“Incredibly delicious and so happy they had a substantial sandwich on focaccia. Relaxed neighborhood with easier parking, tucked away from hustle and bustle of downtown. Beautiful views of the city from here, and DASH bus stop, scooter rental and bike share make it accessible by transit Updated from previous review on 2026-06-27“

“Busy on the weekends and mornings so recommend coming here on a weekday. We came here during Wednesday for dinner and did not have to wait. They were out of the chicken rice but had everything else. You order at the front and then get a seat. They don’t do reservations so best to come with a small group of 2-3. Highlights on the menu for us we’re the French Toast and Pork Belly Rice. The French Toast was sweet with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. Overall, great place with good prices and would come back!“

“My first time there wanted to see what all the fuss was about. Upon going in they had a nice little crowd, the staff was nice and helpful. So my box of 4 cookies $19 was brownie batter, not bad, could use some nuts walnuts, or pecans, . My favorite cookie chocolate chip also could use some nuts walnuts or pecans and cooked a little longer. Next was funnel cake. Kind of like that one crunchy, not sure if it really tasted like funnel cake, but I liked it. Then cake batter thins not too bad either.“

“Stopped by on a busy Saturday morning. It’s a really nice and pretty spot to enjoy brunch with friends, and the atmosphere is welcoming. The only downside for me was that the pastries were a little dry for my liking, but overall it was still a nice experience.“

“Oh my goodness! This place was such a beautiful find. I absolutely loved all the options they had for gluten-free and dairy free. I got the lemon cake and two of the sprinkle cookies to bring home to me and my family. The bread options are amazing for gluten-free as well. I ended up getting their chorizo and egg for breakfast. Absolutely amazing food. On the side I got tater tots, they were crunchy and very tasty. Not greasy, which is hard to do when you fry something. We sat in the back where the wine area is because it was really hot that day so the ambience in that little area was very quirky and eclectic. It’s a very comforting delicious place to go visit if you’re hankering for some gluten-free, dairy free pastries. Did I mention the entire place is vegan!“

“Gluten free pastries are hard to find, delicious pastries are harder to find but Cakegirl has successfully turned GF pastries a joy to enjoy. The cookies are so soft and flavorful. The chocolate donut although not fluffy and airy like what one would expect it’s more like an old fashion style donut, it’s soft and moist and most importantly chocolaty.“

“I recently ordered a picture cake from Red Ribbon Bakeshop's South Vermont Los Angeles location for the second time, and once again, they made my family's birthday celebration extra special. The picture cake is such an amazing touch - beautifully made, delicious, and always a big hit with family and friends. We truly love Red Ribbon products, from the cakes to the pastries, because everything is consistently fresh and flavorful.
A special thank you to Ms. Chello and her staff for their outstanding customer service. Everyone was very accommodating, friendly, and attentive, making sure everything went smoothly with my order. Their kindness and professionalism truly made my experience even better, and it's one of the reasons I happily keep coming back.
The ambiance of the store is welcoming, clean, and cheerful, making every visit pleasant. You can really feel the warmth and hospitality the moment you walk in.
I am a loyal customer and will always consider Red Ribbon for my family's celebrations. Thank you to Ms. Chello and the entire team for always helping make our special occasions even more memorable!“

“Long-standing bakery in Chinatown that’s probably become LA iconic spot to visit when around the area. Interestingly they might have kept most design unchanged so you could totally felt it in the store vibe.
It’s constantly busy throughout the day but they served very speedily and they had plenty of servers making the line moving in a blink. Good news, they weren’t cash only like typical similar store around the area.
They’re popular for the strawberry cream cake, but I chose to go with the custard bun and wintermelon pie as I wasn’t a fan of that kind of cream and spongecake.
The bun was fluffy and moist and tasted as good as the scent we could smell when walking around the bakery. Always loved when simple old-school stuff turned out good and stuck with people’s liking. The wintermelon pie base somewhat reminded me of the crumbly style mooncake skin, just that this one had unique filling. I loved wintermelon as a drink but this was my first time having it as pie!“

“A friend brought me their Matcha almond croissant, the Black forest Cake even though it really wasn't a black forest it was totally delicious as well as the matcha almond croissant. The croissant can rival any French bakery. It was buttery, soft and absolutely delicious. Thank you ,JJ Bakery“

“Super delicious croissants. They rotate items very often last time I got the spinach salmon croissant it was super delicious. Today they do not have that croissant they have some other stuff, so if you see something that you like, get it, get two because next time it may not be available. The almond croissant was super filling. Usually pastry items are just like bite into air and I got hungry very soon. Not this little bakery everything tastes legit. Got the almond croissant ate it in the car at 9:00 something in the morning and wasn't hungry until 4:00 p.m. get there early because the parking is small and croissants sold out fast“

“Stepping into Twice Baked Baking Company on E Wardlow Road in Long Beach is an absolute treat for anyone seeking safe, allergy-friendly indulgences. As a completely dedicated gluten-free and peanut-free facility, it offers total peace of mind the moment you walk through the door.
The display cases are packed with incredible choices, from remarkably flaky almond croissants to rich, freshly baked treats that prove gluten-free baking never compromises on authentic texture and flavor.
Exploring specialty spots like this makes road-tripping so rewarding, and having a reliable, gluten-free snack like PROTABAR on hand fits right into that routine for steady energy between stops. This wonderful local gem easily earns a five-star rating and is an absolute must-visit destination in Long Beach.“

“Clark Street Bakery delivers a premium experience every time. Their breads and pastries are clearly crafted with care, and while they charge a premium, the quality absolutely matches it. I come here several times a week because everything, from the food to the atmosphere, feels elevated. The two managers, Ms. Nalani and Mr. Rafael, always greet me warmly, though I never need their help since there’s nothing to complain about. My only wish is that they didn’t close so sharply at 3 PM; staying open until 4 would be perfect. And the barista lady consistently makes the coffee better whenever she’s on shift.“

“If you’re looking for authentic Japanese traditional sweets in Gardena, Chikara Mochi is a must-visit! Their yaki dango (similar to mitarashi dango) is absolutely delicious—soft, chewy, and perfectly balanced without being overly sweet.
They also have a beautiful selection of wagashi and mochi that are almost too cute to eat. Everything is colorful, photogenic, and clearly made with care.
The staff were incredibly friendly and took the time to explain the different sweets, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I can’t wait to come back and try more!“

“The holy trinity of Sunset Triangle: The WIndow, Pine and Crane, AND THE ONE ABOVE ALL - UNITED BREAD & PASTRY.
Mark and the entire team have built and sustained the essence of mom & pop shop in an area where it feels seemingly impossible. From the intoxicatingly sweet aroma, to the treasure trove of assorted peanuts - this place is deserved of your time and tastebuds.
Out of Coke Zero? Head to United. Need a sweet treat? Head to United. Need a whole Lechon. Need I say?
Big fan. BIIIIIG fan!“

“Grade A+ (96): Small little kitchen, don't know how much food can come out of it!! They have a small little sitting area, but we most often do it as take out. The Jambon Beurre (Ham and Butter) are my favorite, the Baguette 🥖 is awesome and they put a hefty amount of butter and French Ham very thinking sliced. The Ham & Cheese and the Chocolate Croissants are very good but you have to go early, by 12:30 they were sold out! The guys are very friendly, prices are a bit on the high side but what can you do, it's unique.“

“Updated 06/2026
This place has been around for years, but it’s not always been our go-to. We used to love Won Kok, but after so many years and my palate changing a bit, that place just wasn’t doing it for me anymore. So about 3 years ago I first tried Long’s Family Pastry, and I’m glad we did. My favorite is the sui mai, so juicy and delicious. The steamed BBQ pork is okay, but the Ham Gok, those balls of fried sticky rice with meat filling are absolutely amazing, super flavorful! The congee was also really good, perfectly comforting. We also enjoyed some typical turnip cake (love it everywhere), and steamed half-moons, they were all good! Definitely give them a visit“
