“i'm from LA and have been SEARCHING for a gelato shop that makes it the authentic italian way, with no artificial dyes/flavors and the correct texture. i stumbled across this place while in newport with my family and knew i had to try it immediately when i saw the way the gelato is stored (in the steel tins, as opposed to giant mountains like most places in the US). definitely not disappointed. the flavors were done perfectly and not overly sweet, and you could so tell it was natural. i honestly think it's worth the 2 hour drive from LA to come back here🤣 please open a second location“

The venue is gorgeous of course and it's difficult to leave roaming the beautiful nursery & craft store area to get to your reservation so give yourself plenty of time during your visit for shopping. The capable service staff is eager to please and every dish is thoughtfully prepared/presented. A couple of our favorite dishes are: the Asian beef short ribs & the Pomegranate & balsamic glazed salmon salad which are reasonably priced and delicious. A bonus for us as Guide Dog puppy raisers is they're dog friendly.“

“I know this is a pizza place but their chicken nuggets are sooo good tooo! I have friends who love the pizza and one of my friends are gluten free are able to especially enjoy it because they can make a pizza with gluten free crust and he never gotten a bad reaction from it. “Thanksgiving holiday meal, so a bit noisy and crowded to be expected. Arrived at 3:15 for 3:30 reservation and were greeted and seated immediately. Our server was excellent, with a smile and helpfulness in wine selection. Never felt rushed throughout the meal and staff was only at the table when needed. Perfect for when you want to relax and enjoy the food and company. The food was excellent especially the option of a plate with both prime rib & turkey. Every year it was frustrating to decide which of these favorites to have and The Bungalow menu made that easy with the combo. Why don't more places do that. Definitely would go back for holiday or special occasion meals. A great meal, great service and a great place to dine.“

“The summer house is a general go to for American food. The prices are on the high side for the food you get. We generally go here for a quick meal. The server we got tonight is little hard on hospitality and same experience we had before from him. I think he has been there a while and regulars get better service and not so short with service at there tables from.what we noticed.“

I love their bowls—they’re colorful, vibrant, and packed with flavor. The nut balls are a go-to snack for me, and their side options are thoughtful and just as satisfying as the mains. The portions are so big that splitting a large is easy, which makes it perfect for sharing with the kids. What makes it even better is how much my kids enjoy it too, which is rare when it comes to healthy spots.

The people working here add to the experience. They’re friendly and welcoming, always making sure you feel taken care of. Every time I leave, I feel both full and energized, which is exactly how healthy food should be.
