“I've only ever gotten delivery so I can't rate on the atmosphere or the service but they make the best breakfast burritos I've ever had in my life. The bacon was always my favorite, they fill it to the brim with crispy bacon, but I just recently tried the pastrami and it slaps so hard my face almost hurt. The pastrami was absolutely delicious, huge pieces and so good inside the burrito with the crispy hashbrowns and egg... Seriously the most delicious breakfast burrito you could ever dream of. Their iced latte is on-point too.“
“Super cute coffee shop with very friendly staff and a lovely, sunny corner vibe. Definitely try their signature vanilla bourbon latte. It is excellent, and their large is actually a large, which I appreciate. A great spot to sit, relax, and enjoy the light.“

“This place is amazing and everyone here is so friendly. The food is delicious, I’ve gotten the breakfast burrito ( it’s pretty big and shareable) and I’ve gotten the Farmers breakfast here as well. For drinks the matcha, and their seasonal almond pride and joy is good. I highly recommend this place! Wish they had one in Downtown LA!“

“Went for special holiday meal. Food was delicious. Probably the tastiest chopped chicken liver I've ever tasted. Fabulous brisket, potato pancakes, noodle kugel. Service was extremely good. The server helped make the evening fun. Terrific cocktails helped too. Will eagerly come back to the restaurant for brunch and dinner.“

“I write for a music and coffee blog called Crooners In Coffeeshops, in which I interview local musicians at local coffeeshops. My writeup reflects the positive experience that I encountered at Cognoscenti Coffee on our interview date. Modern meets comfort with a hint of retro inside (and outside) Culver City’s Cognoscenti Coffee. Don’t let its small exterior fool you, because once you step inside you will be welcomed by a slew of cute bistro tables, industrial benches, and colorful chairs. But wait, there’s more! Veer to the right and catch a breath of fresh air in their somewhat secluded patio area. Whether you’re meeting with your bestie or having a writer’s meeting, you will easily be able to find a space to fit however many people in your party. Now let’s get to the good stuff! Cognoscenti’s beverage menu is comprised of the classics along with fun seasonal recipes in the mix. My drink of choice, the surprisingly refreshing Turmeric Latte. I wasn’t quite sure what I was getting myself into, but I’m very glad that my day to be adventurous was an enjoyable one with its perfect ratio of milk to spice. Hungry? Check out their selection of huge (and I mean huge) pastries to fill you up for breakfast or to hold you over until your group dinner in one of the Downtown Culver restaurants.“

“My first visit (randomly driving by) experience was a sufficiently good one to bring me back for a second visit today. I like the whole low-key book/chess/coffee/neighborhood vibe of this place. The counter person was again a pleasant soul. Ordered the coffee of the day, Italian, and a lemon bar. Both items were very very tasty and all that one would hope for. I'll be back in the future.“
“Wonderful experience very friendly“

“The best customer service I’ve ever had in a coffee shop! I was in Culver City for a musical event over the weekend and my wife and I popped into Philz. They are conveniently located in the heart of Culver City at the base of the steps. We had never been there before and my wife wanted a coffee and I wanted a tea. The menu was a little complicated but the person behind the counter went out of her way to try and help us navigate the difference between them and Starbucks. My wife got so flustered that she just gave up and all we wound up getting was a tea. This was not the fault of the person behind the counter. My wife just didn’t want to deal with it and assumed we would find a Starbucks nearby. My wife did not express this out loud, but the person behind the counter clearly saw my wife’s frustration. While waiting for the tea I grabbed a glass of water and informed the person who took our order that the water was out. It was at that point she asked me if my wife liked oat or regular milk. I was a little confused as my wife did not end up ordering any coffee. When I asked her why she was asking me this she told me that she made her a coffee anyway so that she could see if she liked it. I was so impressed with this I cannot begin to tell you. For the cost of a simple cup of coffee they gained enormous respect from me and a loyal customer the next time I'm nearby. She did not have to do this. It was above and beyond what customer service should be. If more businesses had this kind of attitude there would be a lot less businesses that go out of business. I commend the staff at this location and wish them the best of luck. Oh, by the way, my wife loved the coffee.“
“Young Hispanic guy that helped us was awesome! but his co-workers were a little loud and obnoxious yelling from behind the counter to other coworker in market about their personal life issues while the dude was making all drinks he even had to ask her to move out of his way while he's working and she was just yelling n doing nothing. So the 5 stars go to the young dude that was working today around 3pm. Thanks for my double iced shaken espresso with breve , sfvanilla and venti java chip It was perfect!“

“I love their teas and the mango smoothie! The mango smoothie with boba or any type of jelly is amazing.
I saw today that the store will close by the end of this month. I don't know if the team will see this, but I wanted to say how much this place meant for me at least.
During covid, like most people, me and my boyfriend were having financially hard time, also pretty bad job situations. We were sleeping in a twin bed together in a bachelors unit type of financial situation. One day, my boyfriend, stressed and wanting to give up, got like a mango smoothie as a sweet treat. It was a big purchase for us at the time but every sip was worth it. It became like a bi-weekly treat for us, where he would get a drink on the way home and we would share it. During my birthday, we got a large size mango smoothie as a super treat that day haha.
Now, I am financially way stable, we are still in the area, much better living situation and wayyy better jobs. But I would still go in an get drinks from there. Sometimes matcha, milk tea with jelly, and our classic favorite mango smoothie.
We would watch Latea trying to bring a community there. Sometimes I would see students sharing their favorite kpop idol merch there in the corner, I remember when they had the Tubby Nugget there! I missed it but it was such a cute event.
This maybe a lot for a google review, or anything, also I'm pretty bad at writing so I don't even know if anyone will read this. But I wanted to tell the team that I will miss them in this beautiful corner of Culver City. My walk back home was more emotional than I expected after reading the closure announcement. Your drinks meant a lot to me, and I will visit before end of month for another mango smoothie.
Thank you for all these years!“

“Absolutely amazing!! I can’t begin to thank the owner for his generosity and help. We have a campervan and have had a tremendously hard time finding a place to fill. It’s been nearly impossible. We stopped by without much hope and he went above and beyond finding a way to make it work. He spent 20 minutes looking for adapters and we were successfully able to fill our tank, with fresh great drinking water no less. Highly highly recommend“

“I had a great experience at Starbucks today! The barista at the counter was incredibly polite and patient while explaining how to redeem my 500 Stars. He took the time to make sure I understood everything. The rest of the team was just as friendly and welcoming, and the store was very clean and inviting. Overall, an excellent visit! Thank you for the great service!“

“If you’re reading this, here’s the short version: this is easily one of the best restaurants in Culver City, and you need to try it now!
It’s a small spot in downtown Culver City that you could walk past without noticing. I’m glad I didn’t. There are a couple of tables outside, but most of the seating is indoors. The space is modern, clean, and relaxing.
We ordered three dishes, all recommended by our waiter. The mussel toast is a must. Every bite is savory and packed with seafood flavor. For mains, we had the short rib and rainbow trout. The short rib was perfection. Cooked over fire and served with crispy potato strings. It’s something you get at high-end steakhouse but at half the price. The rainbow trout looked beautiful and tasted fresh, though the citrus was a bit stronger than I prefer.
For dessert, we couldn’t resist the churro and ice cream sandwich. The ice cream (another must try), sourced from a Persian maker, was rich with rose, honey, and pistachio. The presentation was just as impressive. The churros were decent, though I wished they were crispier and the dipping sauce was thicker.
Overall, I’d give this place a solid five stars. The food is close to Michelin quality without the Michelin prices. Go and you won’t be disappointed.“
