“Its a beautiful cosy place, takes you back in time. The cakes, as you can see in the video look delicious (didn't try one though). We had the lemon pancakes which were AMAZING, also the breakfast burrito which was really delicious as well and very filling. Their coffees were also flavourful and strong.Lastly, salmon with potato pancakes..which I personally didn't really like.. they had a funny taste.. quite soggy.. something about the salmon? Or the eggs? I didn't understand but unfortunately has a weird and not good taste.“

“They lived up to the hype both the pork belly and the wontons tasted absolutely good. I can highly recommend it. Qmd we did not hear any names being called during for those on the wait list. Thought the wait time can be long. Bring ansun umbrella for sunny days. Their locals are rather small for the high demand.“

“The olympic sandwich is so good I highly reccomend it. It tastes better than the traditional bahn mi yet it still maintains the familiar taste that we all know and love. The interior is also very clean and aesthetic so I would come back to try out the other sandwiches!“

“4++ great neighborhood coffee shop that has fun, chill vibes, and enthusiastic service. There's fun decor inside and looks like a place where people can hang out or get some reading and/or work done. I only got an Americano or drip from here (with added cream), so I can't really speak to the food items or any of the more complex, possibly more sugary drinks here. It looks like they roast their own beans here as well. I had a lot of coffee at home at the time of my visit, so I didn't buy a bag. I might have to come back and grab one. Parking was easy to find. There's a lot on the side of the building. If the lot is full, I'm pretty sure you could find street parking close by.“

“Service was fantastic and the wait wasn't too long at all!! I got the chopped cheese sandwich, fries, & the black sesame oat milk espresso beverage. Chopped cheese - this was delicious!! The taste reminded me a lot of In N Out just with a more hardy bread. I only ate half so thought it was very filling. At $16 it felt pricey but since I took half home I didn't mind!! Criss Cut Fries - this was your typical fry, I enjoyed them but wouldn't get again for $6. Black Sesame Bev - This had a really unique flavor profile but ultimately was just too sweet for me. I'm glad I tried it but would get something stronger next time! I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich! I think I'd only get the chopped cheese again if I was in a real want for a fast food cheeseburger feeling.“

“Quality of food was amazing. Taste was amazing. Customer service was excellent. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was joyful. We ordered 3 fluffy pancakes ( mango , Hazelnut, and Matcha) and all were delicious. Savory Eggs Benedict were so good and the potatoes just melt in your mouth. The breakfast comes with fresh salad and I ordered the sesame dressing, it was delicious. Karaage bento box was also very savory, the best karaage Chicken I have had so far in the Bay. “This is actually a review for Homegirl's catering service: I hired Homegirl to cater my book launch at the University of Southern California. Nadine was super easy to work with in planning out the kinds of foods I wanted for my event. Abel did an excellent job finding our venue and setting up a delicious spread. I got turkey sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, and vegan sandwiches. Everything was delicious on fresh bread baked by Homegirl. We also had agua frescas, hummus, and salad. The hummus was actually so popular that I barely got to try any. My guests ate it all! Note to self: order extra hummus next time. Putting on an event is time consuming and stressful, but Homegirl made the food portion of my event easier to manage. I highly recommend them. They will be at the top of my list for future catering events.“

“I was in the area for a tire and in desperate need of coffee. I asked the barista which to get and they recommended the horchata latte, I got it with half the sweetener, iced and it was perfect. I even splurged and got a the tomato & mozzarella empanada (also recommend by the barista) chefs kiss! Came with a chipotle sauce of some kind and so fresh. I also opted for the spinach, egg and cheese empanada which was also delicious. Will definitely be back when in the area.“
“Blue Lounge is an amazing lounge to sit and enjoy Shisha. They have a large variety of tobacco flavors and all pipes are "Regals" unless you choose a different specialty pipe they offer. This place is safe, clean and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. Plenty of lighted parking out front and a large outdoor patio with heaters and seating outback. I love smoking here and will continue to visit GG and team!“

“I ordered the chicken fried steak and it tastes was savory, fresh and crispy. The gravy was smooth, creamy and not so salty. The service is very responsive and respectful however this place does get packed so expect a wait time. Ambiance feels like a hole in the wall type dinner as the location is in between many other shops in a shopping area. Well worth the wait.“

“Delicious cheesecakes.I've been there twice. We've tried Cookies & Cream and pecan with chocolate sauce. It's advertised as caramel. However, it's dark and doesn't taste like caramel.I scrape it off and use my own syrup. That's my only gripe about that particular cheesecake.I would recommend people try them.**I would also love for them to have more flavors available.“

“Last minute search for a breakfast/brunch type spot and found Marin Cafe. It's located in an area off of Rosmead that shares a small parking lot with Zapien's Salsa Grill. It is a small lot but there's parking on the other side. I went while it was raining in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The cafe is a small shop with 3 four-seater tables so not good for huge groups. But the decor was really cute and cozy. A mix of cafe and small bakery. Love the painted walls with the cake and bakery items painted on. There was a large display case of various bakery good from conchas, to croissants, to cakes and cake slices. Everything looked so good. Brisa (I hope I didn't spell her name incorrectly, apologies!) was our barista and she was lovely. Very friendly and let us take our time, she answered my bf's questions about the food. We chatted here and there and then placed our orders with her. She kept us updated on our food as they made the wrong sandwich for me and needed to remake it which was no problem and appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered a concha, with an Abuelita hot latte, a mocha hot latte, breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Recommend the Abuelita hot latte for sure, perfect on a rainy cold day. The chocolatey spice from the Abuelita was so good with the espresso, the mocha was great as well great blend of chocolate and coffee. Now the breakfast sandwich was bomb, presentation and taste were great. Eggs were hot and fluffy, bacon crispy, with ham, and refreshing tomato avocado and lettuce with a honey mustard type sauce. It also came with a side of potato salad, pickles and banana peppers. The potato salad is EXACTLY how I like it, not mayonnaise-y and sweet. Brekfast burrito was nice and filling too, bf said he'd definitely add bacon next time as mine was crispy in my sandwich hash browns were crispy and the creamy lime cilantro sauce was so good with it. I also ordered a slice of the mocha tres leches cake...so good not overly sweet and mocha wasn't too strong. The cake was overly saturated with milk which I would've like but it had the right amount of moistness so not to make it soggy. All in all definitely reccomend this little gem of a cafe. Owners and staff are all friendly and the food and drinknwere fantastic. Definitely coming back for more cake!“

“One of my favorite eateries in the world. I’m from France and this is one of the few places that is as indulgent as home with their baked goods. A must try if you’re in the area!“

“Best dessert in La.. hands down. service is amazing, the owner is actively working which is really nice to see. The owner has been working here for a couple years, and treats my family with so much respect. Always gives stuff as service and creates the best crafted Korean desserts. The strawberry bingsoo is a classic and it's a creamy, milky, and sweet. The fish bread are my absolute favorite. The custard is steaming hot where the breading is so crispy and has a mochi-like texture. Please support this business! The owner deserves all the hype!“

“TMJ Café - A Haven for Donut Lovers If there's one thing you must try at TMJ Café, it's their Maple Bacon Donut. This delightful treat is nothing short of phenomenal. The donut itself is pillow-soft, providing the perfect canvas for the rich, sweet and savory toppings. The maple glaze is expertly balanced - not too sweet, just perfectly syrupy, complementing the crispy, savory bacon on top. Each bite is a harmonious blend of flavors and textures that leaves you craving more. The ambiance of TMJ Café adds to the experience, with a cozy and inviting atmosphere. It's clear that they put a lot of love and care into their baked goods. And if the Maple Bacon Donut is anything to go by, the rest of their menu promises to be just as delightful. In summary, TMJ Café is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. Their Maple Bacon Donut is a standout, and I am eagerly looking forward to indulging in the rest of their delicious offerings. Oh goodness gracious, this is a donut lover's dream come true!“

“Canyon Coffee literally shook my world. My brother and I were visiting from Florida, doing what we always do - in search of the BEST coffee shop experiences imagineable. Canyon blew our expectations out of the water. We were greeted by the coolest cat, Carlos, with a bold, yet incredibly friendly stature. He knew the menu like the back of his hand. I landed on the eloquent “Hot Japanese Brown Sugar Latte”. LIKE WHAT!! Craft of the craft, one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Yes, “my bro and I are twins”, I told him. Little did I know we were about to be served a delectable slice of perfectly baked Banana Sesame bread made by a local queen. Impressively moist. Yep, I said it. From the time we walked in, we felt like we were home. A pleasant experience all the way around.Dialed in coffee. Amazing service. Great chats. Insanely styled atmosphere. Food was unreal. Phenomenal experience. We will be back for more… one day. Bring this to Florida asap please.“

“Ate here on a Saturday morning with my son. We both got pancakes shared some sausage, eggs, and french fries ( my son's request. He's 4) The pancakes were fluffy and delicious. The server was nice and I could tell they didn't want to overwhelm her. As you saw in other reviews, this place has some funny rules. Since we were very hungry, once she came over to take our drink orders we were ready to get the kitchen started on our food. I started to place the order for our food and the server stopped me and said that another table that came in before us hasn't ordered yet. And that it would be fair to wait. I didn't like this at all but the other table placed their order immediately after so it wasn't too bad. I'm gonna wait until they fix some staffing and operations issues before I go back, even though the food was good.“

“I really like Honey Hi. The food is healthy, and always gives me great energy. I used to always frequent this place and yet the salmon bowl -- which was pretty expensive. I'm not sure if they still make it. Everything is expensive considering the portions, and I've unfortunately had to cut back eating here in an effort to save a bit more money. But if I could afford to eat here everyday, I definitely would!“

“Minimalist coffee shop located in the same plaza as Hae Jae Chon. Came here while waiting for a table and it was a nice place to relax. A fair amount of people were also studying in this cafe. I tried the matcha latte with matcha cloud foam and a ham and cheese croissant. The drink took a while to be made but there was only one person working the counter and he was doing his best. The croissant did get warmed up so that was nice. My friend enjoyed her Vienna latte (this came with a biscoff cookie) and it was indeed a creamy drink.“

“This is a really cute tiny spot right across the metro on Flower Street. The inside is very minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. I did hear a lot of wonderful things about their matcha but sadly they were out for the day, which is okay it happens; I'll definitely be back for it! The owner was super sweet and a very helpful guy. All the menu items come with oat milk automatically, which is cool- you can always substitute with another milk except for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. I got the two best selling coffees which was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch + G Spot - I loved the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one it was perfectly flavored, but the G Spot one I had to toss as it was sooooooo sweet it was like drinking sugar; but Im sure that can be pleasant for sweet tooths so I'm not judging! The menu is super extensive so Im pretty sure there is something for everyone to love! Pricing is very high up there, but Im also not going to judge on that as cost of goods are flying through the roof for restaurant industries as well. Overall pretty good :)“

“This cafe shares a space with the lobby of kodo hotel, and is beautiful Japanese minimalism at its peak. That being said, it must get slow because both the lobby reception and cafe barista were looking bored and on their devices when I stepped in. It was a bummer that they were already out of pastries to not have a little sweet something to accompany my usual espresso, so I opted for an oat cortado which was lovely. The coffee and ambiance in their mini outside patio was nice.“

“Cute brunch spot w unique things. Parking is annoying to find (just street parking), there was a wait, and tbh some service was kinda rude they have experimental dishes, but overall I think we ordered well and got good food! Seasonal Shaq ($19)- tbh, this tasted like tomato sauce in a pan for me but my friend really likes their shakshuka so maybe I'm unseasoned. Their bread is yummy and fun! Rainbow Toast ($15) - their viral toast, it was good! Brioche was fluffy with nice variety of jams. Think it's steeply priced so I feel like I could make this at home LOL but good to try once Classic Latke tot ($19) - crowd favorite, this was unique and really good! Superrrr crispy potato with a lovely balance of flavors (salty/briney roe, creamy creme fraiche, sweet jam) Just a little expensive for the portion but I'd get this again! Crispy works ($15) - also a favorite from us! Crispy rice was delicious with a really good balance of flavors. It's not heavy and this portion was also really good for the price, also would get this again! Instagram - @joangela.eats“

“Short commentaryOverall a good stop for breakfast.More complete commentaryThe food was excellent. I get a little pissed off when I can’t find salt and pepper or my own sweeteners to cater to my food the way I like. Reminders of that ignorance factor perpetuated in Starbucks post Covid Like there is value and not touching your own sweeteners That said the people were very polite clean kind. Just a little bit too much of that present generation separation of people from people that keeps showing up in these more modern venues. I’m also intrigued by places that push the tipping on you with their computer tablet process in places where you’re not really getting traditional tipping service. I believe my criticism is more of the company and its decisions in design than any of the people or food quality matters.Like I said, in the beginning - a pretty good stop for breakfast.“
