“We were in the area at the beach and I looked for Asian food and this place looked good and interesting since they have several options to make your own spring rolls. I thought that would be something different and fun for my grandson. We ordered the fried crispy egg rolls and the make your own pork spring rolls, they were both a hit. I wanted to try the Shaky beef since it was a popular dish and the description said the meat and onions are charred, it was the best Shaky beef I've ever had and I've had it at many restaurants. I've never seen clay pot dishes before so we tried the salmon, the flavor is so unique and flavorful!
Everything was so good and the staff was so nice, I stopped by the next day for lunch and got to talk with the owner Nghia, he has such a kind, humble manner. He was there at closing the night before and working first thing when they opened the next day. I will definitely return when I'm in the area!“

“More than just a Bahn mi shop. Cali Baguette is an authentic Vietnamese eatery. Besides an amazing selection of sandwiches (btw you can actually smell the fresh baguettes being baked!) “Came here for lunch with my parents, and we had a good experience! The restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating, and the atmosphere was clean and welcoming. Our server was Tom. He was friendly and provided good service.

We started with the BBQ Pork Spring Rolls (Goi Cuon Thit Nuong) for appetizer and they were absolutely delicious. The pork was juicy, tender, and flavorful, and the peanut sauce paired perfectly with it.

For our main dishes, we ordered the Grilled Chicken Rice Plate (Com Ga Nuong) and the Hanoi-Style Vermicelli with Grilled Pork Patties (Bun Cha Ha Noi). The chicken rice plate came with a generous portion, and the chicken was tender, juicy, and well-seasoned. The Bun Cha Ha Noi was the highlight of the meal! The grilled pork patties were incredibly juicy, tender, and full of smoky flavor.

Our favorite dishes were the Bun Cha Ha Noi and the Goi Cuon Thit Nuong. Everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and satisfying.

Overall, this is definitely a hidden gem. We'll be coming back for another meal and highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Vietnamese food with family or friends!“

“This is our favorite new neighborhood restaurant. Max was helpful with recommending the chicken wings as a starter. The Rib Eye Pho and Rib Bone Pho were amazing. We ordered bbq pork springrolls, filet pho, and filet rice and were impressed with each. Filet rice was probably my favorite. Abundant parking, sweet staff, and quick fulfillment of to-go order as well. Cucumber water was a nice touch while waiting. Feel very fortunate to live by this place and can't wait to go back. The reviews should be much higher. The other Vietnamese restaurants I've tried on Mira Mesa Blvd and beyond don't compare.“

People hate on this place cause it’s always busy and maybe their service or food is a little slow. I’ve had that experience AND the food hits 9/10 times. Try to go when it’s not peak hours on the weekend. LUNCH time here is the cheat code. Last note, I love a sweet coconut forward curry and so I don’t love their curry’s as much as the noodles and PHO.“
