“I've lived in Gundo for a long time. This location has been many restaurants. Naturally. I've eaten and support ALL the local pizza joints. But I've never been here... Last time I was here was when it opened as JustaPizza. Eating this 2 slice combo and drink here... $9 for 1 toping each slice with a drink(big slices)... But I got 2 toppings today?... Wow. “For this yankee, the pizza was as close as it gets to any NY style pizza! The crust was perfectly thin (not too thin), the sauce had just the right amount of sweetness and the cheese had a good bite. The service was neighborhood friendly. The young men working knew the teens coming in. They were all pretty down to earth and polite. To too off the experience, very affordable!“

The drinks are always great (we alternate between their cocktails and the wines). We especially love the outdoor patio area—the ambiance is nice and relaxed. “NY transplant always looking for great pizza in LA and I don’t know why there isn’t a line out the door here. Different from NY pizza due to the chewy sourdough crust but the square pie is unlike any pizza I ever tasted. Round pie is excellent too.

“We love the pizza and pasta at South Bay Pizza. Our favorite is any of their pastas. Their chicken alfredo is our favorite, but we also love their chicken carbonara and their Italian sausage pasta. It is all really good.

We picked up our order this time and it was perfect. It took minutes to heat up. We would have loved to dine there, it is so cute and clean, but we just did not have time.

We also think their service is excellent. I love it when a to go order is exactly as ordered and I don't have to open everything first to check it. The staff is very nice.

The prices are fair.

Their pizzas are also great. We love their BBQ chicken pizza and their Buffalo pizza. It is just the best.

“Anyone that says the positive reviews are fake are jaded. Genuinely the best pizza I’ve had in LA, and the family that run it are wonderful, warm and hardworking people. I don’t think you have to compare it to NY pizza, it’s just standalone good—and you can tell a lot of care went into it. The quality and price is also great compared to other spots that charge $30+ for a pie. Sure it’s near the station, but there’s a parking lot you can quickly just stop in to pick up. It’s our new go-to pizzeria moving forward, and we’re happy to be able to support such a gem.“

“Stopped by for dinner because we were in the area. Ordered cheese pizza and were pleasantly surprised. This thin crust pizza was scrumptious! The pizza was super yummy and the sauce tasted fresh and homemade. Although the sign outside says they serve sandwiches but currently they only have pizza and arugula salad. The inside has a small area of bar type seating, with a quaint outdoor dining area. If you love thin crust, you’ll love this pizza! It’s worth a drive to give it a try.“

“Best food ever. Best staff ever. My daughter suffered a medical emergency at the WeHo location. The manager and staff were beyond kid and helpful. But SAMO PIZZA is the real deal.

We had the BBQ chicken pizza and the pepperoni supreme, and all 10 of us ate until we were full.

If they want to encourage dining there, they could certainly make the dining room more inviting with some simple, inexpensive upgrades. (Like loose the XMAS decorations and Santas. It's almost March, replace the burned-out light bulbs in the chandeliers, red-checked tablecloths on the tables, don't store supplies in the dining room or where visible from it. Some type of partition around the order counter would help).“

“Petramale Pizza is a hidden gem in LA! So happy to have heard about this spot because Steve's pizza is not only the tastiest I've had in LA so far, but the man himself is a joy to be around. I'd highly recommend the Margaroni.

Petramale pops up in a church parking lot every Friday which also makes for a fun vibe, especially in the late afternoons/evenings. It is a must try for any Angeleno and I can't wait to return!“

“BEST PIZZA IN THE SOUTH BAY! My boyfriend introduced me to this little gem a few years ago and I can honestly say any other pizza I try since doesn't come close to the amazing taste that Jack's pizza makes. We're lucky enough to live 3 minutes away from this place, so we usually pick up and bring the pie home, but it's always piping hot and perfection every time. I honestly don't go anywhere else for pizza since my first bite of Jack's pizza, and I can pretty much guarantee you won't either. This place has been around for a long long time, I think somewhere around the 80's and I hope they stay around making magic in the kitchen for many years to come. “I was but a youngin’ when I first came to this place, and the pizza is just as delicious as it was back then. Although Bonello’s may look unassuming from the outside, I would liken it to a geode— a hidden, sparkling gem that never fails to satisfy your hunger cravings!

Naturally, I visited here today with my good comrade, whom I met on the battlefield. I would gladly bleed out in this restaurant, taking my final breath in such a place of comfort and nostalgia. But I’ve still got some years in me yet… so that won’t happen for a while!

“We stopped here after an afternoon at the beach: 4 adults, 2 seniors, and 3 children ages 2 to 4. Service was excellent, very accommodating and patient with our large group including little ones. The food was great, lots of choices, something for everyone. And it was happy hour, so we got discounts on pizzas and drinks! Reasonable prices, large delicious pizzas, friendly attentive service. Definitely 5 stars!“

“To start, we really do love the food but we always get take-out and of the 10+ times I’ve ordered EVERY SINGLE TIME ITS A NIGHTMARE TO PICK UP.

The pickup area is in the far corner of the restaurant and a sign in the front says wait to be helped. Somehow, it always takes at least 5 minutes to be acknowledged and then when I can finally get someone’s attention they either are very specific about the name on the order (ie, if I said Mike for Michael, they’d say they don’t see the order) OR they just say “it’s over there”. The one time I walked right over to pick it up they told me to please wait to be helped… please figure this out and I will be happy to give this otherwise delicious neighborhood gem 5 stars.“
