“We had a wonderful time. We kicked off my hubby's birthday with great food, wonderful vibes and incredible service!! My husband could not stop raving about the eggs! We literally came back for the biscuits. I hate that I don't remember our waitresses name because she was so sweet and attentive. She was also kind enough to bring us a complimentary round of champs and mimosas!! This is our second time coming in and the service is not only consistent, it keeps getting better!“

“You have to go to l'Appart by Air Food to experience a delicious French bistrot ambiance. The ambiance outside is very friendly, covid-safe and cosy. The dishes are beyond delicious. Yesterday I had the Plat du Jour with delicious scallops and home made very tasty mash potato puree. The plate are so beautifully presented - it is a pleasure to look. The desserts were delicious as well. There is a shade that separates the table from the streets for privacy. Free parking in the corner street. Brigitte the waitress is very welcoming and the owner / chef are beyond nice. An address to discover !“

“We were a walk in with zero expectations considering the neighborhood this is located in, but wow -- it was lovely. The selections on both food and wine menus were limited, but very good. Much like a proper european restaurant, they are not trying to be everything and OK at it, they do a few things on which they excel. Atmosphere was great, much more Silverlake than Lincoln Heights. I recommend highly and will be back.“

“Came here to celebrate Valentine’s Day with my wife. The pictures of the place do not give it justice. The place has really a great vibe to it, music and a pleasant atmosphere to it. Love the light bulbs on the tables.
They had a fixed menu that we paid before, arrived and we were seated right away. Wife ordered a passion fruit martini and I ordered an old fashioned, both were good. The appetizers were a humus and red pepper feta with focaccia that was delicious, deep fried artichokes with a tangy sauce and a salmon tartare with avocado.
For the entrees my wife got steak frites with a chimnichurri sauce, she asked medium well but it came medium (my preference), it was tasty but not what she asked. I ordered the sea bass that was on a carrot purée, brusseel sprouts, cooked delicately with some spice to it.
Dessert were a strawberry and shortbread pieces and the other was a chocolate mousse.
Would come back again.“

“The fries were too salty, but the ketchup was amazing. The fish radish was too sweet and same thing with the burger sauce. The snap pea was too saucy. The dishes came out pretty fast and the service was great even during Valentine's Day weekend.“

“It's a small family restaurant with a high-end menu. I am very picky about escargots, and La Vie gets it right. This one is a must order. The smoked trout was good, but not a must. The duck is served to perfection - crispy skin and tender meat. We also got scallops and prawns, which were delicious, but the duck was the winner. Entrees come with soup, salad, and coffee at the end of the meal. We couldn't resist the souffle, one of my faves.“

“We had a 7:45 reservation, arrived at 7:37. Told we would have to wait until our reservation time to be seated. At 7:45 , told unable to seat us yet. Finally escorted to a table by 8:15. Table service was pleasant but slow. Our teppanyaki chef was pleasant but quite low key. The menu sounded interesting, but the food was not unique.. it was okay.. quite pedestrian. We ordered the DineLA menu.. if we had paid full fare, I would have been disappointed. When the check arrived, there was a credit card fee already included.. and that amount taxed as well. We were paying cash . Kind of sneaky to tax the credit card fee!“
