Their wagyu cuts are 100% top-grade and not just random "wagyu" that are below the marks. We tried their A5 and M9 meats, not to mention their salmon carpaccio that is to die for. Their sides are absolutely delicious and smart, one great example is their fried pork buns that is like a spin on soup dumplings. To top it off, you get premium ice cream in the end. Their salad is so good with yuzu and smokey salt, plus you get a chili mix too. “Nice small family owned BBQ spot tucked away on a strip mall. Open for just a short amount of time but definitely worth it. Meats are sold by pound or half pound. Sides are pretty good. There are a few lunch benches inside and small parchment paper is given per guest for dine in. Very friendly family that will gladly answer any questions or help out anyway they can plenty of free parking outside including some handicap parking

Vegetarian options: Just sides but possibly not vegan. They are very nice if you want to call and ask specifically“

The brisket was very tasty and tender while the baby back was a bit tough. The pork belly taco was very tasty. Too much jalapeños but it was good. We also had fried ice cream and the bourbon bread pudding and that was excellent! The services could use some improvements. Food and desserts were served but there was no silverware. Took more than 5 min. To get the utensils plus we weren’t finish eating yet and they are ready to take our plate away without asking if we were done.“

Great place to visit for skewers ❤️ you don't have to worry about turning the skewers as the machine was set to do the turning for you.

The restaurant was super warm, coming in for this in summer is really not a favourable option. Steamed egg in cups were given as complimentary.

Vegeggies were relatively more expensive than meat options, wish that they could do more choices.

Rmb to check with the waitors about the numbers of food per skewer before ordering.

“This place is great and something I've been wanting to try for awhile and glad I didn't finally.

I had their barbacoa tacos guisados which was very tender and with cheese added. Their salsa bar added a lot to flavor to it and the barbacoa was very tender. Their chikali taco comes with beans and guacamole and I got it with carne asada. The asada was charred very well and seasoned very well also. The beans went well with it and were not soggy. The staff was very nice and helpful in describing what was available, popular, recommended and what they thought it should have.

There's some seating next to their shop which is convenient. Their agua frescas was very good also according to my friend. It was his favorite place so far when I took him the multiple taco joints in east LA.

“This spot is within a food hall and I love these setups because of the amount of food options available.

I ordered their bulgogi burrito with no rice along with their Korean spicy popcorn chicken. The burrito was phenomenal and one of the best burritos I’ve ever had. A bulgogi bowl but put into a wrap and the popcorn chicken was solid. Overall both items were delicious.

I’d definitely come back to try their other menu items and overall it was an excellent lunch!

“I found this new BBQ pop-up in Lakewood at the YMCA and I can’t say enough good things about it. From the kindness of the family that runs it, to the delicious food. Last week I had the 3 meat plate (I chose brisket, pork belly and chicken) which came with 2 sides and it was only $28! The brisket and pork belly were SO tender and juicy and had an amazing flavor! Earlier today I had the one meat plate with chicken, this coleslaw that is probably the best I’ve ever tasted, and their brisket chow mein. So good! Everything is homemade down to the sauces and they have things like burritos and Texas toast brisket grilled cheese. It’s called Axiom Kitchen. Husband, wife and kids and so kind…they made us feel so special. We haven’t had service like that in a long time. I know they are at the Lakewood YMCA on Sundays and I think Fridays and they are at another location on Thursday but I’m not sure where.“

They need to just go ahead and give you the other half of the 3rd egg so you won't have to fight your dining partner for the odd 5th half on the plate. We cut ours in half haha. Also tried the BBQ flavor wings, turkey California Cobb salad and a brisket salad. The wings are huge, delicious and you get 12 in an order. Brisket salad was flavorful. Thinly chopped napa cabbage as the main green was a bit unusual but still tasty and crunchy. Turkey Cobb salad had moist and delicious smoked turkey and generous sprinkles of blue cheese. Service was friendly and attentive. Definitely returning to explore other menu items and sides!

Parking: Unless you don't mind circling the block a few times looking for metered/free curb parking, there are plenty of paid lots to choose from.“
