“Tonight we, my husband and I, with our dear friends, the Crays, dined at Tomat for the first of what will be many times. The restaurant features a dining room and a roof top patio. A welcoming, comfortable space. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about all menu items. Our server Miley took excellent care of us throughout dinner and dessert. She assisted us with choosing items that would pair well with each other. She was never too busy to stop to see if everything was to our liking. She brought the chef to our table so we could let him know personally how much we enjoyed his creations. He gave us a bit of background on his plan of sustainability and creativity for his restaurant. The food was amazing. We had several appetizers. The tuna carpaccio was amazing, light and dark tuna with the freshest tomatoes. The welsh rarebit was so delicious. The weiser melon with strawberry kimchi was a delicious surprise. The house milled saffron rice was amazing. Our mains did not disappoint. The trout and chips were excellent. Everyone at the table said “best trout we have ever had”. The vegetable chips were outstanding. The vaca vieja ribeye was perfectly cooked. The pork three ways with chamoy was also perfectly cooked. Dessert was madelines, warm from the oven, with the strawberry sorbet and the saffron ice cream. All were outstanding. Overall, this was a fabulous dining experience. Great food with great service in such a comfortable atmosphere. And, we have already made reservations for next month!“

“This review is for the drinks only, I'll update again for food! This place was pretty busy on a Sunday evening although it was a rainy Labor day weekend.

We got the Gangster, which was in thr sweater side. The Inverted Jasper and Emerald city. Both cocktails were decently strong and had a nice flavor combination.

The resturant had some outdoor seating and had a great romantic upscale vibe. The bathrooms had bidets! It's great for date nignt and there's also a piano so would love to check it out when they have someone playing live.“

“As always, the food was amazing. Every dish was good. Highly recommend the Crostini, Parker house rolls, and octopus for appetizers. Salmon was cooked perfectly, the scallops and pesto pasta light and bright, the bolognese pasta tasty and not to heavy, and the sea bass was melt in your mouth. My all time favorite is the chili and lime avocado salad. Service not only from our server, but all the other workers, including the hostess that seated us were all incredible,“

Most Tuesdays the Queen Mary has an event called Meet Me at the Mary. You must make reservations online. 4-8 pm. Gives you free access to the whole ship, parking is discounted to $10. (you must validate at the bar).

You cannot beat the atmosphere and view. 1930's decor. Live band with singer, playing big band music.

You can self-tour the ship before or after. (Engine room closes at 6pm).

They discontinued happy hour prices November 2025.

Food was great. We had a Flatbread (Queen Mary 3 Stacks, sorry we ate half in the picture) and Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Bistro Chips.

We were a group of about 40 and from the very beginning, Liz made the entire process so easy and stress free. I got to meet Zach the night of the event and he was exactly the same way. They both understand hospitality and made us feel so welcome and taken care of. “There's a hidden treasure in back of Playa Provisions. In the front door and keep walking straight, past the ice cream, and the restrooms then down a dark hall. There you'll find a door the leads into one of the best bars in the city, Grain. On a recent visit I opted for the 'Bartenders Special' saying only that I liked Rye. Omar prepared a cocktail for me that was a riff on a Greenpoint, which is itself a riff on a Manhattan that was the best cocktail I have had in a long time. Be sure not to miss their food themed cocktails, unique and delicious. Highly recommended!“

Obviously, no one read the request and didn't care. Got the eye roll gesture body language. Typically, the Restaurant is on top of it. Still the fish tacos are outstanding and chicken nachos Loved the food. We've been patrons since Hudson House open and always will be!!“
