“I've lived in Gundo for a long time. This location has been many restaurants. Naturally. I've eaten and support ALL the local pizza joints. But I've never been here... Last time I was here was when it opened as JustaPizza. Eating this 2 slice combo and drink here... $9 for 1 toping each slice with a drink(big slices)... But I got 2 toppings today?... Wow. “For this yankee, the pizza was as close as it gets to any NY style pizza! The crust was perfectly thin (not too thin), the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and the cheese had a good bite. The service was neighborhood friendly. The young men working knew the teens coming in. They were all pretty down to earth and polite. To too off the experience, very affordable!“

“We were treated here by one of my rich friends and honestly, that’s probably the only scenario where a place like this makes sense for treating the whole family out. My family has a very high bar for food. People say I’m picky, and I’m like, “Please… meet my mother.”

Service-wise, this place is flawless. The staff is charming, attentive, and somehow manages to make you feel both fancy and comfortable at the same time.

Since it’s family style, we shared practically everything and with a party of seven, those plates add up fast. By the time the table was full, the bill was basically giving luxury vacation energy.

Out of everything we tried, the Radiatori Braised Beef Ragu was the clear standout. Rich, comforting, and the kind of pasta that shuts everyone up at the table for a minute.

The Garlic Knot bread was good, though we weren’t big on the pieces with the garlic ends. After some research (and by research, I mean a heated family debate followed by frantic Googling), we realized that’s a pretty common thing in restaurants — just not our personal preference. Oh and the drinks were on point :)

Overall, a lovely, polished meal… definitely best enjoyed when someone else is picking up the tab.“

“NY transplant always looking for great pizza in LA and I don’t know why there isn’t a line out the door here. Different from NY pizza due to the chewy sourdough crust but the square pie is unlike any pizza I ever tasted. Round pie is excellent too.

“Anyone that says the positive reviews are fake are jaded. Genuinely the best pizza I’ve had in LA, and the family that run it are wonderful, warm and hardworking people. I don’t think you have to compare it to NY pizza, it’s just standalone good—and you can tell a lot of care went into it. The quality and price is also great compared to other spots that charge $30+ for a pie. Sure it’s near the station, but there’s a parking lot you can quickly just stop in to pick up. It’s our new go-to pizzeria moving forward, and we’re happy to be able to support such a gem.“

The pizza was super yummy and the sauce tasted fresh and homemade. Although the sign outside says they serve sandwiches but currently they only have pizza and arugula salad. The inside has a small area of bar type seating, with a quaint outdoor dining area. If you love thin crust, you’ll love this pizza! It’s worth a drive to give it a try.“

“Best food ever. Best staff ever. My daughter suffered a medical emergency at the WeHo location. The manager and staff were beyond kid and helpful. Not that I recommend having a seizure at a restaurant, but Pizzana handled it beautifully. I do love their food. Authentic, fresh and delicious. Their gluten free pizza is the best in town.♥️“

But SAMO PIZZA is the real deal.

I’m a true pizza lover, and I honestly don’t mind driving an hour from San Fernando Valley just to enjoy their food. You can feel the love and care in every detail, from the packaging to their communication on social media. It’s clear how much they love what they do and how much they care about their customers. If they want to encourage dining there, they could certainly make the dining room more inviting with some simple, inexpensive upgrades. (Like loose the XMAS decorations and Santas. It's almost March, replace the burned-out light bulbs in the chandeliers, red-checked tablecloths on the tables, don't store supplies in the dining room or where visible from it. Some type of partition around the order counter would help).“

“Petramale Pizza is a hidden gem in LA! So happy to have heard about this spot because Steve's pizza is not only the tastiest I've had in LA so far, but the man himself is a joy to be around. I'd highly recommend the Margaroni.

Petramale pops up in a church parking lot every Friday which also makes for a fun vibe, especially in the late afternoons/evenings. It is a must try for any Angeleno and I can't wait to return!“

My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem a few years ago and I can honestly say any other pizza I try since doesn't come close to the amazing taste that Jack's pizza makes. We're lucky enough to live 3 minutes away from this place, so we usually pick up and bring the pie home, but it's always piping hot and perfection every time. I honestly don't go anywhere else for pizza since my first bite of Jack's pizza, and I can pretty much guarantee you won't either. This place has been around for a long long time, I think somewhere around the 80's and I hope they stay around making magic in the kitchen for many years to come. Their dow comes from NY. The taste is unlike any other in town. Very friendly crew with a couple of basic tables and chairs in a not fancy space at all..... interesting pictures of celebrities and NY subway posts.....if you're looking for finger licking great pizza. “I was but a youngin’ when I first came to this place, and the pizza is just as delicious as it was back then. Although Bonello’s may look unassuming from the outside, I would liken it to a geode— a hidden, sparkling gem that never fails to satisfy your hunger cravings!

Naturally, I visited here today with my good comrade, whom I met on the battlefield. I would gladly bleed out in this restaurant, taking my final breath in such a place of comfort and nostalgia. But I’ve still got some years in me yet… so that won’t happen for a while!

Anyway, I’m off to visit my uncle’s grave today. I’m sure he would have been as happy as a clam to know that I visited good old Bonello’s. He loved this place. I scorn the universe every day for ripping him away from our family… a cruel twist of fate indeed.“

“To start, we really do love the food but we always get take-out and of the 10+ times I’ve ordered EVERY SINGLE TIME ITS A NIGHTMARE TO PICK UP.

The pickup area is in the far corner of the restaurant and a sign in the front says wait to be helped. Somehow, it always takes at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged and then when I can finally get someone’s attention they either are very specific about the name on the order (ie, if I said Mike for Michael, they’d say they don’t see the order) OR they just say “it’s over there”. The one time I walked right over to pick it up they told me to please wait to be helped… please figure this out and I will be happy to give this otherwise delicious neighborhood gem 5 stars.“
