Portions are hearty and prices are reasonable. The lunch specials are fantastic. Not many places you can get 2 tacos, beans and rice for under $9 with good quality now a days.

“PERFECTION! My wife and I have been meaning to try this place out for quite a while, but we end up going somewhere else. We FINALLY popped in on sunday, holy cow, the food was AMAZING. The cheesy pull-apart bread, beyond good, it was like crack. The pot stickers, house-made, and the best I've ever had. Not by a little, by a lot. My ruben sandwich was 10/10... best I've ever had... it displaced the previous first place from 20 years ago in New Orleans. My wife just had a salad, but it was a monster, super fresh, and had a ton of blue cheese crumbles on it. This dinner we had, it was destination grade, and there's no place we can think of in 50 miles that even comes close. You can tell they use top notch ingredients... just sooooo good. Wait staff was super friendly, it was just so good I can't even say it enough.

For our entrée: *8oz lobster tail, baked potato and green beans *Surf and Turf, which included prime rib, king crab leg, baked potato and green beans. We ended our meal having cheesecake with raspberry sauce and creme brulee. Our sever was attentive and polite. He went above and beyond to make our experience a pleasure. The atmosphere was inviting and relaxing. We will definitely be back...highly recommend!“

Store has a lot of stuff and everything very reasonably priced. But for me the highlight was the restaurant section.ambiance is very homey, serving is traditional and so authentic it made me feel like I was at home. I ordered Qabeli Pulao it was soo… delicious it was more than anybody can possible finish at an incredible price. Other menu items looks delicious too. I will come back for more to try other dishes. “I'm surprised this place isn't more popular, everything was incredible! The Sopa Puerto Escondido was fresh and well-cooked, all of the seafood being delicately and skillfully cooked. Nothing was under or overcooked, which is very easy to do with seafood. The tomato broth was flavorful and rich. The whole dish was well-portioned and fulfilling. Carmen was an absolute angel and very comforting. She informed us of all of their vegetarian options, and had some great recommendations. Will be coming here again!

“Gift card scam. Mikunis implemented a new protocol in 2022. Any gift cards that were purchased before a certain (unknown) date, and now utilized, will be zeroed out. Back story: I attempted to use a gift card today (April 2023) and was informed it had a zero balance. The server kept my card. I had a gut feeling, asked for the card back. I spoke to the manager about how I could have a zero balance when I had never used it. The manager informed me that corporate zeroed out all gift cards that weren’t used. In order for me to get my money on the gift card, I have to call corporate headquarters and “request” an inquiry; which I did to no avail. It’s not about “expired” gift cards. It’s about not informing consumers ahead of a new rule that gift cards be zeroed out before a certain date. I’ve used 10 year old gift cards at other restaurants without any problem. Biggest scam ever.“

“This is the ONLY Mexican food restaurant in the area that matters. It is the closest to ✨authentic✨ in the area… (I’m in Roseville closer to the granite bay side.) The Flautas are usually my go to at any Mexican place and the ones here are perfection. Even the beans and rice are good. Tortas, are bomb. The asada is good, too. But my favorite thing to get here are the breakfast burritos. I will try more to add on to this review but after moving here early 2023, this is the only Mexican place I go to that is worth a damn.“

Before Anchors, it was a killer sub sandwich shop, and before that, it was Taco Charlie.
