“I’ve been a regular here since opening day, and it’s easily my favorite lunch spot in San Ramon! Their kimbap is always incredibly fresh—I especially love the variety with the mini rolls and triangle kimbap. Their new kimchi triangle is a total game-changer and a must-try for any fan of spicy, fresh flavors. Beyond the food, the staff is always super friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend for a quick, delicious lunch! 😋“

“Authentic and excellently prepared traditional Korean dishes. This is my go to Korean restaurant in Concord/Walnut Creek area. Highly recommend this restaurant. However, if you want Coke Zero, they don’t have it so every time I go there, I always ask for Coke Zero just to place a seed into their minds to try stocking it.“

“Tried this place for the first time today and was so happy with my meal. I got the Bulgogi lunch special, it was delicious and super filling. Meal includes hot tea, 10+ banchan, rice, and a sizzling platter of Bulgogi. They even brought me extra kimchi when I was running low. All this for $20 plus tip is really hard to beat. Service is friendly and quick. I’ll be coming back for sure.“

“Love this place! Not super cheap, but not insanely expensive either (I haven't been in a bit, but I used to go pretty often)
Their fried chicken is super crunchy, and I honestly liked it more than Bonchon! I had a disappointing experience at the livermore Bonchon a year or two ago and I've had trust issues since, but this place has consistently served super fresh, crunchy, and juicy fried chicken!
I've also had their katsu, tteokbokki, and bulgogi, all of which were pretty good! The cheese katsu in particular was really yummy, great for my fellow cheese lovers 😈“

“We are vegetarian and tried their tikka masala tofu wraps, and the fries. Excellent taste, healthy ingredients, made fresh and fries were baked. The mint drink was refreshing 💚. Overall we loved the quality of the food. Maria was particularly great at hospitality.“

“Came here on a Tuesday night around 7pm. Probably only 4 other parties and got sat immediately. Older lady serving us came with waters and took our order within 5 minutes or so. After ordering, she came by with silverware, plates, and the apps (bon chon) which was pickled radish and kimchi. We ordered the cold noodles and hot stone bibimbap. About $20 per entree and came out to $46 after tip and tax for just 2 people. The perfect amount of food and made just right. Would definitely recommend if you love a local Korean spot that isn’t too crowded.“

“I only got 8 ban chan, that's still ok. Just the side dishes alone made coming here worth it. The Yuk gae Jang spicy beef soup was very delicious, I use it as a barometer to determine the level of the chef kind of like you can use plain fried rice to determine the level of a Chinese chef.
1/2026- The potato ban chan is my personal favorite, followed up by the bean sprouts and kim chee.
Bright atmosphere, hardly any of the customers here were speaking English. Strongly recommend this place.“

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This was a DoorDash order, so I can’t rate the atmosphere or in-person service since I didn’t dine in. That said, the food itself was excellent.
I ordered the Bulgogi toast and a dalgona coffee. The Bulgogi toast was delicious. The brioche was soft, sweet, and fluffy on the inside with a perfectly crisp exterior, and the sandwich was made really well.
The dalgona coffee was very strong per my request, which I loved. Bold, rich, and exactly what I was hoping for.“

“Chicken On Fire in Castro Valley is a true mom-and-pop gem that we've been coming back to for years. The chicken is always perfectly crispy and crunchy and made fresh every time.
The side of fries are always hot and crispy and make a great side order. The side salad is also helpful at keeping your mouth cooled down from the heat of the freshly fried chicken as well as the spicy sauces!
My wife and I usually split a medium order of wings and do half medium spicy and half spicy hot, which is the perfect balance for US.
The owner is incredibly kind and always checks in to make sure everything is good, in our lives as well as the food, which really adds to the experience.
Consistently fresh, crunchy, and delicious-this place never disappoints!“

“Great meal tonight with the wife. I had the Tofu Bibibop in a stone bowl. My wife had Tofu Soup. Both were fresh and delicious. The side dishes looked and tasted great. Service was friendly too. We would like to come back someday to try more items from their menu. Thanks for the nice evening.“

“So good and so dangerous being right down the street… The honey butter dusted fried chicken is like if Crispy Crunchy and farmer’s market kettle corn had a beautiful baby. Do yourself a favor and get some spicy kimchi rice with your chicken for that hot sauce style heat on the side. Bomb!“

“Fun and delicious! Excellent dogs!
Had the Monster Double Potato, which is about as crazy as the options get. Perfectly cooked. Chewy, crispy, and gooey. Solid hotdog on the inside, which some counter-style places don't seem to care about when they load it with so many toppings. Highly recommend this for hotdog fans!
Atmosphere is very casual and there are only a couple of seats, so a larger group / order will need to find another spot to chow down“

“I ordered the spicy pork lunch set here. The side dishes were tasty, and the set itself was well put together. It came with japchae, which was well-seasoned and had a nice variety of ingredients. The rice portion was slightly small, but honestly, the side dishes and japchae were enough to feel full. The amount of spicy pork was also generous.
The only downside was the noise from the fitness center upstairs—it sounded like dumbbells being dropped on the floor. It didn’t really affect my meal, but it might be stressful for the owner or staff. The server was very kind and friendly.“
