“I’ve ordered Ike’s twice in the last week on Uber Eats and this is honestly the best sandwich I’ve ever had. More specifically the Davinci and add lettuce tomato pickles red onion and banana peppers along with the Italian dressing and the garlic aioli omgggggg this is what dreams are made of. Also the French Bread and any of the bread is chefs kiss. Ike’s is EXTREMELY underrated and not talked about enough.

Whoever made my sandwich today (5/15/2026 at like 11:55am for my Uber Eats order) I hope good things happen to you for eternity and you always catch green lights when you’re running late. Absolutely delicious. I wish you had a shop close to San Clemente so I could treat my coworkers. Maybe Someday!!“

I’ve been coming to this Philly’s Best for over a decade now, and it’s easily one of my most reliable spots in Fountain Valley. It’s rare to find a place that stays this good for this long, but the quality has never dipped.

My go-to is the Philly’s Best with mushrooms, sweet peppers, and hot peppers. The heat from the peppers combined with the mushrooms is perfect every time. And if I’m sharing with someone, I always opt-in for the Philly Fries—they are a total game-changer.

The food is always top-notch, but the staff is really what makes the experience. They’re great people, always friendly, and they keep the energy high. It’s just a solid, local spot that does things the right way. If you want a legit cheesesteak, don’t even bother going anywhere else.“

“We came in last night and had such wonderful service from Ken and Pablo, so we actually were craving Subway again. This time we were met with a different set of employees and were very pleased that we received the same great service as we did last night. Today, Sylvia made our Sandwiches and soup. She was very polite and made our orders perfectly!! “This location is the only one I go to that they dont have the freshest bread and no spicy mustard. All the locations I go to have spicy brown mustard. Not the associates fault ,but whomever the location owner is.

I've been coming to this location since I was a kid and they've always had a lot of customers. It's still here too which goes to show you how good this particular location is.

Their banh mi are always tasty and consistent. Prices have gone up a bit over time, but it’s still a reliable go-to when you want something satisfying and quick.“

“Had a good experience at this THH. It was a great spot for a quick bite and they had a large selection of ready made foods. We just got a few different banh mi. My son and husband got bbq pork and lemongrass beef. They said the pork was the way to go. I had the fried shrimp and really enjoyed it. We also picked up some spring rolls. The Vietnamese iced coffees are nuclear strong, but super good. My husband has tried other locations and said this one is different and has more ready-made foods. It was pretty busy when we went there. I would go back. I saw a lot of things I want to try next time.“

Every sandwich we ordered was outstanding. The bread was fresh, the vegetables were crisp and vibrant, and every ingredient tasted incredibly fresh. It’s the kind of food that reminds you how delicious simple, fresh ingredients can be when prepared by people who truly care.

We also ordered a strawberry-banana smoothie, and to our surprise, Jerry brought complimentary sample smoothies not only to our table but also to another couple dining nearby. It was such a thoughtful gesture and speaks volumes about the kind of people who run this business.

What made the experience even more meaningful was hearing Jerr’s story. He shared that he came to America in 1981 after escaping the horrors of war in Cambodia. He endured unimaginable hardship as a child, including witnessing the loss of his father and being separated from his family before eventually reuniting with his mother years later. Listening to his journey made us appreciate even more the resilience, gratitude, and kindness he brings to his business every day.

Running a small business is not easy, and Jerry mentioned that the margins are tight and times can be challenging. After experiencing both the food and the hospitality firsthand, I truly hope more people discover this hidden gem. Businesses like this deserve community support.

I’m so glad I found this place on Google Maps and decided to give it a chance. The food was delicious, the service was exceptional, and the people behind it are genuinely wonderful. This is exactly the kind of local business I want to support.

If you’re in Irvine and craving a fresh, delicious sandwich made with care by some of the kindest people you’ll ever meet, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t be disappointed.

Parking wasn’t as bad as the reviews mentioned but I can see how it could get packed, especially with the other establishments in the shared parking lot. Outdoor seating was limited but didn’t have a problem getting a table for two.

Pastrami sandwich was great. Fries were greater (beef tallow).

The spicy Italian was good, but there was too much meat in it. Would have been happy with half the amount! Easily a shareable sandwich.

The butcher case and the fridges had some nice options to take home.

Definitely want to try the Smashburger next time - seemed like half the people outside had a burger and fries.“

The bread is amazing and baked locally which is a key ingredient to simply amazing sandwiches!
