“Everything about MacroFit Coffee Bar is top quality! The staff, the food, the organization and the convenience. Ordering ahead or scanning for their mobile menu takes seconds. The ingredients they use are fresh in every meal they make. The other day they made a bomb Peanut-Butter/Banana/Chocolate protein shake that changed my life! The baristas are super dope, always attentive and are always having a good time. Highly recommended for anything pre or post workout. MacroFit coffee Bar has everything you need and just steps away from the gym. 10/10 highly recommend!“

“Its a beautiful cosy place, takes you back in time. The cakes, as you can see in the video look delicious (didn't try one though). We had the lemon pancakes which were AMAZING, also the breakfast burrito which was really delicious as well and very filling. Their coffees were also flavourful and strong.Lastly, salmon with potato pancakes..which I personally didn't really like.. they had a funny taste.. quite soggy.. something about the salmon? Or the eggs? I didn't understand but unfortunately has a weird and not good taste.“

“4++ great neighborhood coffee shop that has fun, chill vibes, and enthusiastic service. There's fun decor inside and looks like a place where people can hang out or get some reading and/or work done. I only got an Americano or drip from here (with added cream), so I can't really speak to the food items or any of the more complex, possibly more sugary drinks here. It looks like they roast their own beans here as well. I had a lot of coffee at home at the time of my visit, so I didn't buy a bag. I might have to come back and grab one. Parking was easy to find. There's a lot on the side of the building. If the lot is full, I'm pretty sure you could find street parking close by.“

“Service was fantastic and the wait wasn't too long at all!! I got the chopped cheese sandwich, fries, & the black sesame oat milk espresso beverage. Chopped cheese - this was delicious!! The taste reminded me a lot of In N Out just with a more hardy bread. I only ate half so thought it was very filling. At $16 it felt pricey but since I took half home I didn't mind!! Criss Cut Fries - this was your typical fry, I enjoyed them but wouldn't get again for $6. Black Sesame Bev - This had a really unique flavor profile but ultimately was just too sweet for me. I'm glad I tried it but would get something stronger next time! I'd like to go back and try a different sandwich! I think I'd only get the chopped cheese again if I was in a real want for a fast food cheeseburger feeling.“

“This is actually a review for Homegirl's catering service: I hired Homegirl to cater my book launch at the University of Southern California. Nadine was super easy to work with in planning out the kinds of foods I wanted for my event. Abel did an excellent job finding our venue and setting up a delicious spread. I got turkey sandwiches, roast beef sandwiches, and vegan sandwiches. Everything was delicious on fresh bread baked by Homegirl. We also had agua frescas, hummus, and salad. The hummus was actually so popular that I barely got to try any. My guests ate it all! Note to self: order extra hummus next time. Putting on an event is time consuming and stressful, but Homegirl made the food portion of my event easier to manage. I highly recommend them. They will be at the top of my list for future catering events.“

“Last minute search for a breakfast/brunch type spot and found Marin Cafe. It's located in an area off of Rosmead that shares a small parking lot with Zapien's Salsa Grill. It is a small lot but there's parking on the other side. I went while it was raining in the morning around 9 so it was pretty empty. The cafe is a small shop with 3 four-seater tables so not good for huge groups. But the decor was really cute and cozy. A mix of cafe and small bakery. Love the painted walls with the cake and bakery items painted on. There was a large display case of various bakery good from conchas, to croissants, to cakes and cake slices. Everything looked so good. Brisa (I hope I didn't spell her name incorrectly, apologies!) was our barista and she was lovely. Very friendly and let us take our time, she answered my bf's questions about the food. We chatted here and there and then placed our orders with her. She kept us updated on our food as they made the wrong sandwich for me and needed to remake it which was no problem and appreciated. The food was delicious! We ordered a concha, with an Abuelita hot latte, a mocha hot latte, breakfast burrito and breakfast sandwich. Recommend the Abuelita hot latte for sure, perfect on a rainy cold day. The chocolatey spice from the Abuelita was so good with the espresso, the mocha was great as well great blend of chocolate and coffee. Now the breakfast sandwich was bomb, presentation and taste were great. Eggs were hot and fluffy, bacon crispy, with ham, and refreshing tomato avocado and lettuce with a honey mustard type sauce. It also came with a side of potato salad, pickles and banana peppers. The potato salad is EXACTLY how I like it, not mayonnaise-y and sweet. Brekfast burrito was nice and filling too, bf said he'd definitely add bacon next time as mine was crispy in my sandwich hash browns were crispy and the creamy lime cilantro sauce was so good with it. I also ordered a slice of the mocha tres leches cake...so good not overly sweet and mocha wasn't too strong. The cake was overly saturated with milk which I would've like but it had the right amount of moistness so not to make it soggy. All in all definitely reccomend this little gem of a cafe. Owners and staff are all friendly and the food and drinknwere fantastic. Definitely coming back for more cake!“

I landed on the eloquent “Hot Japanese Brown Sugar Latte”. LIKE WHAT!! Craft of the craft, one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Yes, “my bro and I are twins”, I told him. Little did I know we were about to be served a delectable slice of perfectly baked Banana Sesame bread made by a local queen. Impressively moist. Yep, I said it. The server was nice and I could tell they didn't want to overwhelm her. As you saw in other reviews, this place has some funny rules. Since we were very hungry, once she came over to take our drink orders we were ready to get the kitchen started on our food. I started to place the order for our food and the server stopped me and said that another table that came in before us hasn't ordered yet. And that it would be fair to wait. “This is a really cute tiny spot right across the metro on Flower Street. The inside is very minimalistic and aesthetically pleasing. I did hear a lot of wonderful things about their matcha but sadly they were out for the day, which is okay it happens; I'll definitely be back for it! The owner was super sweet and a very helpful guy. All the menu items come with oat milk automatically, which is cool- you can always substitute with another milk except for the Cinnamon Toast Crunch Latte. I got the two best selling coffees which was the Cinnamon Toast Crunch + G Spot - I loved the Cinnamon Toast Crunch one it was perfectly flavored, but the G Spot one I had to toss as it was sooooooo sweet it was like drinking sugar; but Im sure that can be pleasant for sweet tooths so I'm not judging! The menu is super extensive so Im pretty sure there is something for everyone to love! Pricing is very high up there, but Im also not going to judge on that as cost of goods are flying through the roof for restaurant industries as well. Overall pretty good :)“

“This place was awesome! I'm an at home coffee drinker but the waitress recommended the Cardi P Latte and it was great! We also had the breakfast sandwich which was super tasty. I loved the decor and the outside seating, it was truly a peaceful place and I'd recommend it to anyone!“

“This cafe shares a space with the lobby of kodo hotel, and is beautiful Japanese minimalism at its peak. That being said, it must get slow because both the lobby reception and cafe barista were looking bored and on their devices when I stepped in. It was a bummer that they were already out of pastries to not have a little sweet something to accompany my usual espresso, so I opted for an oat cortado which was lovely. The coffee and ambiance in their mini outside patio was nice.“

“Cute brunch spot w unique things. Parking is annoying to find (just street parking), there was a wait, and tbh some service was kinda rude they have experimental dishes, but overall I think we ordered well and got good food! Seasonal Shaq ($19)- tbh, this tasted like tomato sauce in a pan for me but my friend really likes their shakshuka so maybe I'm unseasoned. Their bread is yummy and fun! Rainbow Toast ($15) - their viral toast, it was good! Brioche was fluffy with nice variety of jams. Think it's steeply priced so I feel like I could make this at home LOL but good to try once Classic Latke tot ($19) - crowd favorite, this was unique and really good! Superrrr crispy potato with a lovely balance of flavors (salty/briney roe, creamy creme fraiche, sweet jam) Just a little expensive for the portion but I'd get this again! Crispy works ($15) - also a favorite from us! Crispy rice was delicious with a really good balance of flavors. It's not heavy and this portion was also really good for the price, also would get this again! Instagram - @joangela.eats“

“Great local neighborhood whole in the wall Mexican restaurant with good portions. I was visiting LA and was craving a breakfast burrito but decided getting something similar to eggs mexicana. I ended getting the huevos mestizos as per the recommendation of the waiter. It was a good choice!“

“I have been a regular customer at Nice for at least five years. Getting my morning coffee here is always a treat, both for the impeccable coffee and for the customer service. The staff is warm, and the vibe is always light, even though they are working hard. They're located in a busy plaza in DTLA. They receive all kinds of customers and treat everyone well, and efficiently fulfill orders. I cannot speak more highly of Nice, the coffee, and the people that work there.“

“Short commentaryOverall a good stop for breakfast.More complete commentaryThe food was excellent. I get a little pissed off when I can’t find salt and pepper or my own sweeteners to cater to my food the way I like. Reminders of that ignorance factor perpetuated in Starbucks post Covid Like there is value and not touching your own sweeteners That said the people were very polite clean kind. Just a little bit too much of that present generation separation of people from people that keeps showing up in these more modern venues. I’m also intrigued by places that push the tipping on you with their computer tablet process in places where you’re not really getting traditional tipping service. I believe my criticism is more of the company and its decisions in design than any of the people or food quality matters.Like I said, in the beginning - a pretty good stop for breakfast.“

“We stopped here for coffee and dessert, the place is a bit old and needs to be cleaned and dusted, in general the restaurant is cozy, there are only three tables inside but more seating is available outside, but if you stay outside be prepared to smell smoking or weed from people passing by. We ordered Expresso and sweet bread, the coffee was really good and the bread was okay, not really amazing, lots of pictures on the wall from famous people, specially Jeni Rivera, but this area is dirty and definitely should be cleaned. The restroom is clean and lots of free parking is available.“
