his name, played a few solo guitar riffs that had everyone in the room clapping. The sold out venue was electric with the sound of Elton John’s deep cuts that I would never have heard live. So amazingly well done!!!! I left with a big smile on my face. I’m going to tell all my friends about Campus Jax….“

“My wife and I love this place! It's tucked into a corner of the strip mall and attached to a number of food options. It's windows are usually open so it's a great stop on a nice afternoon. Omar is an upbeat, fun bartender with creative drink ideas and a joy to hang with. Good music, nice vibes and a cherished secret in a sea of corporate offices.“

“First off I don’t ever spend time reviewing places that I have visited. With that being said, I had to leave a review because this place is an amazing local spot that had such a friendly and engaging staff. The drinks were phenomenal and the patrons were all super friendly local residents.
The place looks great inside but it makes sense because the new owners did a complete gut job to make it all brand new. Hope this place stays open for many years to come.“

Elevated south of the border food and perhaps Laguna Beach's best burger - thick 8 oz patty with cheese, grilled onions, arugula and bone marrow mayonnaise. now available with a fried egg and bacon on top too.

I ordered it with a second patty for $15 extra and the dark purple Okinawa fries, which were next level - cooked crunchy for the most part, like chips! we ended up sharing the second patty... 12 oz of beef for both of us for less $$ than the 12 oz steak!

After we came the first time, I was CRAVING the Okinawa fries and I told several people about this place. Other friends have tried it and told me how good it was!

their menu is 95% gluten free without any substitutions! they make nearly everything in house. no generic sysco food here!

“Fun place bartenders are nice, They host Pool league and a Dart league several nights a week dart players are older folks who can be slightly rude but otherwise fun place for any night of the week they have TouchTunes jukebox that has an app you can pick almost any song you can think of it's fun“

“A strip mall bar, that is exactly what it should be. Locals at the bar, cheap drinks and a jukebox playing. Will return for the drink prices alone and I'll stay for the good vibes.
Also the beer selection was excellent. Just good ol' reliable classics. Not a whole lot for the beer nerds but this isn't really that kinda place.“

“Wow! What a fantastic experience. First, I need to touch upon the fact that Rosa was absolutely incredible. I was the only one in the lounge on a Monday evening, and she took the best care of me. She explained everything about Kava and answered all my questions, she is clearly very educated on the root. She was such a doll. And then Josh came in for his shift and again, couldn't be more impressed! An intelligent, kind man whom I had great conversation.

The Kava itself was of the purest form and delicious. My favorite combo is the coconut cream and chai. I felt great drinking it.

The vibes were immaculate. So relaxing, great music. Comfortable seating. Can't wait to return.“

The wait staff and servers they were all on point very attentive I never had to look around to look for anyone if I raised my head somebody was right at my table to find out what I needed or how they could serve me. “i've been a big fan of yardhouse happy hour since i started going to it back in 2021 in Long beach. now that i dont frequent the one in LB, this costa mesa location is the closest. the happy hour here is probably my #1, great selection choices, and overall, great beer selection too. highly recommend the chicken tenders, pizzas, and poke nachos!“

“Went in on a Friday night and the place had a nice energy without feeling too crowded. The bartenders were friendly and actually took the time to help me pick a drink I ended up really liking. Prices seemed fair for the area, and the music was at a good volume where you could still have a conversation. Food was decent too, especially the appetizers. Service got a little slow later in the evening, but nothing that really took away from the experience. Overall, it was a pretty good spot to relax with friends and I'd probly come back again.“

The Guild Club James has a great vibe, nice cocktail program, and a kitchen that clearly takes the food seriously. It's a solid option for a more casual but still elevated dining experience in the Huntington Beach area. I've started recommending it to clients relocating to the HB corridor who are looking for neighborhood spots with personality. The crowd skews young and energetic which gives the space a great energy. Will be back and will definitely bring clients.“

To erase the negativity, our hotel clerk recommended this jewel of a bar across street...from the moment we stepped into this place, it turned into an awesome experience and made our last night in town, fun and relaxing. Pool, music, people...genuine. The lovely, energetic and experienced bartender, was absolutely on-top of ensuring not just us, but that all the clients, were taken care of. If you want to distress and wipe off the negativity, this is the place to be!“

“Khan Saab is by far one of the best South Asian restaurants I've been too. Everything on the menu is inventive and unique but the flavors are a comfort. I can honestly order anything on the menu and be surprised. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The ambiance is quiet and charming. I wish there was a location closer to home but we will gladly drive here in the meantime.“

This here's our bar, our heartbeat. Fourth we light it up, holidays on lock, pool tables bruised from our elbows, salt and lager thick as perfume. Ensenada-Newport race? Honey, we command this place like pirates. The Owner finally did somethin' right-floor don't grab my flip-flops, somebody's moppin'! Jeff's still king behind the bar, new gals laugh real, pour cold, TVs sharp as knives. Only hitch-get Cruisers to wing it over so we quit dodgin' Death Trap Balboa Boulevard.
