“Fantastic. We’re here from out of town and chose to eat here based on the reviews for good tacos. As we approached the restaurant my brother stared, “oh it looks like a house. This is going to be good,” and he was right. This is now our 3rd time eating lunch here in 8 days. First 2 trips we enjoyed the street tacos and today we ordered the torta. Can’t go wrong with any of the meet selections but my favorite is the al pastor.

We’ll be back to Palo Alto and that means coming back to Taqueria La Cazuela. Thank you for the great food and wonderful experience.“

You get to pick your own ingredients and spice level, and they stir-fry everything to perfection with that addictive numbing-spicy mala flavor. “As usual, Ramen Nagi has a long wait. Sometimes there are lulls in the line, which is when I happened to get in. The line is outside, so be prepared for the weather. When you get close to the front, they give you a sheet to fill out on what you want. I got the squid ink with everything the usual except with lower sodium and a 4 on spice. I should have asked for more spice, 4 was not that spicy! I also like the thick noodles, the thin ones are a little too thin. The meat on the top of the squid ink ramen was scrumptious!!

The service, once they get you seated, is super fast. I added the bean sprouts from the table to mine! We also split a chicken kaarage, which was yummy. I had enough to take home a little in a too go box!“

“I’ve been a huge fan of Craft Roots for 5 years and visit the restaurant in Morgan Hill every time I’m nearby that area. They recently decided to try a “ghost kitchen” model in Sunnyvale. I’m generally a skeptic of delivery-only restaurants, but am joyful in this case that Craft Roots is expanding in any form. And what I’ve had by take-out or delivery is just as good as the food from the brick and mortar location“

“I have to say, I’ve had quite a journey when it comes to my opinion of this place.

The fact of the matter is that I have found the following to hold true:

1. Redwood City is far away from everything
2. The parking situation is abysmal
3. There is never a table ready when you get there
4. The food is expensive

For these reasons I used to avoid going there- not because of the food quality but it wasn’t worth going there in lieu all these things.

That being said, their meat is great, the vibes are great, and their service is great. Their beef kofta is sublime, and I have to say their falafel isn’t too bad either. They also have a pretty good frozen date juice that I enjoyed.

If you don’t mind the 4 things I listed (I am personally starting to care less and less about them in lieu of the amazing food), definitely go. This is probably the best Arab food I’ve had in the Bay Area.“

Breads are well-made to perfection. Curry was good, nothing spectacular. I look forward to trying other curries.

The dine in experience was excruciating. We were offered the pappadam immediately after we were seated. We waited 30 minutes for the momos (appetizer) to arrive and another 40 minutes after we finished momos for the main course (1 curry & 2 naan).

While we patiently waited 60+ minutes in total for our food, there were plenty of to go orders slinging out of kitchen every 2-3 minutes. I suspect this restaurant prefers takeout (they also offer discounts for takeout if I remember correctly).“
