“Waited about an hour, totally worth it!
We had har gow, shu mai, beef rice roll, baked bbq pork bun, fried chicken dumpling. Our favorite was the beef rice roll and baked bbq pork bun! The bun is so buttery and the bread by itself is so yummy.“

“This gyoza bar has three styles of gyozas with a variety of fillings. I got the traditional gyoza teishoku (set meal) with yaki (pan fried) pork gyoza. The set came with rice, cabbage, spaghetti, miso soup, veggies, and pickled radish. The gyoza were flavorful and paired nicely with their house chili oil.
I also noticed they have a good happy hour deal and serve desserts now!“

“I am Chinese and I think it's a great casual place to get authentic dim sum dishes! Ignore the fussy reviewers - of course it is not a formal restaurant so you cannot expect the full service/menu as such. I got the chinese broccoli - yes its a cold dish and it's delicious! Leek dumplings which were huge, perfectly steamed and full of leek and prawns. Finally the har cheong fan (which is my favourite dim sum food ever) was full of large, juicy prawns. Everything was fresh, delicious and generous. I found the service very friendly and fast.“

“What an awesome little restaurant that popped up here. Was looking to try something new and found this amazing little bao spot. The most amazing thing is how they fry these bao. The bottom is hard and crunchy and the top is soft, making a soup filled bao in either seafood, curry or the standard pork. They sell them in quantities of 6 and 2 to 3 is enough to fill me! Highly recommend a quick lunch or dinner here, you won’t be disappointed in the authentic flavors.“

“Parking is horrible. You have to quickly turn in the parking lot off Garfield, but you have to go slow, or you will miss it the entrance. Order window is right on Garfield Blvd. On really busy days, they run out of food fast. Everything I have ordered has been delish. Just don't l like that they close by 5:30pm and you have to have cash. Food, price, and amount are 👍👍😁

“The “Vegetarian Dumplings” are delicious and well priced. You can almost get full from that alone. If you want to be full, it's probably between $20 and $30. The staff is nice and there is a good selection of dishes.
Vegetarian options: Great selection of vegetarian dishes.“

“This is a decent place for close to authentic Chinese (mostly Cantonese) food and dim sum items served all day. The actual restaurant is nondescript but we got excellent, very attentive service. Almost everything we ordered I would get again - veg and egg fried rice, scallion pancakes, Chinese broccoli, beef and udon noodles. The only disappointment was the juicy pork dumplings were not the juiciest we've had. Portions were enormous, each dish could feed at least two.“

“Glad to discover another nice Taiwanese restaurant around LA. Very hospital staff. The beef noodle soup is certainly their specialty - unique thick al dente noodles, very tender tendons (chunks of beef not so much), interesting broth with herbal accents. Impressed by their shrimp & pork dumplings - the pork portion was probably fulfilled by the filing of XLB on the menu, which made the dumplings very pleasantly juicy; just wished the wrapper were thinner. In all, don’t expect anything extraordinary, but great value and certainly above peers.“

“I haven't been able to try this restaurant since it reopened and I had just the time to do so today. All the dim sum was great, just no BBQ pork buns 😂. The dumplings were thin skinned and tender and tasted similar to what I had in China and the waiters were friendly!“

“This restaurant was a go to place for my mom in the early morning cuz it opened at 8 am. The dim sums was decent but it lacked varieties so choices were limited. Almost all dim sums costed $5.28 per dish except few bbq n special items.
Parking: During weekend around lunch time, it was difficult to find parking nearby the restaurant.“

“Handmade with love. Tastes as if I'm at my Halmoni's house. Delicate, real and subtle Korean flavors of my childhood, not too sweet or salty. My bf and I ordered the steamed veggie dumplings, chive pancake ((better than my Sumo's! Shhh)), king sized veggie dumplings, side of rice and miso soup. Cooked to order -- be patient. Soft textures. Sweet, hardworking couple. Our fav is the steamed veggie mandu. Vegetarian friendly. Perfect meal. ❤️❤️❤️🎶🎶 I love this place, if I lived in LA I'd be here all the time.“

“A well-known Chinese restaurant with a good size menu. They also have a small Dim Sum selection. The restaurant is clean, the service is good and plenty of off-street parking. The food is well prepared and tasty. We had the pork fried rice and the orange chicken.
Parking: Approximately 20 spots of free off-street parking. Pull into the driveway and park behind the restaurant and you can enter the restaurant from the back door or the front door.“

“I keep coming back for the veggies. The green beans and the seaweed with tofu is the best. Their knife-cut noodles with mushrooms have this fantastic smoky flavor—though the portion is a little small. Thankfully, you can swap in brown rice if you prefer.
The Salt & Pepper Tofu is a standout—crispy on the outside without being overly breaded—and the Spicy Pork Dumplings are just the right level of heat.
Pro tip: Parking is easier across the street if you’re cool with a short walk.
Downside: They can be a little understaffed at times“

“The food was VERY delicious! I can't recommend the stewed beef over rice enough, that dish is AMAZING! The gentleman who took our order also let us know about their anniversary promotion, which resulted in a discount that was enough to make our drink free and still took a little bit off of our bill. I would've given a full 5 stars if it wasn't for the show speed of the food run. They were fulfilling a very large phone in or online order, and I think this slowed down the kitchen so much that of the 2 dishes we ordered, we didn't receive any of our food until about 30 minutes after we ordered, which was only 1 of the 2 dishes. The 2nd came out about another 20 minutes after that. All in all, I would definitely come back.“
“Wow! Meat pies from heaven in a mini- mall off N Garfield Avenue. Everything here is great. Not a sit down place as such, since it's really small and they only have a few tables, but I'm sure you could eat in if you wanted to (they have a short menu) - but it's not really a restaurant atmosphere - more of a small hole in the wall family run takeout, with Grandpa making dumplings by hand at a table when I was there. There seems to be very little English spoken here. Very delicious and authentic - I'll be back!“

“Capital Seafood is one of my favorite Dim Sum restaurants in LA. They offer all the traditional Dim Sum dishes, and everything is incredibly fresh, served from old-school push carts. The service is top-notch. Whether you’re a Dim Sum lover or trying it for the first time, this place is a must-visit! Highly recommended. Don't forget to try the delicious desserts.

“Having Mama Lu’s 5 min away is seriously dangerous! This is one of our fav spots for Chinese spots and for good reason. The food is always delicious and they serve generous portions. This time we ordered the lobster noodles, shrimp with scrambled egg, shrimp, napa, & pork dumplings, spicy wontons, juicy pork dumplings, and sizzling filet mignon with black pepper sauce. Top favs of the night def have to be the lobster noodles, the sizzling plate, and the spicy wontons which always hit. Service was quick and friendly as usual.“

“I will be back but I won't order number 22 next time. It's the traditional house ramen but the pork came with the skin that looks like chewing gum. The seasoning was great. The noodles were cooked just right and had a good consistency. They could have added a little more bean sprouts. The service was so charismatic that even though it wasn't the best ramen I've ever had, I'll be back again since the price is super super fair.“

“We all surprise that it surpasses our expectation. Our expectations were average given I drove pass it multiple times and not see much people inside during peak weekend dinner hours.
The menu is print in paper. We order the red steam fish $45 per pound and Boston lobster at $28 per pound. All taste good and doesn’t seem to overdose with MSG. The rice was hard but that’s just me.
I was anxious to post a good review fearing that their business may pick up and we would have to wait next time. My father and brother say their slightly higher price may keep the people at bay.“

“East Garden in Chinatown is a must-visit for dim sum lovers. Their shrimp dumplings are huge and juicy, while the fried dough is crispy and satisfying. The beef rice noodle rolls are soft and tender with just the right amount of sweet soy sauce. We also loved the walnut shrimp—creamy and perfectly paired with candied walnuts.“

“I remember coming here a few times before CV with friends and family. The dim sum was really good. However, today I ordered to go and they didn't even offer any utensils or sauces. It looks like they remodeled the place. The ambiance is great, very fancy and clean with a huge chandelier. Dim sum was cold. Egg tarts don't taste that great compared to other bakeries in SGV.“

“I bought half a roast duck. It tastes good and is just right salty. However, I suggest you put the roast duck juice in another container or use a more airtight box. I bought the roast duck a few days ago and I was more careful when handling it, but the juice was still there. It leaked into the bag...and there is no duck neck in it. I don't know if it is not included or if I have to ask.“

“Quite enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and value for the price. I will say we didn't receive what we ordered. The staff were friendly and efficient but too busy to stay on top of everything. Would definitely go back, but maybe after trying other dim sum options first“

“I am not sure why this restaurant doesn't get better ratings. Let me explain - I am a Singaporean Chinese in my 30s and this is by far one of the best Chinese food I've eaten in my life. My husband and I got the sour cabbage/sauerkraut with beef noodles, chilli oil pork wontons and pot stickers through Uber Eats and we honestly didn't expect much.
Surprisingly, the dumplings were very juicy and meaty!! Usually, Chinese restaurants would just serve vinegar on the side for the pot stickers but our dipping sauce was quite different - besides vinegar, there were also garlic bits and what I might suspect was sour plum juice? The chilli oil pork wontons were also not too spicy or acidic, but full-bodied and not overwhelming.
As for the beef noodles, the soup was just perfect on a (not too cold) winter night. Again, it was not overly sour to stomach and had a nice well-rounded flavour. Though the noodles were slightly soggy from the delivery, my husband and I didn't mind it too much because we were busy downing the delicious soup. It probably would have been better if we ate at the shop itself with everything piping hot!
What a way to end my last night in LA! Great food with American-sized portions with Chinese flavour intensity!!! My husband even said that he would drive one full hour for this.“

“This place is lowkey and so legit. We love getting the taiwanese purple rice rolls, pork buns, and hot tea (that tea is a steal ngl). There's enough menu items you can take your time exploring, or eat some tried and trues. Everything tastes made from scratch. Prices are affordable. The servers are so sweet and kind. Like what's not to love?? The majority of customers are Chinese speaking, but we got by fine with English XD Morning Summit is always the perfect way to start your day...arguably best breakfast place in town!“
