“Ate there 10/16/2023.Recommend door alarm. Was the place busy? No. There was 1 already seated table and 1 table that came in after us. It took us walking up to counter to get noticed vs just walking in the door. We were seated and handed menus and plates. We had to ask for water. Food came out quick and fast and hot!!! Delicious!!But the service. Two employees. Both nose glued to phones. Then one was eating their meal and watching phone. Second one later too was eating their meal and on phone. So that uncomfortable feeling of I don't want to bother them while eating. But I should. But ... Had to interrupt to get refill of water. Had to interrupt to get bill. One table walked in and seated themselves and waited to be noticed... But eventually stood up and had to walk to counter to get their menu and such. The servers acted surprised to see them as they hadn't even noticed they walked into restaurant. They were very quick and attentive to food deliveries as they had to walk up to counter. Thus - food was great n fast and hot. But recommend as take out only to not interfere with phone time and their meal breaks.“
“Every Once in a While the Best Surprise is One You Never Saw Coming! The Bowl & Plate Eatery is Exactly That!!! Driving south on Magnolia Street in Anaheim Sunday, Feb. 25 around 6pm. Just before I reached Ball Road, I remembered there used to be a 'hole-in-the-wall' Italian restaurant tucked into the northeast corner of a little strip mall there. It's been a while so I wasn't sure what I'd find but I made the left turn into the parking lot to explore. No more Italian restaurant (sigh). But in its place I see a quaint looking sign proclaiming the new establishment's name: The Bowl & Plate Eatery. Some quick Internet searching gave sufficient details to convince me to enter...that and my growling stomach! A tasteful and minimalist small dining area offered seating for perhaps 15 guests. Upon my arrival this particular Sunday evening, I was one of three. The owner gestured for me to take a seat, brought over a menu and offered a smile so warm and bright I knew she loved what she was creating here. Seriously, her exuberance was evident in abundance. I'm now even more convinced I made the right choice for this evening's dinner. I won't list the whole menu but I will speak of my selections: - Chicken Vegetable Dumplings - Steak Salad - Choco Roti with Ice Cream Everything is infused with blended Asian flavors. The dumplings were perfectly seared on the bottom, offering a nice crispy-crunch with every bite. Their dipping sauce added just the right amount of 'Zip!' without being overpowering. The steak salad was heaping with fresh leafy greens of several varieties and the steak bites were perfectly cooked and lightly seasoned. The Choco Roti with ice cream was a last minute addition and WOW! am I glad I did. Small wedges of delicately toasted flat bread, drizzled with sweet icings and a touch of cinnamon, served with a healthy scoop of vanilla ice cream, also drizzled with icing. A great combination of sweetness and savory to end a fantastic meal. Mind you, The Bowl & Plate Eatery is not staffed by a team of experts, cranking out cookie-cutter meals-o-plenty. No No! It was staffed by the owner of that amazing smile, who also happens to own the restaurant. She handled it all, from greeting and seating, to explaining, order taking, meal preparing and serving. She's even her own busboy! And all of it in a timely, orderly manner. No rushing nor resting. A model of efficiency and a skilled chef t'boot. No need to ask if I will return. I will have to add this to my monthly restaurant sojourn list. The owner said she's been there for 3 years now and I fault myself for not discovering The Bowl & Plate sooner. And please note, this is not the steam-table Asian food take-out style place. This is well-crafted dishes prepared with passion and heaped with love of craft. Yes, you'll pay a bit more for this but with every bite you'll know it is So, SO Worth It! I'm hopeful The Bowl & Plate is well-visited to keep it in business. This level of original and fresh is rare indeed. I'll keep doing my part! Now it's your turn! Get to The Bowl & Plate for lunch or dinner today!“
“Kaizen Shabu is honestly such a vibe. First off, the food is AMAZING. The Shabu broth is so flavorful ? I’ve been craving this place so much it’s ridiculous. The servers are also all so friendly and knowledgeable about all the different food / drink choices. The vibe is always really fun as well. I highly recommend this spot!“
“The food here is absolutely delicious! I had the house special shrimp and it was delightful. The breading was perfect, shrimp tasted fresh and the sauce was really good. My grandpa had the orange chicken and he really enjoyed it, I had a piece as well and it was fresh and crisp. My wife had the Beef Pho and it was soooo tasty. Definitely some of the best pho we have had. The owner of the location helped us pick wjat yo get, and was very helpful from start to finish. It is a family owned restaurant so totally get some TLC. The ambience us great, pretty spacious with very cool fish tanks as well. If you are in the area, I suggest you give this spot a try, you won't regret it.“
“It’s Anaheim and this place is a hidden gem. Food is authentic. Portion is huge for nowadays. So far, we tried Pho, chicken fish sauce, bún chả Hanoi, shaken Salmon with garlic noodle, bun thit nuong, spring rolls. I like the fish sauce chicken so much I have to it every time I come here. Wells, it’s my second time :) but this place will be my home place when I am craving for Vietnamese food.Kid-friendliness: The owner is so nice offered my son a little bowl of pho soup no charge :)“
“Flavor: 5/5 - The tuna melt and tomato soup combo is incredible, creating a perfect soup and sandwich experience for a cold day.Price: 4/5 - The prices were quite reasonable.Quality: 4/5 - Well-crafted and homemade recipes, with some ingredients listed as organic. However, the presence of additives and cooking oil quality remains unknown.Service: 4/5 - The lady who took my order was kind, and the food arrived promptly.Ambiance: small, quaint, and geared towards takeout.“
“Indulging in the flavors of this family-owned Thai gem is an experience you won't soon forget! From the moment you step in, you're greeted with the aroma of freshly prepared dishes. Their commitment to freshness is evident in every bite – whether you're diving into their delectable sushi rolls or savoring the succulent garlic and pepper steak. One of the highlights of dining here is the warm and welcoming atmosphere that comes with a family-owned establishment. You can feel the passion and dedication in every dish, as if each one is crafted with love and care. It's not just a meal; it's a culinary journey that leaves you craving for more.Their sushi selection is truly outstanding, with each roll bursting with flavor and expertly crafted. And when it comes to their garlic and pepper steak, prepare for a symphony of tastes that dance on your palate – tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned.Whether you're a regular or a first-time visitor, this Thai restaurant never disappoints. So if you're craving fresh, flavorful cuisine served with a side of familial warmth,Kid-friendliness: It’s not the best kid restaurant, but they are very accommodating for kids aswell.“
“Everything from the entrance to seating, vibe /music & of course food. Everyone has been so friendly & attentive & the food is fresh, savory & delicious. Feels like we're visiting friends. We'll definitely be coming by more.“
“Yesterday I had gone to Kare with my friends and family , first the side options had a very wide range , as well as main dishes, I definitely recommend the gyoza unfortunately we ate them before taking pictures, with a crunchy outside and warm inside ! very enjoyable. Also the girl who had helped us was very kind and patient with our order since it was new to us. 100/10 recommend if you ever go to Rodeo!“
“Went at 5:30-6:30 and there was no one in the restaurant. So as I sat down and ordered the shaken beef with fries not sure what to expect. However when the food came I was quite surprised with the quality, with the beef chunks being perfectly seasoned and tender as can be and the fries being crispy on the outside with a soft and warm interior. I went with family and ordered 5 other dishes, all of which also surpassed all expectations and left us satisfied and collectively agreeing this place is much too underrated for the quality and value of the food.“
“This is a small restaurant, it feels very homey and the people who work there are sweet. The pad see ew with chicken is not as flavorful as other Thai places I've been to but I did enjoy it, especially with the different sauces they gave us.“
“Have been to several Loving Huts and this location is by far my favorite! The cashier/manager? and his family are very nice. The food is delicious and the store was relatively quiet, which I prefer, so I can have a conversation with the others in my group.“
“Came in with no expectation and left with tastebuds and wallet happy!I had reservations about coming here due to the name that sounds like it caters to the same Panda Express crowd. However, after some vetting and missing our old chinese Noodle house that closed down, we decided to give this place a try. What drew us in was the lunch specials. Duh, savings of any kind makes the food taste even better. We ordered from the lunch menu:-$13 kung pao chicken 4.5 stars!-$14 ginger fish 4.0 stars! (lunch special $12.99 + $1 for fish)They were busy with 2 large orders for catering but they managed to get our food out in a timely fashion. Although I do want to mention it took the server awhile before she came back to our table to grab our order. Poor girl, she was running back and forth. I appreciate the effort! So my ginger fish, really good and not too salty. They fried the fish pieces and than sauteed in a soy type sauce. I loved how crunchy and how the fish was super tender. For my side I wanted soup but they haven't made it yet. Luckily they're so good we'll definitely be back to try the soup. Lover's kung pao chicken was even better! Although it got pretty salty after a couple of bites. Going back and forth between the ginger and kung pao chicken was a perfect balance. It's worth mentioning going back for that hit of chicken always catches me off guard with how much umami flavor it carried. I want to say it tasted like *ahem msg, BUT the menu clearly states NO MSG. That's how good it was! I love everything about this restaurant so far and will definitely be back soon. A tip for parking: Super tight small parking located in the same plaza as Oli Boli donuts. You can't see it but go further back and there's more parking behind the restaurant. Do go during non peak hours. Winner winner chicken dinner!“
“At first we were skeptical because of the seating arrangement, but after tasting the AYCE broth and meat we were amazed. The host whom we believe is the owner of the establishment was very interactive and attentive. Would we come back? Yes we will.“
“Sushi offering was spectacular. There's an area where you could eat your purchased food so it's a nice place for lunch or dinner. Supermarket wasn't super big but you could get all your essentials. I really liked the Japanese snacks and candies.“
“Funky little place in a strip mall with the best Philly cheesesteaks I've ever had. Pleasant staff. Free refills on drinks. I'm sorry it's almost 90 miles from home, and I probably won't have another chance to eat there. Great experience. Fantastic food and the widest variety of choices I've ever seen.“
“THAT FOOD WAS AMAZING!!! Good price, sweetest owners ever! Gave us a bunch of extra things. My new go to spot!! Also incredible pre-pandemic style prices!!! Sitting there eating that delicious food was so peaceful and made my whole Wednesday HUGE PORTIONS!!!“
“Came here this morning with my family and wow the food was so good! I think what I really like about it was all the food we got tasted homemade and the price point is pretty great too compared to the prices in the Bolsa area. Needless to say, I will definitely be back. I look forward to trying the other dishes on the menu.“
“Came after recommended by a co-worker. Was looking to a legit Korean food place near my new office in Santa Ana. This is the spot! Got their Bibimbap and it was literally the best I have tasted. My wife who is Korean gets them all the time and I can tell you this place makes the best. I really love how it is family ran and the sweet Korean lady and Korean man work here. I feel like I am in a Korean home. The best part is I got to practice my Korea language with the Korean lady and she chuckled. I hope that was a good sign that I'm learning! Anyway if your in the area please come support this place it will truly be worth it!“
“Comfort food!! Delicious variety of soups and garlic noodles! The garlic noodles were packed with flavor and the green sauce that came with it was AMAZING! I like my soup hot so it was nice to have it boiling and you’re able to request it to turn off at anytime. I also love the dipping sauces. Service was AMAZING! Everyone was so friendly and we even got some milk tea at the end of our meal??“
“We often go pair Tabu Shabu with a wine tasting at Hi-Times, especially because we have someone with Celiac disease in our party and they are very aware of gluten allergies and are able to accomodate accordingly. The service is wonderful; the staff and always friendly and attentive.I also appreciate the cleanliness of their bathroom! The wait isn't too bad if you go at the right times. The only wish I have would be that the meat portions be a bit bigger.“
“Always amazing food, my kids and wife enjoy the chicken bowels with no skin on the chicken. Even when it looks busy the wait isn’t long at all. I would highly recommend trying this spot when you’re in the mood for a chicken and rice bowel. They also offer egg rolls that taste amazing.Thank you“
“I was in Anaheim and just searching for something healthy to eat. Glad I came across Umami Express on here! Ordered from inside Anaheim Food Co. at the screen. Easy process and food comes out fairly quickly like within 10 min of ordering. Small area but always clean. I chose the "Protein Lover Rice & Cabbage Bowl" ($15.35) because I know I needed to pack on some protein before my disney day! According to the description for the bowl, it states "Dairy free, gluten free. Base of shredded cabbage, heirloom forbidden and brown rice, chicken, pork, organic tofu, crisp water chestnuts, steamed broccoli, cauliflower, carrots, fresh green onion, toasted sesame seeds, our house-made Szechuan chili oil crunch, and a choice of our signature sauces. // gluten, dairy free // zero refined sugar" Sounded like health in a bowl to me so I was excited to try it. I chose the Garlic Sesame Soy Sauce and it was a good pairing. I appreciate that it comes in a little container on the side in case you don't want all of it in one go. I opted out of having water chestnuts because I wasn't in the mood to have that crunch while I ate. The Szechuan chili oil was also SOO GOOD! Had the perfect amount of spice for me. It was pretty hot so if you're not a fan of spice then stay away! The entire bowl tasted delicious. I actually didn't care for the pork esp it was large stringy chunks of meat that I don't think I was in the mood for either. I ended up trying to just give it to my bf to eat. I believe it's pork shoulder since there's a section of "pork shoulder bowls." The tofu was also good, large, super firm cubes. This is a pretty large portion especially there are 3 proteins in it. I enjoyed it so much that I cooked something similar at home for meal prep. My bf ordered the Chicken Rice bowl ($11.45) and it was basically like mine except no tofu or pork. He also loved the chili crisp and it was a good portion for him overall.“
“Exceeded expectations here. First time at this location and was blown away by the food. Got three egg sandwiches on round bread, buy 2 get one free. Sooo good! Toasted with cucumbers, daikon, cilantro, fresh jalapenos with a little added soy sauce and special mayonnaise like sauce. Really like the fact that it's toasted and it has cucumbers, unlike some other banh mi places I've tried. Vietnamese coffee and soy bean drinks and service were excellent as well. We will be back. Less than $4.50 per sandwich is a phenomenal deal!“
“Is Ten Sushi Cocktail Bar a 10/10 (or a 5/5 on Yelp)? Close, but no cigar!I found the food to be pretty good and the cocktails OK, but one thing that was a little lacking was the service. From the moment you walk in the door you're in a staring contest with the host, who didn't say anything until I said "For 2.". We arrived closer to 4PM on Saturday and there were only 2 parties there. We got seated then our not-so-happy looking server came and awkwardly introduced himself and somewhat explained the menu. He made some suggestions, but we went ahead and order a Crispy Rice Sushi and cocktails (Eastern Medicine & Kyoto Muke) to start. When he came back later, we ordered a Bluefin Jalapano Handroll, Spicy Domo Roll, and a Golden Dragon. The food was good:- Crispy Rice Sushi ($16): This was the best I've had so far compared to other sushi restaurants. I have to order this wherever I go. The sriracha mayo on top is pretty good and the smushed crispy rice on the bottom is good too. It's oddly satisfying getting the rice stuck in my teeth.- Bluefin Jalapeno Handroll ($11): It was OK, honestly for hand rolls I would stick with the specialty places like ROL.- Spicy Domo Roll ($20): This tasted really good, and was super refreshing. The lightly applied tempura flakes on the outside made it.- Golden Dragon Roll ($21): This roll came out nice and warm. The baked salmon was good, as well as the roll. There are thin slices of lemon between the roll, which gives the taste a little "twist", but honestly it's better without it.- Eastern Medicine ($16): I normally enjoy my whiskey cocktails but I wasn't a fan of this one. It had a Japanese whiskey, honey, lemon, and ginger.- Kyoto Mule ($14): This was to taste like a traditional mule, but I feel like it was lacking enough ginger beer.Overall, the food was good. The ambiance is nice as the interior has a nice aesthetic touch. There's plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There are a few seats at the bar as well with two TV's for your viewing pleasure.Parking is no issue with the multi-level parking structure located nearby.Service could see some improvement as mentioned earlier in this review. It would have been nice to see a few happy faces to make the experience a little bit better. Maybe it was just one of those days, I don't know.Prices are a bit steep and I feel like you can get a better experience elsewhere. They have a happy hour but I'm not sure when it is, (I didn't ask and the hours aren't listed online) but I'd think that would be worth checking out since the food is pretty good.“
“Stepping into DD Cafe, I was greeted with the the warm smile of Jasmine behind the counter. The staff here are incredibly friendly, exemplifying excellent customer service. They listen to every order, take time to answer questions, and ensure each drink is crafted to the customer's preferences. The ladies usually remember regulars' names and usual orders, making everyone feel like a valued member of the DD Cafe community. The atmosphere is laidback, lively, and inviting. The owner Darlene has created such a stellar service and welcoming ambience keep customers coming back again and again.“
“Best noodle bowl I've ever eaten! Highly recommend! There was a line to wait but it moved quickly. You use the app to order and the food is served very quickly. My only down score about the atmosphere is that it's a small restaurant but other than that it's great food and great service!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly food and provided silverware for my daughter who is still learning to use chopsticks“
“Had an absolutely amazing time here. Celebrated a coworkers going away party here and loved every minute. The establishment and ambiance themselves are immaculate and the food and drinks were incredible. The layout is perfect and conducive to an excellent time for watching sports or singing karaoke. Will absolutely be coming back to enjoy Cutie Lounge“
“I thoroughly enjoy this restaurant so much!!! Everyone I have brought to eat here has either become a full fledged customer themselves, or if not from the area, they have enjoyed it as much as my wife and I have. The service has ALWAYS been very minimal, but you are there to eat good food in a beach community, your not eating at the 4 Seasons. That said, if you need service, sit at the bar area, it will allow you to get there attention easier, and get more water, or whatever you required.“
“I am a big fan of the Spicy Tuna and Spicy Salmon. Me and my crew stopped here Thursday for lunch and it was delicious. I got a Spicy Tuna bowl. Fresh made tuna with a great taste. Place is inexpensive place. Great staff and food. I will be a regular.“
“Monique was great at customer service. She was very busy!! Despite being busy she made me feel valued and explained everything I asked. She didn’t rush me or my family and improvised very well. She also re made my drink with no hesitation. I could tell her team didn’t want to but she made it happen. She deserves more respect from them. I would recommend and come back. I didn’t try the food but it looked and smelled great. If they made my drink right the first time I would’ve rated a 5 star. Also they ran out of Boba and avocado drink which I was looking forward to, but like I said it was busy and towards the evening night time.“
