“Aburi Shime Saba: (5/5)
The aburi shime saba is the best thing on the menu. It’s lightly poached and the caramelized sugar on top adds the perfect contrast of texture and flavor. I’ve been here a few times to try the appetizers, but the MUST GET item is still this saba.

Uzumakiya Udon: (4/5)
The Uzumakiya Udon is good，the noodles are chewy, not overcooked; and the broth is flavorful. The other toppings leave something to be desired, so if you want to be satisfied, order the Oxtail instead. (Although it’s gotten quite expensive😔）“

“As usual, Ramen Nagi has a long wait. Sometimes there are lulls in the line, which is when I happened to get in. The line is outside, so be prepared for the weather. When you get close to the front, they give you a sheet to fill out on what you want. I got the squid ink with everything the usual except with lower sodium and a 4 on spice. I should have asked for more spice, 4 was not that spicy! I also like the thick noodles, the thin ones are a little too thin. The meat on the top of the squid ink ramen was scrumptious!!

The service, once they get you seated, is super fast. I added the bean sprouts from the table to mine! We also split a chicken kaarage, which was yummy. I had enough to take home a little in a too go box!“

“I’ve been coming to Kowa since it’s opened in 2020. Always wonderful staff, not too loud, great quality ramen at reasonable price. I honestly think it tastes much better than Ramen Nagi, which is way too oily and always super crowded with a long line. As a palo alto resident, I highly recommend this cute ramen place!“

“This is the first time to dine in the restaurant. We ordered 3 items to share: a huge Omelette Rice, a curry rice and a ramen. Omelette rice was delicious, beef curry soup was different from others as it had only beef, no others. Ramen was also good. Good service, too.

“Had the vegan creamy ramen and it was delicious! Only complaint was that the vegetables and toppings were cold, as if they had just come out of the fridge. The thickness of the noodles was somewhere in between traditional ramen and udon. Their vegan broth rivals Marufuku’s, I think, but I prefer how Marufuku does their vegan ramen overall because the ingredients, both temperature- and texture-wise, meld together better.
I’ll try the other two vegan/vegetarian ramen options next time I come here.“

“Ordered the Tonkotsu soup ramen with thick noodles and less salt for myself and the black garlic soup ramen with thick noodles and less salt for hubby. The black garlic ramen was most flavourful. Both soup was rich and thick and the fried black garlic was fragrant. The pork slices were thick and soft. Have to say the ramen was tasty and satisfying, authentic to Japan. Have a try for yourself“

“Within the South Bay Area I’d rank this place pretty good. They have a good balance of price, quantity, and quality. The quantity was good enough for the price. The quality and taste was decent but I have had better in Cupertino. If I lived next to this ramen place I’d probably go eat it regularly without complaints. I like the decor and atmosphere inside. Service is also good and fast.“

“Hands down one of the best ramen I ever had. The tonkotsu ramen is amazing, tasty yet not-too-gravy broth, chewy noodles, refreshing sprouts and veggies, and on top of all, real good chashu pork, much unlike any bland pork slices elsewhere. Great service and fair price. Highly recommended, though do remember to reserve online prior to your arrival.

“pretty decent ramen inside of mitsuwa. we got the medium and it was actually a lot of food. broth was rich and noodles were good but i wish that there were a few more types of toppings on the ramen because it was quite meat heavy with large slabs of pork“

“Tried the black curry out of curiosity. Honestly, it was a very disorienting experience eating what looks like black sludge while simultaneously tasting curry. 10/10 experience if you want to try something unusual. They can also make the curries vegetarian, too.

The food is good but I wouldn’t say it is exceptional, however, giving five stars because the staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating even though we showed up 20 min before closing.“

“Excellent food and service! Some of the most authentic Chinese noodles I ever had. I have traveled to China before and had these dishes. The food here is just as good. Further, the dishes here are regional based (Central China). That means not many Chinese restaurants have these wonderful spices/ flavors. Highly recommended!!“

Prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly, even if the vibe inside feels a bit cramped and could use a deeper clean. It’s a small spot, so I’d recommend takeout or delivery over dining in. For the quality of food though, it’s worth it.“

“Yoshi Sushi has several locations in the Bay Area which all of them are so consistent with quality and customer service! I have been to the San Jose one and now I have decided to try the one in Los Altos. Parking was very easy as they have a spacious parking lot in front of the restaurant!

Upon walking in, we were warmly greeted by the host and directed the QR code for ordering. I love the QR code ordering system because it includes all the pictures of the items! There was so many options on the menu and it was hard to choose since everything looked so good! We ended up ordering 3 rolls, 1 dream box, and a smoking salmon sashimi which was perfect for 3 friends to share! My favorite was the giants roll and dream box! The slices of fish in the dream box were huge and it also came with some uni too! After eating the huge buttery slices in the dream box, I will be surely having dreams about sushi in my sleep!

1x Kamikaze Roll - so yummy, a little spicy
1x Smoking Salmon Sashimi- loved the smoke show, sashimi tasted smoky yummy
1x Giants Roll- as a salmon lover, i enjoyed this so much
1x Dinosaur Roll- reminds me of a dragon roll, but better
1x Dream Box- my most favorite, the slices of fish were huge and so buttery“

“I recently visited a ramen restaurant, and here are my impressions.

First of all, the atmosphere was very cozy and casual, creating the perfect setting for enjoying the food. The menu offered a variety of ramen options, and I chose the classic chicken ramen.

When my dish arrived, I was impressed by its size. The noodles were average in taste, but that's an acquired taste. The only downsides were the water glasses and the toilet, which weren't very clean. I wouldn't come back.“
