First of all, they use organic coffee beans and organic whole milk as an automatic in the lattes!! This is literally my dream come true.

“Had a craving for coffee after walking by the beach so I googled spots nearby. With so many options (never Starbucks) I saw this one had a pretty fair amount of good reviews. It’s pretty small, not a lot of seating, but you’re by the beach so not really a priority.
I took a look at the specialty menu and I have to say, nothing too crazy. I settled in the cherries and cream latte. I didn’t really taste anything special. The coffee itself wasn’t bad, just didn’t stand out“

“This was my first stop in my café passport (I recommend getting one) and I had the absolute BEST experience!! The staff were so friendly and even got me a sticker for my passport, we tried the sweet cream cold brew and the hot chocolate , both were REALLY good! I ordered the All I Avo Wanted - Blue corn, waffle, smashed avocado, feta, shaved radish, over easy egg, chili flakes, hemp seeds, salsa macha. I mean, holy moly. “Tried this gem on vacation and visited twice during our short trip. Had the best spicy dirty chai & the al capp special on an onion bagel was so good. The iced coffee comes with coffee ice cubes, which is a nice touch. Walking to the beach to eat breakfast and watch the morning surfers was very nice. I'll be making an al capp special at home until we meet again.“

“Basic quick service (Halal!) noodle house with a variety of hand pulled noodles and appetizers and more. The noodles are good but lack the bouncy and texture of great hand pulled noodles. The beef noodle soup was solid but I definitely recommend adding vinegar as well as their great salt/pepper combo in the shaker. Appetizers: black fungus salad, cucumber salad and Chinese pickles cabbage w're all good. Service was attentive and friendly. If you want a quick noodle dish, this is fine but better options are out there.“

“Had a quick pho at Saiga during lunch and ended up sharing a table with a stranger, definitely a rushed experience as I had to move quickly for the next person’s turn. Personally, I don’t think I’ll be back, as the pho didn’t quite justify the price for me. That said, their business model is nice and efficient, catering well to the busy lunch crowd. A cool concept, but not my go-to for pho in OC.“

“A Wonderful Discovery in Costa Mesa

As a new customer at The Lost Bean in Costa Mesa, I couldn’t be more delighted with my experience. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed into a space that is clean, well maintained, and peaceful — perfect for relaxing or getting work done.

The coffee is excellent, crafted with care and consistency. The food is fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. Everything I’ve tried has been outstanding.

What makes this place even better is the staff, especially a gentleman named Chris. He is kind, sincere, smart, and attentive. He creates a welcoming atmosphere and seems to play a major role in running the shop.

The entire team is friendly and helpful, but Chris stands out. I hope the management team recognizes him and lets him know he is appreciated. He makes a big difference.

Because of him and the great environment, The Lost Bean has quickly become one of my favorite places in Costa Mesa.
