“I have eaten here twice today. Lovely staff - very attentive. My dinner tonight was PHENOMENAL! I had the pasta with prawns. I'm pretty picky about what food I feel is truly satisfying flavor-wise, and that dish was SPOT ON. It has capers, which I'm not a fan of, but there are very few of them, and perhaps I'm warming up to them as long as they don't overpower the dish.

“We had the greatest server, Taylor in your Rancho San Diego restaurant, Jamacha Road,. She was so personable, efficient, friendly and extremely attentive. The food arrived hot and it was delicious. It was a party of 3, and we all agreed the meals were the best we’ve had out in a long time. We thoroughly enjoyed it and Taylor made our experience delightful!!! “This was a lovely restaurant I came to for my friend's birthday. Every guest seemed to like their dish. I ordered a club sandwich (no bacon, no tomatoes) with a side of fries but I was a bit disappointed when they brought it with bacon and tomatoes. They sent it back and corrected the order, and it ended up being pretty good and very filling. The restaurant has an outdoor terrace that has a beautiful view on the pool area.“

“This place gets pretty busy on weekends! The parking lot may be full but you can still park along the street. It’s pretty large so there’s usually seats. I love the borracho fries, so good! Also the pulled pork and the cheeseburger are tasty too. The service is good as well. My one complaint is they run out of their popular items by 2pm, tri tip and hot links get sold out really fast. I know they can only bbq so much but maybe add some more of the popular meats?“

“I’ve gone to Applebee’s a lot of times over the years, but it’s been a few years since my last visit.

We decided to give it a try and see what it’s like since our last visit and if the food was better than we had last remembered .

We were immediately sat but after a few minutes we were told our waitress was leaving due to an emergency and we were moved to another table, which is no issue. The only downside was the new TV was not the baseball game.

Our new server was very nice and very attentive. We were able to put in our order for our drinks and appetizer and maybe a five minute wait for both of us to come back.

The wings were not super hot somewhere between lukewarm and hot .

I got 8 ounce sirloin, medium rare and she got a burger. The mashed potato portion is a little small with my steak, but good flavor. It was just more bloody with juices leaking than an average sirloin

Her burger was good, but it was the same situation where juice is leaking more than your typical burger .

The bill wasn’t too bad. I feel like it was justified with the food, labor, and service.

Though the table behind us, I feel with being a bit rude to our server as they wanted their steak comped due to it not being bone in even though they swore on the menu, it said it was. It seemed unfair that they wanted that to be redone, even though it was their error of miss reading. Our server handled it well.“

“Love, love, love El Cajon Bistro! It really is the best breakfast in town. Almost as if the North Park brunch scene found its way to east county, and I'm so happy it did. I always get a Benedict, the poached eggs are always perfect and the hollandaise is satisfying. The salsa that came with the breakfast potatoes was SO GOOD. I will be dreaming about it until I can have it again. My grandma and I always come here whenever I am in town. Highly recommend.“

“Our server was top notch, food wasn’t bad. I recommend the carnitas. We sat outside and the outside was nice and weather was perfect. I’d defile go back. The margarita was a little too stiff for my sister in law, but I guess that’s a good problem to have 🤣😂🤣😂“

“Been going to Kelly's for a few years now and mad a few friends here. The ladies behind the bar are all friendly, gorgeous and good people. I never have an empty glass when at Kelly's and prices are affordable.

Kelly's has fresh popcorn but doesn't serve food. There is a Mexican Take-out next door though if you get hungry.

“No mention of the lazy river, it’s the main reason I go in the summer. The only problem with it is the loud crappy music so early in the morning. Such a beautiful place to relax… in silence or at least relaxing music. No one wants BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! So early.. lord! 😩 One thing for sure, management won’t listen, maybe it’s to drive older people out of there and into casino to gamble… lol“

“My friend and I were looking for a bar and grill in El Cajon the other day and came across this place and I'm so glad we did! Food was so delicious, drinks were nice and cold AND they have a great happy hour selection! Definitely going back!“

“Food was good. I was able to get a nice, very full, 3 egg white omelet with spinach mushroom tomatoes and a pretty topping of Avocado slices.
(The old cholesterol needs to come down, so it was my best bet)
Decent size fruit cup.
Didn't have that "cooked on a grill with layers of grease from a hundred other breakfasts" taste.

Also added the Fluffy French Toast, which seems to be my "latest craving - could eat it anytime food." (I cheated. Just half the slice)

And the bread is "fluffy!" At least the size of 2 big slices of regular bread. Different & good.

I loved my waitress, Lizzie. She had the sweetest smile and was very attentive to our table and extras we would need.

The menu looks newer and it's a nice upgrade they did. Also, a nice change from eating at another
Diner favorite a lot.

This IHOP on North Second Street/Oakdale, El Cajon, is my favorite one & I would recommend it.

“Went at dinner time to watch Padres game. Seated after 15 min to Great seats to watch on big screen. Ordered the 44 muskgrove burger. Big juicy three patty heart attack! Delicious. Wife had cob salad and couldn't eat all. Great sport viewing and food.“
