“Delicious food , best Momo in the Bay Area“

“With prices going up, this is still a local staple at 6 something a sandwich. He packs my Bacon Bahn Mi with a good amount of meat! No cutting corners here :)

When I used to work in the area, I'd get their lunch plates they have wrapped up in the open fridge. Viet BBQ Chicken, Fried Egg Roll, and rice noodles are my go-to.

They also serve noodle soup, which a friend of mine way back said tasted like her mom's, very good; Chicken Pho.

Parking: If lot is filled there's always plenty of street parking“

“I've recently both eaten in and picked up frozen dumplings and chive pancakes to make at home. My gut tells me they really want to be take out only based on the interior of late. Which I fine, the food is super easy to make at home and really, really good!“

“My new favorite burger spot has been found! It’s not a millennial $40 burger with a side of “trying to be original.” It’s a standard burger place with a great selection of great burgers and sides. My mom’s loved the smash burger and I love the falafel. The staff were super nice and I can’t wait to come again.

Vegetarian options: The falafel is great! I got it with avocado and it added an extra layer of creaminess which was perfect.“

“Look no further for the best bakery - We needed a perfect cake for my son's celebration of life and we were so pleased with the masterpiece that was created. It was movie star quality and the design work was top notch. My son loved sunflowers and succulents and Pam created the most perfect design. My daughter sat down with her and explained detail by detail. You could see all the love in her design. And the taste of this carrot cake was the best I have ever had and I have had a lot. Thank you Pam & Gayle for the best cake for my son Michael's celebration of life 🙏“

“I’ve been here a few times and the food and service never disappoints. They have a pretty good size menu with not only rolls but also other options such as bowls and salads. We ordered the Bay Area roll and double spicy ca this time around along with gyoza and tuna nachos all super delicious!

Parking: It’s in a the plaza so there’s is always plenty of parking“

“An impressive array of vegan options (4/5 Green Stars) I would highly recommend trying out this Himalayan restaurant in El Cerrito. There are plenty of options for vegans and vegetarians and the quality every item we ordered was very high. I’ve had versions of each dish before but was impressed with Zomsa’s versions and rate Zomsa as one of the best Himalayan restaurants around. The Aloo Tikki (crispy potato cake with mint and tamarind sauces – vegan, $6) was a great start. The Vegetarian Jhol Momos (dumplings filled with kale, butternut squash, mushrooms, and spices, served in a sauce made from cashews and peanuts – vegan, $14) were really good. Often vegetarian dumplings have forgettable fillings, but I found these momos to be very thoughtfully made and satisfying. The Vegetable Thakali Thali was a great combination of several items that each added to the meal (veg curry, lentil soup, pickled daikon, sautéed mustard greens, and a papad – vegan, $17). Impressed by how satisfying these vegan dishes were – you wouldn’t even notice that the entire meal was plant-based. I’m giving Zomsa 4 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, for these reasons: • Even though there are several meat dishes, I was impressed by how much of the menu is not just vegetarian but vegan. More than a dozen main courses are vegan, along with several appetizers. Adopting a plant-based diet is the top thing you can do to mitigate climate change and deforestation, besides avoiding animal cruelty and the negative impact of the meat industry on society. • Local beer is available on draft, mitigating packaging and transportation impacts. • The restaurant used to emphasize the use of organic ingredients, but I suspect that the prices became too high to sustain this in El Cerrito. Appreciate the effort though and hope that they still use some organic ingredients, when possible.“

“Stumbled upon Gangnam while passing through the area and I’m glad we did, the Korean food here is homey and tastes just right. They do the classics well here as well ordered a tofu soup and a bibimbap, both of which were flavored well and a hearty portion.

The side dishes were authentic as well and we finished them all. Seating inside was a bit limited depending on the time of day and the staff were running around trying to take care of everyone but the food makes up for it. Prices were decent too so I’d recommend making a stop here if you’re in the area.“

Despite the event's delay in reviewing, I couldn't overlook their outstanding service. With a table reserved for 30-40 guests, I had pre-ordered the food as requested by the restaurant. They truly exceeded expectations. Every dish, from the appetizers to the rice dishes and soup, was simply exquisite, eliciting mouthwatering delight from all attendees. Despite the challenge of parking in the area, the food alone made it worth the effort. The service was nothing short of amazing, and their flexibility in accommodating last-minute changes due to unforeseen food allergies among our guests was commendable. I am sincerely appreciative of their dedication to ensuring a memorable experience for us and our guests.

“I recently had the Lau Lau…it was delicious. I need another one. I’ve been coming here for about six months now. I was a bit apprehensive due to the few complaints, so when I initially went I went in person. It’s a grease spoon hole in the wall and I love it. The Chinese food is good too. Always tastes fresh. Ordered my girls fries from here too. I almost ate them all, like y’all gotta share lol. Anyways, I gave a 5 stars. That’s rare for me. Staff is serious and nice. “My family’s favorite restaurant. The presentation is amazing and let’s not talk about the sushi chefs they do a tremendous job , one of the best sushi restaurants I’ve ever been to in the Bay Area it’s a hidden gem . I totally recommend it .“

“drinks are always good and it’s never a hit or miss. i always get the same thing but it’s always good or better than the last time never a one hit wonder! the sandwich i got which was the turkey avocado sandwich was okay. a lot of avocado and onion but little turkey. i’m sure you ask for your specific topping preferences that wouldn’t be a problem. found out about this place a couple weeks ago and have been a regular ever since. my new favorite boba place ever since the first time i came. highly recommend! (the boba in the picture is the devil zang zang, if you like boba and oreo and don’t know what to try definitely get that. it’s also the middle boba picture on the window.)“

“This is such a great place for Mexican food. I always order the same thing which is a ground beef burrito. It's my favorite! I am still yet to try their enchiladas. But this is a comfort food haven. You have to try it for yourself. I don't know how long they have been in business, but it's been for a very long time and in the same location.

Parking: The parking lot is shared by about 3 or 4 other businesses and the parking lot is not that big, but there is plenty of street parking close by too.“
